The food was absolutely amazing, came with my family for the first time. But the waiter that we had was kind of all over the place. He would literally disappear, but then another lovely waiter by the name of maurice was so kind enough as to clear our table, pack my daughters takeaway burger and try to get us our bill even though it wasnt his table.He literally had to go look for our waiter Tshepho and tell him we wanted the bill.Ill definitely be back for the food but hope we get better service next time.

What a fantastic Greek cuisine as well as warm and welcoming atmosphere,, I love it .The food was really great, the chicken and pork souvlaki wasn’t as good as beef , a bit expensive

The wraps (yiros) were amazing. Unfortunately the so called crispy roast potatoes at R46.00 through Mr. Delivery is not worth the price. The dish was a mere 6 small pieces of half baby potatoes and not crispy. Disappointing when the side orders cost half the price of a main. Even though the food is tasty, some items are not worth the price.

Our first time at Nikos. What an experience! We had a range of starters and shared two desserts. Every dish done to perfection. And quite simply the best hummus I have ever had. Superb service and a great ambience. Worth driving miles for but, happily, five minutes up the road for us. Definitely our new local

The Short: Good food along with a good atmosphere (noisy in the evening). The Long: I do not often give a five star review so believe me when I say that its worth giving Nikos a bash. The food and staff are top notch, the owners are always there managing the restaurant so the service levels and quality seldom (not once in my 4 visits) slip. The only thing that may blur the tip of one of the five stars is the venue, its a shopping centre so dont expect panaromic views ;)

Small and cozy. Had a problem with the outside lights which were flickering. When it was eventually switched off it was actually more romantic. Anyway the staff are very friends and the food was good. Really enjoyed my beef fillet ios. Moderately priced.

The food at this establishment is authentic but modern, and tasty. The menu features traditional Greek food that tastes like home. The staff are extremely well trained and go above and beyond what youd expect from average wait staff. There is little that this establishment has not thought of.

Awesome Greek food and a reasonable price. Had lunch there and we had a Chicken and a Beef Yiro, both with chips (You pay extra for sides like the chips). Service was great and the food arrived less than 10 minutes from ordering. 19 January 2019 update - Food is still amazing and the service excellent.

Good authentic Greek food and well priced for what you get. We enjoyed some starters and the souvlaki in pita and everything was great in comparison to other Greek places around Joburg. Place feels authentic and service was on point. Will definitely be back soon.

Amazing Greek food, was very impressed. For pork lovers try the tomahawk pork chop and drizzle a little bit of the mustard lemon. Very nice selection of food, lovely vibes and the cocktails and gins are really something to try.

Have visited NIKOS a few times for sit down and had a few take-aways at times as well. The food is YUMMY. I would recommend the Beef Limnos as a great sit down or take-away choice. Just phone your order in and pick it up in 20 minutes.

My whole household is addicted to their yiros they are so good! We collect and get delivered and theyre always fresh and so tasty! Their chips are thick cut and equivalent to wedges, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Really great food!

Tasty plates of Greek themed food. The pricing for some seems excessive for a restaurant that is the Greek version of Ocean Basket (R65 for three small fingers of fried halloumi for example). Halva ice-cream as dessert is a good option. The menu is lengthy to the point of being intimidating - think of an A3 page covered in size 9 font. The service is average and if you are there on a busy evening and dont have a reservation then you might end up being squeezed into tables by the bar which is cramped.

Great location, great atmosphere, friendly and polite staff. My partner and I felt like having a light snack. I ordered the calamari head and squid with a large Greek salad. The calamari was pretty average and I was only given one lemon wedge. The salad was fresh but not cold or crisp which are two important elements. The balsamic vinegar is very thin and not very good quality. I ordered a watermelon motjito. It tastes like a glass of soda water with a dash of watermelon syrup. I spoke to the manager, he replaced it with a new drink which was drenched in syrup, I could not taste any rum whatsoever, definitely not good value for money. I wanted to send it back but my partner and I had limited time, therefore I decided to not. My partner had a dish with pastry and feta, he was happy with his meal. I am rather disappointed.

It was our first time at Nikoe, we were served by Thabo. He was good and efficient. He recommended the drink which i thoroughly enjoyed. Even though i got the wrong order, when my food came it was good and tssty. We loved the ambience. Restrooms were also clean

Went there for a business lunch today with two colleagues. We were greeted by gracious hostess Bronwyn and started on the patio outside, all CoViD protocols observed.I had the Ios Yiro (a souvlaki with a choice of meat plus red onion, tomato, fried halloumi cheese and delicious tzatziki - meat choices are pork, chicken or beef fillet, and I chose the beef today). Superb! Savoured every last morsel. My two colleagues each had the moussaka on my recommendation (which in turn was based on another colleagues prior recommendation, or should I rather say rave review) and declared it delectable. Cappuccinos capped off the meal and we left sated and happy, with our business successfully concluded to boot.

Date night at Nikos! The food was delicious, cocktails were yummy and the service was fantastic! As you can see from our pictures, we had a great time and the food was finished too quickly to take a snap of what we ate. Starters, mains and dessert was to die for !

First time at Nikos. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a group of friends or family. Its relatively quiet but not dull in the slightest. The staff are friendly and helpful. The owners make the place feel like home. The food is perfect for those not accustomed to Greek food, simple but cultured.

Best Greek food in town! Every meal is a taste explosion that leaves you satisfied yet wanting for more. Their portion sizes are perfect, the prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. I keep going back thinking last time was a dream, but the food just stays great. Delicious hummus and the elderflower mojito is to die for. Just go see for yourself - you wont regret it.

We absolutely love this place. It has a really buzzing vibrancy to it. There are great and good value options on the menu. They have also just started serving their own ice cream that was pretty good. We love Greek food in general, but this is one of the best.

Yum yum yum!!!!. Just loved the food here. The skinny lamb chops with zucchini fries are to die for. Food is super amazing. Staff are friendly and really efficient. Brace yourself for a real Greek vibe.... Its loud its busy but so worth the visit. The corrugated Baklava is so delicious and unusual compared to the normal rolled baklava. Really worth the money and experience. So YUMMY!!

Just a great Friday lunch venue. 4 of us ,1kg skinny lamb chops, zucchini fries, roasties & a lovely fresh slaw salad. Thoroughly enjoyed that & reasonably priced. Service good & attentive & friendly. Will definitely be back & will recommend to others. Patrick x

Being New Year, 2019 I decided to be in the company of a Greek Restaurateur, which was recommended to me by a visitor from Greece.The service was out of this world. The food apart from being tasty, was prepared in record time.Very pleasant atmosphere from management and staff.

Very poor management of online orders through MrD, the staff at the store were very unhelpful and the manager just had a terrible dont care attitude - seems like they dont need the support and Covid has taught them nothing about being humble.

A wonderful restaurant for delicious greek food, friendly service and an all round pleasant lunch/dinner with family and friends. There is lots to choose from on the menu and it is reasonably priced.
