Food was delicious and the service was friendly and great.Due to cerfew, we had desert to go. And they even did a half cream half icecream split for me to go with my absolutely delicious bar-one brownie.

Worst experience at any spur Ive ever been to. Adjusted my previous rating to reflect this. Breakfast arrived only after people had already eaten. No stock on basic items, manager blames riots even though Spar is right next door. Cold coffee and waiter refuses to bring jam and Sauces. 45 mins later still waiting for warm coffee.

Just bought two Monday Special Burgers - rib burger. Im on my way home after work, they are our dinner tonight.The bottom of the bun is so wet like it was sitting on water. And this is for both of them. I cant even go back and complain since Im on my way home.I am never going to buy here again... This is not the first time Ive had lackluster service or food from this place.I understand why this place is always empty when I passby it.

Let me be honest with everybody out there that is reading this review...1. This is a family restaurant for a big chain of restaurants in South Africa.2. This is no fine dining experience, no matter from which angle you try to approach the topic.3. Are they busy on special days such as public holidays? Yes they are, and this is where you will find variations.4. A special meal deal is a special meal deal, do not expect to get a plate bursting out of its seams with stacks of food, you will have to spend money to experience that dream.Now the next question on everybodys lips would most probably be: Why did you go there in the first place? I was invited, and I respect the people that invited me. This is not my first choice of restaurant by any means, I would rather support the small intimate, up and coming individual entrepreneur, and once again, please do not think I dont want to support this chain of restaurant, it is just not in my genre anymore.My variations that I experienced on this busy day was robotic waiting staff, food not being delivered in chronological order, food served cold. A building can house a restaurant, interior decorating styles can identify a restaurant, however, if there is no warmth within, it is just another restaurant to go and have something to eat.

They have rearranged the tables very well to accommodate Covid requirements. Restaurant was not too crowded. Food and presentation was good and portion sizes were adequate. Kids enjoyed the play area which is quite big and able to cater for kids aged 12 as well. Service was good with the waiter very accommodating to special requests. An enjoyable experience.

Pleasant meal at the Chatoga Spur. Black Label Draft was not ice-cold, bordered warm. Food took a little long to arrive (30min) for what we ordered. Sent the ribs back as they were dry. Replacement was better. Next time will stick to burgers, can’t go wrong with Burgers at Spur.

I went for my sons birthday dinner, waiter was good. We forgot his charger. I went back few days later to collect it. The male manage I found was not very helpful and not a good attitude towards me. Waiter confirmed she gave the charger to management. I arrived there at 12, the manager just told me I must wait for the other manager who starts at 2 maybe she knows where charger is. I asked him to phone the manager as I dont have time to wait. He rudely told me even the other manager says she never received charger. He was not helpful at all. I stood my ground and asked where they keep things left by customers. He said he could offer me a charger head with no connection as connection was his. Long story short I took the head and connection he claimed was his only to find it was actually my sons charger. His attitude was really bad for a manager.

Have been ordering from this spur for a long time and had already written a review but what I experienced today is by far the worst. The take away packaging for the meat specials was horrible and soggy had to cut it out of the paper bag hot vegetables were thrown into the bag and mixed together instead of being separate. The wings sides had no sauces.

Worst experience ever i had booked for my daughters birthday and I really regret for even wasting my time with them the waiter had no time for me and my family he never checked up on us and we were served cold and dry burgers for the kids what really frustrated me the most is the kids were served ice-cream in a coffee cup and we were told that they dont have enough ice creamebowls were the table across us had been served ice-cream in bowls and the table that came after us, what was the icing on the cherry was when i had to pay and the card machine could not print out the slip and we had to go to the front desk for assistance from one of the managers who just pulled my card out of the machine and threw it on top of the counter and shouted at the waiter in front of me about the whole card issue I had thought since this spur was big Id have the time of my life like I always did but I guess I was wrong

The food is delicious. The staff are friendly. My wife was given a gift voucher for her birthday. Being pensioners and not wanting to exceed the amount of the voucher, if we could help it, we looked at the menu and extras and our waitress assisted by calculating and making suggestions to stay within our limit. We had enough to eat and had enough over for a tip.If I could recommend a Spur, it would be this Chatoga Spur in Glen Marais. It would be very unfair to single out one waitress but this does show choice of staff to assist in serving their clients.

I have not visited Spur in 6 or so years, but came for a takeaway when I saw they offered ‘The Beyond Burger’. My rating is for this burger meal only; it was fantastic! Everything was fresh and tasty: the bun, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, sauces, chips and onion rings. I also ordered the waffle and ice cream for nostalgia sake. The ice cream was still good, the waffle was not that great. It seems like a different recipe.Kudos to Spur for the environmentally friendly takeout packaging, I loved it!The service was average; waitstaff not that friendly or welcoming.

Still a good Spur to visit especially with the kids play area, we had a great breakfast.Following all the necessary COVID protocols with social distancing and sanitizing, so you have one less thing to worry about. Even the play equipment gets sprayed regularly with sanitizer.

It is always a pleasure for us to eat here. The food is always tasty and well prepared. Once again the service we got was outstanding. The waiter knew the menu items and was helpful with suggestions for add-on as well as main menu items. This is the best Spur in Kempton Park. We do however miss the more crispy onion rings. The new rings with no colour is not enticing. The first time we ever had these left on our plates.

Chicken was off. No discount offered, manager did not bother to come apologize while in store. Toilets for ladies smelt bad was not cleaned. Will not begoing back. Will drive out to papachino for kids to eat and play rather

Coming from spur as a family restaurant this spur is really bad and really disappointing. Ordered my steak done and came back rare. I have never send anything back before. Coming from a 5 star Hospitality employee my self. My food came back and the steak was exactly the same. My chips and rings was cold. So didnt bother eating it and send it back again. My family enjoyed their meals. Went to McDonalds for a burger instead. Worst of all I still got charged for my meal.
