I really enjoyed being there. The food oh Im longing for the food people you must visit cant explain their hospitality to die for at the Continental. This place is for families,couples,Tour groups. The children has got also a space.I intend visiting there soon again.

Very convenient and nice spacious secure parking. Rooms very clean and spacious with lovely bathrooms. Service was great and restaurant delivers to your door with delicious food. Close to shops as well.

I wanted to meet Imran Kassim Receptionist told me I must wait because he is in the meeting I waited for about 20 or 30 minutes suddenly she said to me that Imran Kassim left for airport so I asked her did she informed him she said she is not allowed.I wonder how this place is runs.

I write this as I sit in my roomRooms are clean however furniture getting run down with poor repair work .Bathroom plumbing noisy and poor tiling. dstv has always been an issue here .Dstv is not working now . Only recordings of adverts. When i enquired from receptionist named Blessing ,he over 3 occasions said he was rebooting it . Then on 4th occasion he said that there was an error . DUH.No night manager and none available so indication that nothing is really managed.Would recommend it just for a sleep over if tired but not as a 4 star venue .Hope things change as this place is getting run down.

I was advised that Palm Continental held nice functions , so Last year I paid 50% deposit for the restaurant for this month, I went on Saturday to pay the balance and to finalize the settings, but on my arrival the restaurant manager told me that they already booked another function but they can squeeze us in the corner. Their tables seats 12 and they going to give me two 12 seating tables for 45 people. I called Altaff , the manager from Continental Hotel who arranged everything for me and he kept telling us he is in a meeting at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. He refused to assist further and we sent him a message and told him to cancel. Since this morning the director of Palm Continental refuses to take my call.

Lovely rooms with clean bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was delicious at Lal Qila Restaurant. Rooms were warm with well insulated rooms and AC. Value for Money

Showers are terrible in design if u want to give kids a bath u will get soaked in the process.it just not logical. the rooms were not up to date in terms of cleanliness they just did the basic on top of cleaning. staff were helpful and nice and apologetic on the poor circumstances but ultimately I was not happy with the stay because of these issues this is twice in 6months I went in oct did the same thing went this pass weekend and it was the same

The hotel together with the venue is incredible! All members of staff at the hotel are friendly and very supportive. They take care of every fine detail and make sure your needs are catered for - first class service is an understatement. A big shout out to Altaf Sheikh (general manager) he is accommodating and a very pleasant person to communicate with. He made sure all my wedding events were just as I had imagined them to be. When I first stayed over (about a year ago) I really enjoyed my stay. Room was clean and everything worked. Unfortunately as of late rooms are not cleaned properly, bedding was not changed, pillows were dirty and bathroom leaked like crazy!! Aircon does not work properly. I really cannot say I will be back. Sona and spa are only available occasionally and breakfast is horrible. Really not worth the extra for breakfast.Only thing that I can say is up to standard are the friendly reception staff. Thanks guys

Very poor service. Had booked a room almost 3 hours before arrival, on arrival room a mess. Still got a room that was not serviced. Person assisting earlier, who we requested to change the room had knocked off when we came back and still the room was not serviced. Never again !!!

Very central an close to all shopping areas..very basic room...I took a family room but it was really small..the breakfast was good as it was at lal qila on the property.Aircon was not working properly. Tv had very limited channels an not clear.for a family room pillows an towels are limited..but if u need to just spend the night this hotel is good as is in close proximity to all places.the gym an pool are was good.parking...security etc was good.good playing area for the kids.

We used the smaller venue on the 4th floor for our function. It was a rather hot evening and the aircons were not switched on/not working. A serious health risk.Also on Fri afternoon we arrived at the venue and asked the porter to assist in unpacking the boxes of glasswear from the car (we were 2 females alone) he refused saying that the manager does f allow it. Rather disappointing service.On a positive note... The food is always excellent

Very rude and unprofessional service. The pool lighting is poor. The rooms are ok however the showers are very bad. The restuarant is average if you are from Durban and appreciate awesome food.

Great location to spend some time from the busy Johannesburg lifestyle. My favorite is the spa, treatment on the regular is a necessity and the salon is a regular guys safe haven. Thanks to the team for the incredible hair styling.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Rooms are Clean and cozy. Staffis very friendly and helpful. The only issue was there was no iron provided and the carpets need serious dry cleaning. Restaurant food were okay. They should include more vegetarian options.

Amazing hotel. Clean and plenty of chill space. 2 huge pools, prayer facilities as well. The restaurant has an amazing buffet. Theres also a nice event hall outside the hotel and greatly placed so as not to disturb the guests.

The floor was dirty with litter. Because it caters to Muslim guests means there is no alcohol in the hotel or the restaurant. Jacuzzis are separated into men and women. The staff were generally friendly though. The room was clean and well appointed. Some good, some bad is the best description.

A little attention to detail needed in the area of showers and San ware and room service..... Issue of request for extra milk went unheard..... Rooms were good but shower was not up to scratch.... Restaurant was top notch. I would recommend Lal Qila anytime.... Good food and service

The hotel is situated in a busy town, accommodates pre wedding and wedding ceremonies on the grounds (fully catered)However, the security level needs to increase (anybody can enter, the guards just open & close as vehicles arrive) The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly and have a stuffy smell. Customer service/ reservations are not up to standard, one pays approximately R1200.00 per stay, and when you call / request items for the rooms, they take up to an hour to deliver (an extension, multi-plug, bar stool etc.)Can be a lot better, but serves the purpose I guess :)

Paid for breakfast, its now 8:17am there is no sign of the receptionist, the managing director isnt answering.. All the numbers on the internet and their website just ring.People are smoking in the passage and nobody cares. Its like an abandoned place! Sucks!! Please dont even consider it!

I do recommend this hotel.The place is clean, people friendly and vey helpful.Room are big enough and customers sleep Well.The breakfast is not included but very good.

After an unimpressive start to the stay, with booking mixups on arrival day, the place and people have grown on us.Enjoying the relaxed vibe, Indian cuisine, gym and eager staff.Cherry on top is that theyre upgrading us to a deluxe room to make up for the initial stress.All in all... Nice family getaway!

General stay was good. Staff were very helpful and assisted to even chg our rooms.If u booking avoid staying on Ground floor due to noise factor.3rd floor has gym very quiet

Given two towels for a family room when asked for towels we were told the hotel is busy and they have no extra towels and that we can only get towels at 4pm. 🤔. This is unacceptable very very very disappointed!

Extremely poor and disappointing booked a stay due to the pool,jacuzzi and sauna facility yet it seems nothing works.Got no help from the staff only got excuses and kept saying we will sort it out.Dont expect anything more than the basic bed and breakfast.For the price you pay it is not worth it.

Restaurants service is pathetic. On two separate nights I was refused room service a full 25 minutes before the restaurant closes. This apparently due to the Chefs having left early. Unacceptable! If a hotel has a restaurant advised as open to a specific time it should be open to that time. Myself and other guests had to leave the premises to purchase food elsewhere.

I went there for a baby shower. I would not have their breakfast again, its limited and really not so tasty. However, the staff was attentive. And the overall ambience is good.

Worst place ever to go for waxing! very poor facilities. NOT hygienic at all. The lady who is in charge of the waxing department is very unfriendly and extremely rough. And to top it all, she ruined the shape of my brows TWICE!. Utterly disappointed.

Customer service is very bad, not helpful at all. The rooms, aircons, kettle were not in good condition. Was greeted by a mouse in the room we stayed in. LA Qila breakfast was nothing to brag about, the waiters are all in the bad mood and go like you doing them a favour.

Needs major revamping. Worn out rooms. Room had water leaking from a shower above our room. Door frames made of wood all worn out. With hotel booked at full capacity staff experienced a shortage of towels. Cleaning not up to standard. Linen not changed daily. Great location for ppl needing to shop in centre but needs some major renovating.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The staff members have really poor communication skills. Firstly, I booked this hotel purely because i was told i could check out late. I checked a few times as well by email and in person that I could check out at 1pm, I was told yes. Then at 11am at check out date i get told I need to check out. You need to communicate this earlier, not in the last minute. Even if you told me day before that you could not gurantee a late check out, i could have booked another hotel and gone there. They were really rude and unapologetic. I had to pack my bags hurriedly etc at the last minute all due to your poor communication.

Beautiful Hall and great facilities but their in house sound is pathetic and unmanaged hence the 3 star racing. For a venue like this I would expect decent sound for the size of the hall. I hope Palm Continental considers investing in better sounds.

Buffet breakfast with lots of empty serving dishes and long waits for refills. Refilled at a quarter of the capacity it should be. Eggs were good. Paratha when available also tasty. No discount on price though!!

Comfortable enough hotel but the check in and service is dismal. After waiting half an hour was sent to unmade room then another room where the key would not work. Gave up on waiting for staff to open the room safe as I had to be elsewhere.
