I went there for my birthday lunch. Beautiful, sophisticated deco & ambience. You can host private small private functions as well in closed space. The food was well presented and well prepared. Attentive management and waiters. I received a complementary birthday dessert ...Im impressed and will be going back.

My birthday celebration is usually incomplete without a Pigalle experience and they never disappoint from customer service to their delicious meals.

Always a lovely experience. If you call ahead and arrange for a group then you can have some of your old favorites from the old menu such as the braised lamb shank and the Pavlova 🤗

Pigalle has a very posh, upmarket feel to it which is complemented by the age restriction, dress code and atmosphere. The dishes were yummy and fairly sized, although quite expensive. I estimate the average price is about R400 per person, but I think that it was a good experience nonetheless.

Pre birthday celebrations for my husband. Absolutely loved the food, it was cooked to perfection. All our meals were well prepared and presented and the service from Shepard was impeccable. Really enjoyed this restaurant.Small recommendation, serve the steak on a plate rather than a wooden board. The only reason I say this is that the juices from my steak ran off my board onto the table and caused a minor mess. Other than that, everything was was great.

The experience, food and ambiance was on point. Didnt like that they dont have a cocktails menu to allow transparency. Therefore what u billed could be thumb sucked and once a waitress was not tipped what she wants...the service goes down the drain too for the remainder of your stay.

A beautifullly renovated restaurant.. So glad it has reopened....with some great additions to the menu. The food and service, as always, amazing. There is just one recommendation please.... The Seafood Platter is delicious, but with winter and the cool air, it gets cold really quickly and makes the experience a little unpleasant. It is one of the higher priced items and therefore if it would be great to have it served on Keep warm server.... Hint like Adega...

I was so excited to see that Pigalle had reopened.It was my most favourite place for the fine dining, exquisite food and ambiance. Could not wait to go back..but to my shock.Burnt unevenly cooked food, tiny pretentious portions at a premuim, no basting sauce, no flavour, brugers on boards. Smoking section left open so you can suffocate of the smoke. Steak @450 thats 50% bone. Bad cuts of meat. awful esperience. basically a glorified pub. No longer a magnificent Gem. dont waste your time and money on bad food.The images dont match the new look ,was always so elegant, now it looks like every other place. cheers.

Atmosphere:- Relaxed and up-market.Staff:- Friendly and helpful with great attention to detail.Food & Beverages:- Wonderful in most regards with the only downfall being the mushroom risotto. However, everything else was amazing.Value for Money:- I would say so. Although it is on the more expensive side, it is worth the price.Notes:- None.

Upmarket restaurant in a secure environment. Great decor and room to sit in comfort and generously spaced for privacy. Wide menu selection including some good vegetarian options. Wine selection is good. Definitely a place for a special occasion. Service excellent but a bit slow. This maybe planned to reduce the pace of things. In-house toilets so no need to wonder around the centre. Professional atmosphere.

Our second visit and I was not disappointed. The service is impeccable. Friendly and efficient service. The food is exquisite. Fresh, tasty and well presented. I had their sole again and it was as good as the first visit, so they keep a consistent level. Really a beautiful place to enjoy an awesome meal.

Great food, good service

Always a treat to dine here. The ambiance is welcoming and homely. Can highly recommend the balsamic steak and mash. Most of the food is divine, except for on the odd occasion where the seafood items have been over cooked. Management is tops. Waiters are properly trained and know their job.

Your restaurant was highly recommended by a few friends and family for Valentine’s dinner.The Bedfordview in particular.However, I didn’t find my experience to live up to the expectation that was portrayed.I totally understand that is was valentine’s and you guys were busier than normal so I did understand and I didn’t mind the wait in between courses however, upon arrival we didn’t receive bread, as well as the pallet cleanser that was in the menu option we selected. This was a little bit disappointing.The starter was great and dessert was amazing but the prawn main was little over cooked and bland.

Good food, amazing service

Food was absolutely delicious. Those intermediate dishes between meals took us by surprise and it was such a great touch. They really take care of their customers. Waiters are absolutely amazing. Very friendly and always available and around. Overall its an excellent experience and a classy place at an affordable price. We took our visitor from the Netherlands and he was absolutely delighted at their service and the delicious food. Best place for seafood!!!

The food was delicious but I found the portion sizes too big - at least we had yummy leftovers for the next day. If youre expecting French youll be disappointed. This is something of a generic European menu. Even the muzak pays just a token gesture to France, but it is mercifully at a volume that still allows normal conversation.Most of the dishes served to our group seemed mid-range good, but the line fish was overcooked, under-seasoned and tasteless.Service was quite attentive, but who on earth was it that taught South African waiters that a diners plate should be removed even while the diner has a mouthful of food and cutlery in their hands??For the prices that Pigalle charges one should be entitled to expect a lot better.

Manager wasnt too friendly

Food is good, beautiful atmosphere...service is good. However it is very disappointing service and the food was not too good on Valentines Day. For a good restaurant to maintain its quality of service and food it should not try to just push for numbers on this special day. Some couples wait months for a good dinner esp on this occasion. So try and revisit your Valentines strategy and concentrate on your customers rather than profits. I know your service is great just try and maintain it also on Valentines Day.

Now I know why they are still around. Owner and staff absolutely professional. International level of service and the finest dining that will match or beat the best in the world.

Excellent food with excellent service. You pay a bit more buy you get a lot of complementaries to go with it. Lemon sorbet was awesome. I had the Portuguese Steak which was very good.

This is by far the best restaurant! The setting is well thought of, the tables are spread out nicely apart, regardless of how full the restaurant gets, the chatter of guests doesnt make the restaurant noisy. The waitrons are professional and easily available. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is delightful and very classy.

Best seafood in town

Its a nice sophisticated restaurant nice ambiance, except for for they burnt my Fish the first time. Then after I completed they were nice enough to make me another one. Thank you Pigalle.

Its too expensive for what you get.The foods good, but I can get food that taste just as good and better for less bucks.It does have a beautiful setting, nice music and atmosphere, but I wont be going there again.
