What a beautiful venue, such a wonderful setting and the staff were phenomenal. Truly a special day we as the guests wont forget and I am sure the bride and groom will cherish forever.The chapel is lovely and the indoor reception was spectacular. Food was very tasty. It was all round fantastic.

The venue looks amazing, we ate at the resturant overlooking the lake.The food was good however had a incident where by the milk shakes my son and myself order had insects in them, not sure how this happen at a 5 star place , but they resolved it without any fuss.Will definitely come here again.

Beautiful venue and friendly staff... however I do not agree with a five star rating....... a few couples including ourselves had literally quite a shock when touching shower taps... Wimpy has a standard breakfast bigger than the English breakfast and their service is much faster ... we waited an hour for breakfast and milk was not on the menu for coffee or tea.... reception is slow and non existant....

Absolutely love it here. First place my fiance and I looked at for our wedding and we instantly fell in love with it. Booked it the day we saw it and super excited to say we are typing the knot here. Beautiful setting with their gardens, lake and river, chapel and everything in between. Theres so much that can be used here that were struggling to think of what to use it all for on our special day.Staff and vendors related to the venue are also fantastic and have been very professional and warm.

Based on the fact that your reception has 0 interest in speaking to clients or even speaking into the phone properly tells me alot. Based on how the call was handled and the level of unprofessional phoje decorm i wont be visitng you

The venue is beautiful and peaceful and the service what you would expect for a five star. However the food was expensive and very average. Disappointing. I had lamb shank which could have been cooked longer and was a bit bland and I had to ask for mint sauce. My partner had the pork loin which was overcooked.

We went here for Restaurant Week and it was quite fascinating that you can do horse rides and picnics at the venue. Its really beautiful. Definitely going back for a picnic

Very beautiful views, we were picnicking right by the dams. The picnic baskets were brought out after a while and they were fully stocked and the food was really tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful, eager to please. The organisers took it upon themselves to put a tent up for us because the weather went sideways and it was very thoughtful. 10/10 would recommend, would definitely be here again. Nice out in nature with the sounds and smells, great break from crazy life and very peaceful.

Bijou Restaurant: Great views and friendly staff but the food (the main reason we visited + its for restaurant week) was disappointingly poor. The lamb was well done (we werent asked how wed like it) & the sauce was very salty. The kingklip was chewy & dry.If you just want to have some drinks (not cocktails though cos they dont serve those) in a beautiful setting, away from the city, this is it. For food, I dont recommend it.

Was so excited to spend a night at this beautiful place but had the worst service. We waited forever for our breakfast while other orders after ours came through. The coffee we ordered was spilt and cold when it eventually came. We ended up not having breakfast and leaving abruptly. Very disappointing stay.

Things ran smoothly even when the wedding party ran a bit late.And Melissa - she was brilliant. Id recommend her for any wedding. Helpful, insightful and ever present in whatever situation. She made managing the reception both enjoyable and fun. Fantastic. Id give 10 stars just for her!!

Really fantastic venue! The space is beautiful and there is plenty to explore. The Chapel is stunning and the various other halls are magnificent. The staff from Toadbury are extremely friendly and helpful. Id definitely recommend using this as your next venue!

Beautiful, peaceful venue. The staff were helpfuland extremely attentive without being overbearing. We enjoyed the picnic in the beautiful gardens - the food was fresh, well prepared and simply delicious although there was too much per person, which made me feel wasteful, so they could cut down on the portions or serve less variety.

This is an amazing place for a quiet afternoon lunch with family at the Otters deli (they serve the most delicious salads!!). Theres plenty of garden space for the kids to run around and play, plus they have nice views of the lake and peacocks roaming around...A nice venue outside of the hustle and bustle of surbabia!!

Perfect venue for weddings and picnics

We have just hosted my nieces10th birthday party. I planned this remotely from the Eastern Cape Mellisa was amazing and helped make the day special. The manager Patros and his team were ready to execute my vision and make the day a success. Special mention goes to Joseph our humble host, the company has an asset in this gentleman. His work ethic is worth 10000 mentions.

Beautiful place and beautiful wedding. The food was the best Ive had at a wedding venue. The only improvement could be a machine that can program music that can fade in out during a wedding. To cut the music off mid-song isnt the best way of doing things.
