Owners and waiters are very attentive and helpful. It’s a very popular spot and you can book it for small functions/celebrations. Food was good. Overall ambience was also good.

1st thing first,make reservations before you go,because if you are a walk-in you will never be prioritized and you might have to settle for anything.Weekends are actually busy,We were surrounded by a lot of birthday celebrations 🥳and this meant in between our conversations we had to pause for each table to sing its celebratory songs.The food was mouth-watering I must say😋The venue was clean.And the Modderfontein dam view from the restaurant is really amazing.

I booked for my best friends birthday on Saturday. The booking managementwas professional. When we got there , our table was ready.The service was friendly, personal and so professional. The food to die for .....The ambiance is so serene, looking over the dam and park. We loooved everything about the restaurant. Keep it up guys!

My first visit was on a quiet weekday night. The atmosphere was lovely, coupled with stunning views of the lake. The food was fresh and tasty and the staff attentive and friendly. Very friendly and humble staff, what they promise you when you enter their door fir the first time, its exactly what you get, even more than your expectations. Very cozy upmarket and styling place for wine and dinning. Situated at the top of the mall with a relaxing view from the dam and park side. We were offered a very special and a surprise dessert without ordering it, just after revealing that we were celebrating our anniversary. I will visit this place anytime there after you can have a stroll by the park.

The vibe is great and they play nice music and It is aesthetically pleasing However I would recommend you avoid going on weekends because of the noise levels. We could barely hear each other speak. The menu was extremely underwhelming and lacked variety, we were very disappointed at the options we had to choose from.Overall it’s an okay place for drinks with friends.

I wasnt happy with the service at all. We had made reservations for 2pm and were promised a good table with views of the lake and park. We ran a bit late by 30 minutes and I called to notify the restaurant, however upon arrival we found that the table we were promised was given to someone else and we were then made to sit right at the back in some corner. We waited long for our food and drinks because our table was right at the back easy to forget and look over. Its a beautiful restaurant but the level of service needs to be improved in line with the aesthetics of the restaurant.

Someone on here said the lamb shank was cooked to the T, yes T for Trash. That time there are images of lamb shank all over the menu and its not even in the menu (you have to ask). They put packet sauce on dead meat. Everyone there just looks so clueless. Advice: Ditch the extensive low quality menu and become a night club or serve simple tapas.

Looked for something different to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding anniversary. I remembered the new Flamingo Shopping Centre in modderfontein with an array of restaurants. What better place to celebrate than a place called Gratitude Celebration. Gratitude is a place you go to for appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself and represents a general state of thankfulnes They couldnt have said it any better. They made my parents celebration lunch something to remember and I wish the entire team all the success going forward.It opened end of 2018, so still settling and is situated on the upper level with a lovely view of the bird sanctuary. Love the decor and colour scheme, very modern and classy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, as we had to keep opening and closing the sliding doors as the storm came and went, but enjoyed the fresh air.The menu is limited especially for the fussy eaters as its not your usual take on food, its more for the adventurous palate, so i loved it. For starters we ordered a variety of things.1) Tempura Prawn taco, with Asian slaw and tango Mayo. Loved this very tasty and full of flavour.2) Slow cooked Pork Belly, with Fennel Puree, fresh Tomato and Fennel. Really good, would have liked it more if it was a bit more crisp on the top.3) Peri Peri Chicken Livers, they didnt have Pita so they gave Sweet Potato Fries4) Crispy and Spicy Chicken Lollipops, with a Mustard Mayo. I could have eaten a whole plate of these.5) Chicken skewers with a middle eastern spice mix and dipping sauce. Tender Chicken and juicy.For drinks, i had to have my Cosmopolitan which was perfectly made. My mom had the Strawberry Daquiri, and I cant remember what my sister had.For Mains we had1) Salmon tempura California Rolls2) Twice Cooked Baby chicken, poached in an Asian stock, and then grilled with their Signature Chilli sauce, sprinkled with Lime salt. The Veggies were absolutely divine. Loved how they made it. My chicken was good, but slightly dry and would have loved it if the skin was Crispy, would have brought out the flavour with that salt.3) Asian Style fish and Chips, Hake infused with Asian flavours fried in Tempura batter. Served with wasabi Tartare and sweet Potato Fries.4) 500g Rib eye with braised leeks and mushroom, served with Asian bearnaise. This was just slightly overcooked and dry, as we ordered it medium.We were too stuffed to order dessert, so we were ready for the bill. While waiting they surprised my parents with a stunning gesture as they had discovered we were celebrating something, Thando came with a dessert decorated with a Happy 50th Anniversary. It was the Strawberry and Rose Mess. Quite tasty.A BIG thanks to the Owner, and all the staff (especially Tevani and Thando) for fantastic service, and kudos to the Chef. Beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon warm and inviting atmosphere with smooth jazz playing live in the background, food quality is superb highly recommend anyone to this wonderful place.

The food was above average but over priced and the wait service and kitchen where very slow. We were a big table but the restaurant was empty and food took over an hour and arrived in dribbs and drabs. Waiters did not attend to a big party as they should and lost out on a lot of additional drinks orders.

The establishment is very accommodating when patrons have special requests or when they want to host small events there. This is an deal birthday venue / music album launch restaurant. Food is tasty and the service is outstanding.

Fantastic atmosphere! Good music and good service, my friend and I had the Tempura Prawn Taco which was absolutely delicious.However I would beware of their side fried chips as they are not potato chips, but sweet potato chips.I would have loved it if they have more variety with their platters.All in all Gratitude has is a lot of potential and I feel that it can become a super fine dining restaurant.All the best to the staff and the owner! 😉

The location is beautiful, the food is okay and the service is the best. The only thing I didnt like is the restroom, it is untidy. There are rolls of toilet paper on the counter instead of being neatly put in a basket on the floor or a toilet paper holder, the paper towels are also on the counter

Lovely eat out restaurant with a nice view. The food was great however I was disappointed that they didn’t serve any veggies or side salads with their meals and their menu is limited. The baby chicken, which came as half chicken was really spicy and delicious. The Teriyaki Salmon was also really nice.

Great food, like their mutton. Chops, but the port belly with cabbage, too sweet for me.

I would have given it 5 stars had our waiter not made us wait for almost an hour for our starter and then subsequently substituted my main meal side with something I didnt order 😔.Other than that the place is beautiful the view is amazing and the cool breeze makes the meal more enjoyable. Ordered the chicken lollipops a starter and they were juicy and very yummy as was the hake and calamari meal. Overall the place is lovely and would definitely return again.

Poor service! Online booking made as per request, received confirmation via email. Arrive and no booking, venue fully booked with no apology and asked to wait for a table. No point in making a reservation.

Could do with a wider variety on the menu. There is only 1 vegetarian main dish. Our waiter was also very clumsy and kept dropping the sauce bottles on the table. The overall decor and restaurant interior is appealing and modern.

We made a booking for 15:00 and called an hour prior moving it to 16:00 however when we arrived our table had been given to other people.The vibe is great and they play nice music. However the menu was extremely underwhelming, we were very disappointed at the options to choose from.We had the chicken livers , ribs and chicken and pesto flat bread and it was lovely.The waiters kept on rearranging tables in the area we were seated at and it was extremely distracting and annoying. It dampened the entire experience.Overall I’d give the place 3/5 for the experience.

The restuarant is so beautiful the service and music was also good but that food ! Wow what a waste of money the steak I had was so tough I could barely get through it, the chicken my friend had was so dry and drenched in some gravy we couldnt understand ,Im genuinely so dissapointed I was so keen on trying out the food here .otherwise Id reccomend you avoid going on weekends because its so loud while we were there there was about 5 different parties being hosted I left with a headache lol.

I had a great experience at Gratitute restaurant. I never knew a place like existed just not too far from where i live. The service was out of this world, the guy Scotch realy made us feel like Qeueens and Kings. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone i know...infact i already have🤭

Absolutely disappointed. I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. We had a late lunch for 10 people. The restaurant was empty. It took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks. I had to go and fetch my own ice. The food was ok, but not great, but 8 people were finished eating before the last 2 even got their food. When we spoke to the waiter he just shrugged and very dismissively said sorry.The whole experience was terrible and none of us will ever go back there again.There was no manager for us to speak to

Best restaurant in Gauteng!!! The owner and staff best service ever. Such humble souls, putting people first. I really love the place, good hygiene too. I had a fantastic day on the 11 Oct. Celebrating a 40th birthday!! We even had a live guitarist playing some good music for the guest. If you have any functions or celebration GRATITUDE is for you. The view is also eye catching.
