Great golf course ⛳🏌️‍♂️There were Bunker repairs at the time of this review (hence the 4🌟 review), which made 2 holes inaccessible... but otherwise, a really good course...

Great morning out. Course in good condition despite parts of the course being worked on quite a bit and the greens felt like they were hollow tined recently.

Not a golfer, but was invited to lunch. Excellent food at reasonable prices. The fact that all the waiters recognise regular members by sight, name and their usuals, reminds me of the sitcom Cheers, where everybody knows your name. And they are friendly, too. A wonderful outing. Highly recommended

One of the best in Gauteng. The course is always in good condition regardless of the season. Some of the best and most consistent bunkers Ive played. Great clubhouse with a selection on the menu

Lovely course, the restaurant and food also very good. Apart from one chap at the Estate entrance (security guard) the staff were very very good.The waitress that saw to us today was exemplary...very well done and thanks to all.

Despite the hollow-tined greens, a beautifully kept and well-managed golf course. From The GM, who greeted everyone he met, to the excellent waitons, most helpfull starter and the friendly half-way staff, this is a golfing experience not to miss.

Fantastic golf course. Most difficult greens in Johannesburg but a beautiful overall course design. Plus: best driving range in Johannesburg!

Its an amazing golf club

As far as the golf course and setting is concerned; its fantastic. The restaurant however, leaves alot to be desired.

Course is in decent condition. Bunkers on back 9 are GUR.

The golf course is well manicured. Clean and tidyI was shocked at the driving range .R60 a bucket and as a non member you only allowed to use the mats.The grass tees are for members only.

Played with friends. Booking was easy. The staff at pro shop were great. It’s a higher end golf course so expect to pay more. But it’s worth it. The course layout, conditioning, manicured fairways and bunkers. Just awesome. A thinking mans course. Great risk reward holes. Halfway fish and chips is a winner. All round one of the best courses to play in Johannesburg

Stunning views here as always. I came here for an event recently. It was a good space for a workshop but I felt after lunch the water table could have been refilled. Lunch was alright, I liked that it wasnt as carb heavy. For a venue -other than for golf - it was great.

The people are extremely unfriendly, and seems like they doing you a favor having you there.Golf course is a joke. Has one of the worst holes ever on a golf course.Would rather play putt putt than go there.Never again.

Houghton Golf Club is a great place to relax. Beautiful scenery. I will recommend this place to family and friends.

The course is looking and playing well, but the greens are a little furry and in the slow side.With Letitia Moses managing the field, the pace of play was spot on.

Very very nice course and super awesome staff. Had a little bad experience with some member there. Left a little bad taste in our mouths. But if you can ignore those few who think they own the course i will recommend this course everyday any day all day

Chilled just behind the Houghton hotel

A great golf course, with really true greens, a pleasure to play the course, and in summer they have a great breakfast run where you can tee off before 06:30 and play 9 holes for R110 including a breakfast afterwards which is a great deal! Would recommend playing this course during these specials anytime!

Golf course in fantastic shape. Enjoyable game of golf until the 18th green. Patrons on outside terrace next to 18th green very noisy and show no respect . Otherwise a great day out 👍.

Was disappointed at the seafood curry at the restaurant. It has a great view of the golf course and is normally very good. Then, again, I guess operating under Covid19 conditions and unable to sell alcohol is not ideal.

Excellent golf course. Strict covid protocols.

Beautiful scenery. Wide variety if holes to play from. There is a restaurant on site and a small canteen at the lower level. The staff are super friendly and always willing to assist.

Good place to refresh

My 5 star home course! The course is a fair test (you need your A putting game), with all the holes offering a variety of challenges. Big driving range, chipping green and 2 putting greens - with big and clean changing rooms. Staff is always accommodating, friendly and approachable. A very proud member.

Love the course and friendly staff. Unfortunately their super expensive smoothies in the clubhouse left a bitter taste in my mouth. The smoothies are good but definitely not worth 100 bucks!

Great course. Great club house. Great everything. One of the best in Joburg. My only problem is that halfway for the caddies is R30 yet they have to pay R40 for their lunch...... come on pretty ridiculous, fix that and Ill give you 5 stars all day long.

Wow ...am absolutely in awe of this place ..such elegance and well kept establishment..so scenic and tranquil and definitely upmarket...staff are ever so friendly and make u feel so welcome....no amount of words can describe how impressive this place is....definitely will love to go there again...seems like u in another world here....definitely very well maintained and a real place of leisure...hats off to the management and staff of this place 👑👍👍

Reflective of the unequal distribution of wealth in the country, access to facilities still along those lines. Institutions unfortunately have to either stay as is to survive or adapt and then DIE. The history on the walls tells the tale. Beautiful place, good service.

A delicious lunch in a tranquil setting overlooking the lakes and greens of the golf course. Bird life abounding. A lovely pre-christmas lunch with dear friends. A perfect celebration.

The clubhouse offers amazing breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Amazing pizzas. A well stocked bar and complimentary bowls of popcorn during drinks. Fabulous vibe to meet up with friends with a gorgeous view of the golf course. There is also a putt putt green free of charge, ask the golf shop on the clubhouse to supply equipment.
