Seems comfortable but is not. The walls wear peeling off/most. The pool was empty. The room was extremely cold with a useless wall heater. The owners were not wearing masks during face to face interaction during this pandemic at the reception while I was paying for a room. Ended up paying a little over R600 and regretted it from the very moment. If you know your moneys worth, dont go to this guest house. Its not worth it. It is cold and unwelcoming.

I love going to Melville House. The staff are so friendly easy to get along with, the prices are so affordable and the rooms are great quality for the price point. The area is a short walk away from the popular 7th street in Melville where one can enjoy a delicious meal, thrift shopping and partying in the evenings. I love Melville House

Brilliant hostel/backpackers. Shared kitchens and bathrooms unless you rent the ensuite rooms. The staff and wi-fi make it stand out.
