I must say I was very shocked with the terrible sevice I received from this particular Spur, it took the waiter almost 20 min to attend to us and before he even came I could overhear in the background how he was not happy to come and serve a table which includes kids because apparently we sit long and he wants to knock off, when he eventually came to take our order he said he was coming back to wipe the table and that was another 15 minutes of waiting with hungry stomachs and no drinks on the table let me not mention how there was not even a smile from him even when we greeted him with smiles on our faces knowing very well we are irritated with the service. Our order was eventually taken after sitting for almost 40 minutes, took another 20 minutes for us to get the food and the restaurant really didnt look that busy, kids received their food with exception to 1 child of which she received her food with ours when the other kids were almost done, food was great and cannot say anything negative about that however the beverage my partner received had floating particles inside and when we made mention of that we were told they would advise the manager of which we never saw until we left, see image of the floating particles which we noticed when he was almost done with the drink. Im very disappointed dont think I will be coming to this restaurant ever again 😡

I havent been to this Spur for sometime before this part Wednesday but Im coming for the second time this week. One consistent thing here is the loud staff💆, its like they have forgotten that they are at work. When I came earlier during the week there was even a staff member literally hammering nails into tables (doing tags or something) during operating hours while some people were actually working on their laptops. I understand that Spur is a family restaurants but can the customers be the ones making the noise. The service is generally good but please improve on such concerns🙏

My mother took me out for brunch. Rump steak very good. My mom is on a high fat/low carb diet, so she wanted veggies with her steak. She chose pumpkin and spinach. But she never got the spinach. There were lots of excuses about the spinach, but no spinach appeared. So it was a bit disappointing for my 78 year old mom. They did comp a round of drinks to make up for it.

Had a good value for money breakfast with my family. Service was great. Only criticism is smoking area is not well sealed & smoke comes into general area. For a non-smoker this is not pleasant at all.

I took my wife for her birthday to this Spur.The service we got was totally regrettably and made my wife regret her day forever.We got burnt Ribs as per picture. Service was poor.We had to go to the reception to ask for service.It took another 15 minutes for us to be attended and all we had waited for such a long time was burnt Ribs.The quantity was questionable.The service of the waiter has so much to be questioned and left a bundle to be desired.So disappointed.My wife said never again shall we go to this Spur.Hence we have been going to this Spur for years since is the closest for us.Please improve

Food is not worth the price you. Food portions and sizes are not consistent.Not sure if it the Spur group itself or the franchise. But Mork Spur will NOT be seeing us again. Chicken cheddermelt snitchzel was a total disappointment and Nachos 3/3 were dry.Shortage on cheese maybe???

We had good service for once at this Spur.

I stopped by today to order 2 waffles with ice cream as a takeaway, I was told the order would take up to 15 min, I said this was fine. About 20 min later, the lady that took my order came up to me to apologize for the delay, and to say that they were starting with my order shortly, she had another order to get out (an order that was called in), the thing is, the little girl that was waiting for the call in order was there before I even placed my order, so why was I told my order would only be 15 min...I was offered a milkshake for the inconvenience, I told the lady that I had my child and husband waiting in the car for me, and I needed to let them know what was going on, as I thought it would just take 15 min, she said she understood and would start with my order immediately...i went outside to let my husband know that there was a delay, it then started raining, I got a bit wet in the rain and went back in to wait, I told the lady that my daughter was restless, so I really couldnt wait there much longer, she said they had started with my order, they only served the called in order then, it then started storming very badly, my child was getting scared in the car, and I needed to get out of there before the weather got even worse, I eventually asked for a refund of my order and told them that I needed to leave immediately as the weather was really bad, the lady that served me initially came up to the counter with ice cream, bar one sauce and 1 waffle, she said that the 1 waffle was ready, the other one was being made now, I told her that I cannot wait, I need to leave, cancel my order, if she had told me that i would end up waiting so long in the first place, I never would have placed the order...she did refund me my order, and gave me the waffle, ice cream and sauce as a compensation for the wait, it was storming so badly at that time, I had to walk in a flooded area of water, I was completely drenched by the time I got to our car, we had extremely limited visibility on our drive back home (extremely scary), my child and husband got wet as a result of this unnecessary delay, I got completely soaked, as a result, I am now ill, and I told my child that she still has a waffle, however, the waffle was folded in half in the small box, when she was eating it, she said it was yucky...when I tasted it, I realized that it was not cooked properly, the waffle was very thick and the inside was doughy...so I waited for nothing, and if I had not asked for a refund, I would have paid for a very bad, doughy waffle...I will definitely NOT recommend this Spur to anyone...going there for a simple take out turned out to be an extremely nerve wrecking event, and as a result, I am now sick, and a simple craving has left a very bad taste in our mouth...if only the level of food was half as good as Glen Marais Spur! I find it hard to believe that they only have 1 single waffle maker...

Probably the best Spur in the the Kempton Park area, alot smaller than the Spur situated in Glen Marais, but as the saying goes its not the size that counts its how you operate it staff attention to customers are wonderful and know how to keep the customers happy and ensure that you have a good time

Waiters are busy with funny things, taking that is not theirs to take.. Scamming customers!Service poor, rather choose another place to spend money on food and service!

No one to greet and seat upon entry, dirty tables and ashtrays in the smoking area waited very long for a simple starter, waiter was good but i had to go to the cash desk to ask for my bill when i was done. Food was good though.Edit:18/01/2021 came by today after being called with an apology, recieved excellent service from Abraham and Butho, thank you for not giving up until i was happy, ill be back.

Not the best experience from a spur. Notice says opening at 8. There were staff inside and not one bothered to come to the door and tell us they only opening at 9. Bacon was so over done it was bitter. Tasted like charcoal. My grandkids did not even want to eat. As a spur regular that was one of the worst breakfasts ever.....

Steak was a bit tough... Service though is brilliant... Some customers had to be moved due to COVID-19 regulations but otherwise a pleasant encounter.

Slow service, high prices. Spur food is fantastic, but their prices not so much. Better Spur franchises in the area, but suitable and spacious enough if you arent too picky about it.

Was looking forward to a waffle nite with my family as we always do.Thought let me try again norkem park but to my surprise the worst again.Always buying at Goldrush emperors palace nice thin and sweet. Always worth your moneyAll wat l got today was a big not done waffle still tasting the dough and worst ever no syrup but was given bar one sauce which we dont like. We enjoy our waffles thin and with syrup sauce.Please for crying out loud change your pan use the thin one like the other spur branches even festival mall uses a thin base waffle maker. Waited a full hour for just two plain waffles. They spoiled my appetite early in the morning 😡😡

My eisbein was so deeply fried that it was virtually inedible, my sisters steak was cold and had to be sent back to be heated up and my mothers schnitzel was like cardboard. The waiter was so inattentive that he had to be called over to refill drinks for the fast drinkers, the slower drinkers were left without refills. The only other attention the waiter paid to us was when he sauntered quietly over and raised both of his thumbs in a gesture that was meant to ask if everything was fine - it wasnt!Following the playing of the birthday song we had to ask for the volume to be turned down as the sound was ear-splitting and went on for far too long.Never again for that Spur, maybe not for the entire franchise if that is the general standard.

First of all, all waiters & supervisor were Zimbabweans, the food was off!! I had a running tummy the moment I got home, no more, Id rather travel to Festival mall , Mall of Africa or Greenstone.

Second time at Brave Hawk Spur. Kitchen made the wrong order. Manager came to apologize. He was ons the floor the while time. Greeting guest helping them asking the seated guest of they were al good. Excellent service from him and the waiter Joel was also so kind and help ful. Just a coincidence that its the second time that I was there with my partner and the orders got delayed. Overall I think the service from the manager was excellent.

My family of 3 frequent Spur Norkem mall at least 3 to 4 times a month. I am not keen on writing reviews of places i visit, however tonights visit was Exceptional! And deserves a brag! I have accepted the average spur meal prior to this as it was sufficient to fill hunger pangs and overactive kids...however, after tonights experience, i expect nothing less on quality. Our waitress Lebo was efficient and friendly that i appointed her to be our waitress on all future visits. I had a garlic prawn steak medium done....WOW...perfect in every way. My husband had the Hawaiian chicken schnitzel...all i heard him say was damn this is good over and over until it was cleaned off his plate. The ribs we ordered for the kids was delicious. My son always eats the chips and leaves the meat behind...this time round was the opposite.It was definitely one of the best dinners we had at this spur.

Horrible service, when the waiter brought my wifes food he was dumb founded when I asked him for mine. Our grandsons food was the wrong order. The acting manager Jonas or James offered to waive the bill but I did not make a scene to get bad food for free, so I paid even though I never got my food...😠

It seems rare to find a Spur these days I enjoy, or who I can honestly say delivers service. BRAVE HAWK SPUR IS NOT ONE.From the time I entered the waiting staff was having an argument. I asked assitance from two waiters who flat out ignored me. An air of confusion reigns.I have yet to order food and I am very hesitant about what to expect.

My experiences here have always been good, barring 1, which the manager resolved adequately. Fun for kiddies, comfortable smoking area, parents can be seated by windows and close to the door of the outside play area. Im a regular customer

I took my nephew for his birthday today and we didnt even sit because there was no one at the reception to welcome us .we waited for about 10 mins and the staff just continued with what they were doing and gave us no attention. It was my first and my last time visiting the restaurant.

Great food. But play area attendants have been absent on a regular basis over the past year, posing a safety risk to children present. Once there were about 40 kids outside & found the play attendant watching tv inside restaurant. No seating outside over some weekends.

Kids love going to Spur looking forward to staff singing for them on their birthday, lack of enthusiasm and energy from staff when singing does really kill the excitement. Otherwise food is good
