Situated inside the Ferndale shopping center this lovely Bombay style (well at least that’s how it feels inside for me )curry palace just has the creamiest most freshest menu ever, ever single meal is fresh and tasty. The waiters the management everyone is just so amazing. The pricing of the wines and food is really really great value for money. It does get very packed consistently and over the years just shows the quality of the food.The space is always clean, take away or eat it you just can’t go wrong with this curry paradise.

Very disappointed with our order last night. Ordered 3 mutton bunny chows through Mr D. No flavour or spice and very bland. Hardly any meat, just gravy and a few pieces of potato. Unfortunately all 3 of us woke up with upset stomachs the following day. Will not be ordering from this place again.

Second time Ive ordered from them. Food is decent however they completely lost control of their kitchen. Waited for over an hour for food. Another patron lost their cool and took it out on the cashier, manager just stood by and let the issue escalate. Will not be my first choice next time I want a curry.

Still my favourite curry restaurant and takeaway. Theyre not super close to me, but well worth the drive. And at this time they need all the support we can give them.

This place is amazing! I love the food, how people are not queuing around the block to get in here I dont know.Family favourites are Chicken Makhani and Lamb Korma and Butter Naan Bread!

Wonderful Indian food.

Food is not bad. So far I have tried the Korma chicken and Butter chicken. Got some naan bread too. I guess it is ok for the price,as its a lot cheaper than other Indian restaurants. I am giving 4 start because I find that there was very little meat and too much sauce. I do like the sauce,but also a bit more meat will be good. Otherwise,very tasty. Service is very good and people very polite.

Tried the Chicken Makhnie, Chicken Curry and a Garlic Naan last night. Ordered them hot and they were indeed hot. Would not recommend the hot, if Nandos hot is your limit, this is slightly hotter and would suggest the medium rather.The currys though had exceptional flavour and would definitely be back for the chicken makhnie (butter chicken). The garlic naan bread was the highlight - fluffy on the top and delicately toasted at the bottom with a decent spread of garlic. Will surely be back for that.My only negative was the Burfee Ice Cream that we tried for dessert... this was Vanilla Ice Cream with coconut sprinkled over top and definitely no burfee flavour whatsoever.

Worst Bunny Chow orderThe mess, the taste, packaging was not great. Messhed pieces of meat on each bunny chow as i ordered 2. Food wasnt great at all. I could not find a proper piece of meat in there.... Disappointed a lot!!!

We had lunch at your restaurant last week. Service was good .Food not to great ,wife had fish breyani,she said the fish tasted like it was boiled then put in the rice with chilli, I had the beef vindaloo, to be honest wasnt great either .

Nice place, and had probably one of the best butter chicken mild curries ever. There was more than enough in the helping that i got to have a take away. Maybe also because i could not stop dipping the nan bread into the sauce.

This restaurant is North of Joburgs best kept secret. The food is literally best of the spiciest. It is authentic sub-continental and really tasty. I enjoy the fact that I can bring my own wine. The vibe is sincere and Asian - lively with apt music and decor. The staff are real and always happy to see us. The consistently great service and fare are remarkable.

I have a takeaway butter chicken and chicken samoosas every week and Im never disappointed! For those who enjoy some alcohol, there is a Spar bottle store next door and they will happily serve what you bring inside; but that closes at 7pm usually.

I thought the food was excellent. Prices were good and the service I found very good. Your waiter is aware of you at all times without being in your face. The naan bread was the best Ive had. Good choice for a good and intimate dinner.

Im hardly ever disappointed with this place. Its cosy and inviting, the staff are always friendly, and importantly the food has always tasted good to me. Their portion sizes are worth the price tag, and they dont charge corkage, for those that want to drink alcohol there.

I found this place by its reviews and it lives up. Great curry in Joburg and my go to spot for a little spice in my meal.*Update, its been a while and finally returned here this week and ordered a few items, I was shocked to receive an item that was off. When I opened the bag the scent was noticeable and surprised that they would provide a paying customer a dish that was off. Even if the chef tried to pass it off the folks at the front shouldve noticed odd scent. Quality control appears to be slipping so be alert if you go.

Excellent meal and very friendly service. Not having a license makes the Curry Palace very good value for money because bringing your own bottle of wine or two helps keep the bill down.I will definitely be returning.

Bought chicken curry last night for a freind from Durban. Awfully disappointed. Not sure if we were served from the old batch. Chicken looked like pulled chicken from over-cooking. The curry base was bland.We woke up to diarrhea!I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE!

Mild food is watered down medium. My mild bunny chow basically tasted like water. The medium paneer lacked any flavour as well. Service was friendly though. This was my second visit and I was equally unimpressed the first time. Not recommended.

Ok curry house, was a little disappointed with the chicken Korma I had. Had bones in the chicken, did say boneless on the menu. Portions were a decent size, some guest were unable to finish so we took it home. Food was hit on arrival though.
