After hearing only great things about Ginos my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. The pizzas were very well made, great amount of toppings with a delicious base, good value for money. Would love to try their pastas as well someday. Just one thing to remember before visiting, at the entry of the restaurant you are met with quite a number of stairs which might prove difficult for old and disabled people.

Fantastic value for money place. Selection of food was outstanding. Pizza some of the best around. Well done on delivering great food for so many years. R20 Castle Draught on the night we visited.

Pizza was very good but that is unfortunately where it ended. The mussel starter was bland and the mussels were old and grainy like they had been frozen for a very long time. The gnocchi was soft and stodgy. To make matters worse the watress packed the leftover bread in with the mussels in the take away so it soaked up all the sauce and made one big mess. So disappointed in a place that came so highly recommended.

I absolutely love this place. Pizzas are great, they are huge, I can never finish it and ends up as doggie bag for breakfast. Staff are amazing. It can get very busy sometimes so best to make a reservation

I have followed Ginos around their various locations for 30 years and with good reason. The BEST, authentic pasta you will ever taste. Highly recommend the ravioli. You will not be disappointed.

The pizza is spectacular. The restaurant has a rustic appearance. This place caters for both couples and families and is always buzzing.Pizza prices are very affordable at around R50 upward.You will NOT be DISAPPOINTED.

I was very disappointed with the service. However the food was stunning.We arrived and were almost turned away by the hostess due to it being busy, only for the owner to sweep in and organize a table for us while we waited at the bar. The owner is very accommodating and sweet.Once seated, our waitress (I asked her name and she didnt answer, Im not sure if she heard me? She was short, caucasian with long dark hair and brown eyes) proceeded to rush us to order, saying pizzas will take between 1 to 2 hours (they arrived in 35 minutes at the end of the day) and I ended up ordering something I didnt really want as I didnt have time to choose. Luckily it was still tasty.The waitress was exasperated and short with us the rest of the night, and was very condescending towards us. At the end of the night I asked her what was wrong when we were paying, and if we were irritating her, only for her to reply with Yes, but Ive had worse.I know it was a busy night and in turn stressful for her, but I dont appreciate the way she operated. It really threw a wet blanket on the evening.

Best pizza and pasta in town good service and friendly staff

I would love to give 5 stars however I have not eaten enough food, mainly pizza. The food I have had was good, chicken livers and a mussel dish. This place is always full and reservations are a must so call. Never disappointed with anything. Service is great. Make your way down to Ginos, you wont regret it. *nb* forgive me for lack of avo on the pizza, too good too nice had to eat some off.

This is a well know restaurant so expect it to be busy. At times you may have to wait for place to open before getting a place. I suggest you place a reservation and now with covid reservations are to be made before hand. Food in general is great,I highly recommend the calzone though. Hope this helps. Thanks

Rustic, good value Italian, but mainly pizza place that has managed to maintain the quality we experienced in the 80s.

Their pizzas are amazing! I definitely recommend This place.

Ok so be prepared to wait .but its worth it and they have a well stocked bar where you can run a tab whilst waiting but the food ...so worth it . Delicious be careful not to go overboard when you order ( like me I couldnt decide what to eat first ) otherwise you be taking lots of food home for snacking later ...actually thats not a bad thing . Really good food and very very inexpensive , try it ,you wont have any regrets and youll be back 😉

Any Pizza and Pasta lover should have Ginos on top of their priority list! classy joint, staff always smiling and theres always a good buzz about the place. Highly reccomend the Bisticatto in a pizza its top notch and the food is always rich and full of flavour

Our all- time favourite pizza place since we were kids! We travel all the way from Boksburg (35km one- way) to get our fix. Recently they forgot to make our phoned- in order for collection and to apologize, they refused to accept payment for the order! This is an example of why they have such a great reputation for their food and their service. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Just before Chrsitmas 2020 we, as a family, went to Ginos for dinner only to find that no contact details were taken, the restaurant was 100% full/capacity and no regular sanitising. Service was shocking as a result of so many patrons (Full house) and we waited for more than 1H:30m; close to 2 hours, for our food.
