Kashifs has always been delivering consistent quality food for the past 10 years that I have been eating there. They also have daily affordable specials. I have just purchased recently Chicken Masala with Rice and Naan. Pictures attached. Absolutely Divine! Their prawn dishes are also really good. Thanks to Kashif, Ebrahim and team for always going the extra mile for your customers.

Very good food but the high tips of waiters is a turn off. Tip should be the customers choice rather than something which we are forced to pay.

The sauces overpowers the food, they put too much it covers the protein object. Waiters need to be trained in asking the customers about their choices. Meat is tough and all the steaks offered are the same. More like malletted minute steak. Food took very long yet the restaurant was empty.First and last time thank you.Everything

The staff was very friendly, but we felt that the food was overpriced for the quality and taste. We were happy that the food came quickly (service was good) and that the portion sizes were generous.

Absolutely love Kashifs . Had this amazing prawn platter today...40 med prawns with rice and chips...part of a special. IT was amazzing. Normally we love the Malaysian prawns. Starter....Mexican livers with naan is divine. And their stuffed calamari is delicious. ..Kashif always welcomes clients with a great big smile and even suggests certain spices / sauces on the seafood etc. Veg platter is yum . So is peshawary gausht. Today I tried the naartjie lime cordial...with lemonade. Very refreshing indeed.Although the atmosphere in Fordsburg sometimes puts one off....Kashifs food is a drawcard. Always fresh and tasty. Comfort food .The 10% is annoying if you not getting great service from the waiters ...who prefer chatting to each other sometimes...but overall...love the food. Always go back. .

Food is good. Authentic and fusion dishes are well prepared. Place needs a revamp though. A simple comparison with the opposition in the area, is an indication on how to improve. Deco, menus, cutlery, seating and the overall experience dont match the prices on the menu. Being served a seafood platter on a steel dish is unappealing when paying above average on the meal.

Good food. Nice location and ambience. Owner is a good guy also checking on guest and food. Most of the time he is cooking and in the kitchen to keep that unique taste and flavor. A must if you in jhb. Malaysian prawns is the signature dish add the butter Nan to it and it makes and awesome meal.

Hands-on service by the owner/chef was excellent. The food was good. My family and I chose the least hot level for our dish but it was still much hotter than expected, perhaps the waiter got it wrong. The Malaysian prawns was still tasty though. The prawns itself were cooked perfectly. The lamb chops was not as good as expected. The store was completely empty throughout out seating. Prices were fair. I think perhaps my expectations were a bit high because of everyones recommendations.

They claim to have certain dishes on specials. But actually the portion are kids size and its half of normal size dish. Which actually means its no special. You pay for the portion of the normal dish. Prices are way to high. The business need restructuring. Food is good and owner friendly and seems his trying

I love there food it has perfect spice and the most amazing service i love there prawns and seafood noodles and for dessert do try the tiramisu its totally divine you might have to wait a little while sometimes but its definitely worth it 😁😊👍

The restaurant is laid back and unpretentious. The food is amazing! Managers and staff on duty were attentive to our tables needs. The bathroom is very neat and clean but a bit small.Overall I would definitely recommend Kashifs - its not a formal sit down but its definitely a culinary experience you do not want to miss out on.

Speechless once again the food was outstanding the spices and meranades the owner was hands on he took the time to approach our table went through what we ordered and made a suggestions which paid off we were blown away with the various diffferent taste experienced this was actually the very first time that my entire family finished their entire meals without asking for doggy bags we just couldnt stop eating. We will definitely be visiting again.

There arent many asian restaurants that are authentic and halaal. Kashifs has good quality food and authentic recipes

Dont even waste your time. We usually go to Bayleaf across the road where the food is amazing and quick, but we decided to try Kashiefs for a change. Worst mistake ever... After 1 hour of waiting for a quarter chicken & prawns we were fed up and left. Not like they were even busy.. Only 1 table had Patons & they were done 20 mins after our arrival. Who takes 1 hour to cook a quarter chicken? .. What a joke. Will never go back here

Situated in Fordsburg. We arrived early without a booking and managed to get a table. The service was prompt and effecient. Tried a variety of dishes. All freshly prepared and tasty. Meals are reasonably priced. Although seafood is the speciality meat and vegetarian dishes are equally well prepared

The manager at this concern is very rude and agressive. I complained about the chips portion to the manager and he was extremely abrupt not only to me but also to the the other staff members who were apologetic for his behaviour. I certainly will NOT be eating here again!

There are more waiters than customers. They dont understand the menu, so they cant advice you. They often get your order wrong. Fish is no longer fresh, and of a very poor quality. 10% gratuity is added to your bill, and customers are not informed of this. So you end up double tripping.. This I think is unethical

Very disappointing. Food seemed to have been a couple days old. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Both types werent well prepared at all. The chicken livers were undercooked. The only thing that was ok were the prawns. But that too was nothing to rave about. I never complain, but this was bad.

Love the food. Have been a few times- food is even better if Kashif prepares it himself- Ive even asked for this and they obliged- just had to wait a little longer.

Food is good but a bit over priced, the restaurant itself is really outdated and feels dirty. I personally think it needs a renovation. The seats and menus look like they havent been cleaned in a while and a little tattered due to age. If all of that is fixed then everything will come together Alot better
