Very vibrant place with excellent music, food is amazing and the staff are extremely nice. MH is very helpful and easy to talk to. Defiantly recommend to go here!

Ahhh, their cut potato fries, 😋 delicious. Fresh ingredients where used for my burger, which is something I liked. The aesthetics, a moment of wonder. Its really classy, mysterious, but at the same time fun and relaxing. The price range is slightly above similar restaurants. Let me not get started on their churros, scrumptious. Covid 19 measures were performed upon entrance, so that was pleasing to see. One noticeable item, one would need to take the stairs to use the bathroom. Although, the same stairs lead to another sitting area inside the restaurant which would come in useful for a small and intimate group of people.

If a relaxed atmosphere, a light meal and great drinks is what you are looking for them this is your place. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. There is definitely a great ambience about.

Amazing food and excellent service.

The La Parada tapas bar experience has previously been confined to Cape Town, but has now become well-established in Johannesburg, in Parkhursts 4th Street. Wonderfully eclectic decor echoes the varied tastes of Spain on the menu.

Not a great experience. Waited long for drinks and they werent busy (casual waiter) . Cocktails (Grey Goose and Margarita) were bland and not up to expectation. Tappas were tasty though.

Coming from someone who’s frequented Spain many times, don’t get bamboozled by this menu. VERY tough meats. Seems like much of this stuff has been frozen for a while. Chef and wait staff are great, but the food is disappointing at best. Not worth it. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to Embarc and enjoy true fine cuisine.

My husband and I had lunch at La Parada today, because we are familiar with the franchise. Lunch was good but we had some leftovers and we needed a takeaway box. Imagine our shock when 2 cockroaches came crawling out of the box. The situation was not dealt with in a satisfactory way - we were simply offered another lunch or takeaway box or some dessert. No thanks. We will not be eating there again. Ever. Is there a rating option for 0 stars and a red flag? We also paid full price for our meal and left a good tip because we were so shocked we didnt know how to handle this situation appropriately.

Nice place. Came for a sunny winter lunch. Flavorsome food and nice ambience. Rather on the expensive side though. Chicken pops were very oily, rib eye was enjoyed and the chicken burger was ok, but overpriced

Reading the other reviews, I can pick up a common issue with the service that the waiters provide. There seems to be an issue and we were unfortunately not spared. The service only improved after we complained and asked for a different waiter.Apart from the service, the food was really great. They had a special that allowed us to choose five different tapas for ZAR300. It was very well presented when it arrived and the food tasted well.Parkhurst is a lovely area in general, that attracks different types of crowds. La Parada seems to be attract a fairly young crowd. From teenagers to young adults.

Busy place with little staff to assist all the patrons. It was chaotic to say the least. Only 2 waiters for a full restaurant.Food was okay. They need to get more staff for busier days and weekends.

The food isnt worth the prices. I had the chicken pops, 3 small pieces for R120. Friends had the fillet and the burger which they said wasnt great either. We gave the feedback to the Manager who was very nice about it.

Very very over crowded on the night we decided to go. Too many youngsters, no social distancing and too much alcohol floating around with no control of the people, too many people walking around the restaurant as their were not enough chairs for everyone to sit on. Too few waiters so have to wait long for someone to attend to you.

Wonderful tapas. The toasties are my partners new favourite thing (a must try if you enjoy toasted cheese - dialled up to eleven). Upstairs is quiet enough to talk and downstairs is loudly to go through the motions of socializing.

The service was very inconsistent, and the water wasnt very engaging or interested. The menu is very varied with many items not really matching the Spanish theme. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, which was underwhelming in terms of flavours but the quality was good. The prices are quite steep in comparison to more high-end eating places. Not sure Id go back.

Staff completely overwhelmed, it looked like they only had 2 waiters on staff. Worse yet there was no observing of covid regulations. Just next to us was a big table of over 30 people who were not wearing masks when they came into the restaurant nor were they required to sanitise their hands. No social distancing and definitely more than 50 people which almost makes booking a table online a redundant process if anyone is allowed anyway. Food prices vs quality does not match. Tuna taco...tuna looked and tasted like it came from a can... severely disappointing considering the price. Waiter rarely checked on us and we often had to call her to get attention, at some point they forgot my order, no doubt because they had a large group of teenagers standing so close to one another at the bar...not a good experience to be honest. Really concerned for the sheer number of people allowed in there in the midst of a pandemic.

Hot Dayem!!! Those were thee best Chicken Burgers ever... The order was taken to specifications. I honestly requested from the Chef if I could do the dishes just so that I could get some free Chicken Burgers. 🥰♥️ The absolute best, what a gorgeous chill spot. Perfect for everyday, night and sundowners.

Saturday lunch. Food was off, lacked taste and freshness - honestly tasted like microwave quality food. Having been to the la Parada in CPT - Constantia neck - I’ve come to know what to expect, however 4th ave is a complete waist of time. Besides the food, the toilets are poorly maintained & dirty.

Had lunch there today. Ordered a tapas platter to share. The platter came with exactly 4 pieces of each tapa (menu says it should feed three people). Meat on the platter was dry and undersalted and definitely not worth the almost R600 price tag. Waiter was not great at all; seemed very uninterested and lacking knowledge of the restaurants offerings, to the point where we had to keep asking for basics, like butter for bread and soy sauce for the tuna poke bowl. The platter also didnt come with any sauces so I would definitely not recommend it (unless you enjoy dry steak). Other guests enjoyed their meals - chicken burger was good, and so were the poke bowls. I definitely dont think I personally will be returning again.
