A very nice restaurant situated in a quiet location. Perfect for friends or friends to be to meet.The menu contains a wide variety of dishes, all reasonably priced. The mild variety of dishes will still give you a good idea of Indian cuisine and your tongue may find it a little more spicy than you may be used to, but very fragrant.I was there during loadshedding and the lights on the table were not quite adequate to read the menu easily or see the food later for eating, but the service was friendly and quick.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at A taste of Punjab Parkview. We both ordered the lamb bunny chow and when it arrived looked like a gravy bunny chow. This consisted of exactly 4 small cubes of meat and a quarter potato. We called the manager over and asked the reason for the lack of ingredients and he just said thats the way it is.The flavour was delicious but the service and value for money are seriously lacking. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant.

Delicious meal. Well served and good atmosphere. We both had the.mixed dish from the starter menu and we shared a mushroom dish. For a light lunch it was delightful

Great food! The inside of the restaurant is a little stuffy but the out is good. Service is alright but the food is great.

We held our engagement party here and got everything we expected and more. The food was authentic and tasty. They cater for tastes from mild to extra hot. The service is great and the energy is cool. Its normally not packed so you can hold great dinner parties here. They also cater for parties held elsewhere and can have a takeaway done on under 20 minutes. All in all, absolutely a great place. Ask for Alex to serve you, he has been our favourite waiter for the last 9 years.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Joburg (so far)! A good size menu, very quick and friendly service, great food and I love that you can choose how spicy you want it. Esp that they can do not spicy at all, for me!

Excellent food! Yesterday we had the chicken korma and vindaloo and both dishes met our expectations. Generous portion sizes and plenty of extras. We have been numerous times but most recently, we noticed that the prices for drinks have been increased, which ordinarily is fine, but paying R27.95 for a 330ml can of Coca-Cola is insulting, considering that there is a baseline price at all restaurants on items of that nature. It feels like a complete rip-off and as such, we will not be back.

The food was average. I had Paneer Tika masala and rice as well as the Paneer Lunch Box. I suggest the Lunchbox, its more value for money. The naan on the other hand was amazing. I picked the cheese and garlic the portion was amazing. In terms of the set up, its seems like a fancy place to go in the evening instead of the day. The waiter wasnt very clued up on the menus and what things meant. I rated 3 for her just making it by.

I am no expert on Indian food, but the Butter Chicken here, is AMAZING! Their Bunny Chow is also amazing. and they also have amazing alcohol prices, lol.... Love it here!

Absolutely disgusted orderder tikka chicken and got 4 small nugget sized pieces of chicken for R70!. Nothing else Nothing. Disgraceful. When I called manager he said thats how it is. WTF. No quality appreciate at all! Deserves no stars!!

Yummmmmmmm!!!! As an almost entitely vegetarian meal, this was SO GOOD!!! Place was not busy at all which makes you expect the food to be less good than usual, but they outdid themselves with the flavours! 😍😍😍

This was one of our favourite restaurants until our takeaways of this evening. The Punjabi lamb was stringy and the meat was tasteless. The lamb saag was absolutely disappointing. We will think twice before using Taste of Punjab again.

Best Indian around, great for vegetarians. Try the samosas!

Where do I start...I ordered a lamb bunny but I got tough pieces of meat, hardly any gravy, hardest potatoes I have ever had in my life. Tasteless and bland. Definitely not worth the money I paid.

Taste of Punjab Parkview is a great Indian restaurant near the Zoo Lake area. It has all the features of the chain Taste of Punjab is known for - authentic Indian cuisine, Punjabi flavours and great outdoor sitting arrangements. I really loved the vegetarian options from Dale Makhni to Paneer Tikka Masala. Naan is also soft and crisp along with amazing pickle. Would love to visit this place for more snacks. Pakodas and Veg Manchurian is really nice. Thanks

Highly disappointed with the South Indian cuisine. Too small sized idli and vada, idli was hard in texture, coconut chutney was bland with no seasoning ;sambhar was OK, too pricey for the portion and quality. Highly recommended for North Indian cuisine.

Worst experience! Staff stole iPhone, refused to admit it. Left it on the table when we walked back to collect she switched the phone off. She was the only one there by the corner table. Literally took 2mins. Management said nothing, didnt apologise or offer to assist. Do not support thieves! Rather visit Spiceburg on in Greenside or Banjaara. Honest staff, honest business.
