I walked away (oops I drove away!) with a smile, a big smile. I have been struggling for months with another dealership chain (starting with an F for Ford) to get to the bottom of my clutch problems. I understand they may have even replaced the gearbox under warranty but the problem persisted. After a meeting with their service manager I decided I had enough and I searched for another Ford dealership in my area. I should have done that from the beginning.From the moment I walked in to Paul Maher Ford in Cresta I felt like I was in good hands. I was able to have a sensible discussion with the service manager and staff, they were honest and open about some of the possible outcomes when they work on the vehicle. They only kept my vehicle for 3 days out of an estimated 5 and Rozanne gave me regular feedback and guided me through my options as things progressed.I can honestly say that it was worth my effort and time to drive the extra kilos to Paul Maher Ford. My vehicle is now in tip-top condition again and a pleasure to drive, thanks to their competent staff and service.

2nd year in a row where its taken 3 trips to complete a service.Last year - After service book not stamped noticed after returned home, then computer needs to be reset warning light goes on a week after service.This year - Billing issue, I go in a week later to pay the short charge, 2 days later service message goes on a week later. . . idk I give up.

My daughters Ford Focus which is serviced by Paul Maher Ford just didnt want to start in a mall far away from my home yesterday and since I am personally not familiar with the car and just wanted to know if this could happen when the remote battery is dead( as before it finally died a message flashed something about the immobilizer..). I spoke to a service advisor at Ford Maher stating that the car has died and I wanted to just ask someone a question about what it could be. She refused to assist or get someone to advise me stating that I needed to have the car towed in. When I requested to speak to the manager she said that he was not in and abruptly put the phone down in my ear. I have since left 2 messages for the brach manager to call me back, and I am still waiting. Very disappointed customer.

Paul Maher Auto (Ford), is scam dealer.bought a Nissan Np 200 and both rear shocks came off when driving. the sales and technical especially the workshop supervisor, showed arrogance and ignorance to the fact that they are still responsible for the vehicle. this happened within 30 days of getting the vehicle,. although it was a second hand with +/- 50000km on it but the rubbish & terrible service issued by this dealer, illustrates, their incapability.of not caring for their customers lives and worst, not wanting to take responsibility. I urge anyone looking far any car to never set foot on that dealer. (Beyers Naude drive, Cresta).

Got a quote to fix my lock about 6 weeks ago and was informed that the sales dept would advise when they had stock in. I never was. Went on thursday to check if they had stock and they did. I was informed that the price of the lock was now R1300 and it included a security upgrade. Dropped my car off and was told it would be about an hour. 2 hours later later I got a call for a quote??? Now the lock is R2700, higher than the original quote and way more than the quote from the previous day. I asked them not to go ahead, only to be informed that I would now have to pay R1400 for a diagnostics report. I went to collect the car around 2pm, and was called almost 3 hours later to ask me when I intended on collecting my car.Pretty huge mess for a simple process. Come on Ford, youre on the back foot already with these locks.

But the thing that stood out is that I had parts that was recalled and asked if they should replace it at the same time (free of charge)! Loved the experience and professionalism of this dealership!

When I dropped my Ford Fiesta 2015 off in the morning I was welcomed to nothing but sour faces and unpleasant attitudes. I had asked for a quote for fixing the door handle as I had gone to two other places whose prices varied (even though in May of 2109 Ford released a statement that due to the amount of fords that have been broken into, locks will have a standard price of R1300) but the sales rep said that for a quote alone I will have to pay roughly R1200...for just a quote (I have never received this from an automotive company before). The overall price was roughly R3000.A day or two after I picked up my car, I noticed four things:1 - the door lock that they had replaced was a completely different color to the rest of my car, and it was a different size to the other door locks (later I found out that they had given me an older models lock)2 - My rearview mirror had been loosened3 - Some mechanism inside my door had been fiddled with to the point that each time I would open or close my window all I hard was a screech as well a oil leaking4 - My door reflecting light had been removedA week later when I was contacted by customer service from ford, I had communicated my frustration and the rep informed me that the manager would phone me soon, that was 4 weeks ago and I have still not heard from the manager.Over-all the service was unhuman and just poor, from the get-go I would have denied their service but the fact that they pin you with an R1000+ quote is quite appalling

The service department is excellent! Unfortunately a faulty part meant I needed help from the warranty department and it was the worst experience I have had from Ford! The car went in Tuesday morning and I was told I will have my car by Wednesday afternoon. I got my car Friday afternoon. Every time she phoned me she said that she had previously phoned but I did not answer (which is not true). Its hard to believe that when you buy a R350 000 car that you would have to ask colleagues and other people for lifts not actually knowing when you would have a car again. It is unfortunate that I have always only had excellent experiences and it took one person to end it.

I own 2 Fords and I will only use Paul Maher for anything that I need for my 2 babys. I will not use any other Ford dealership. Paul Maher are one of the reasons I bought my 2nd Ford and not any other make. DO NOT take your vehicle for service to this dealership!As part of the service I asked for the lights to be adjusted. I was was told it did not have to be adjusted, as it was correct, when I collected my vehicle, but subsequently I was told by the irritated workshop manager (Ben van Niekerk) that he actually did adjust it. It is still not correct, but furthermore they managed to break the light adjuster, as it now shines up, when its supposed to go down and visa versa. I luckily voice recorded my whole encounter at the dealership & I am glad, as Ben van Niekerk spoke to me in a threatening manner & also had an aggressive physical demeanor, just before I left. I have reported what had transpired to Ford South Africa & have booked my vehicle into another dealership, to sort out the lights & adjustment! I am now not even sure if my vehicle was serviced properly, due to what happened.

Bad service and bad attitude. After my car was kept at the dealer for almost 4 weeks to replace a glow plug, when complaining to the manager about the amount of time which they had the car, the manager proceeded to offer to purchase my car for his daughter! Shocked and disappointed at their service, I left the dealership, only having to return the car the same day as it will still not running properly. They kept it for a further week!

There is a face book group by the name of my FORD got broken into-but ford does not acknowledge this. went to the police station to open a case as my eco sport was broken into and the lock damaged, at the police station I met four other people that were opening cases for attempted break in and break in! Last year my Ford Fiesta ST Ecoboost went for a service and when I asked whether it is under recall i have been told that under this vin number it doesnt fall under recall !!!So around October last year driving through Braamfontein My car started to steam and dumped all its coolant, luckily I stopped my car in time before it would progress into engine overheating, engine damage and consequently fire. After calling Ford and explaining the situation, they said that the car is under warranty by I have to tow it at my cost, which was frustrating but I did it and costed me about 5 hours to get the car to the dealership.Once I dropped the car as usual there was no cutesy car, so I had to find another means of travel at my cost. Once they fixed the car there were some cracked clamps, connector, pipes (so the car should of being recalled - I would assume)As I was driving this morning rushing to get to my business a little bit earlier, 4 kilometers away from my house I start seeing a little bit of the steam and as I opened the bonnet the cooler was low and it smelled like a burned coolant. Have had 7 encounters with Paul Maher Ford. Purchased a Ford Fiesta 1.4 in 2010. Reported the aircon and a dash rattle on first service interval(20k), did not get repaired. Same story on second service interval (40k). Finally made a ruckus with them at 60k, at which point they finally did something about it(at the end of the maintenance plan). Theyre unreliable with callbacks for servicing and parts. Had one positive experience when dealing with a technician directly, but otherwise disorganized. Naturally, the most enjoyable experience when dealing with Paul Maher is when it looks like youre gonna buy a car(took a friend to look for a new one); thereafter, unsatisfactory. Will not be purchasing again from this dealer, and might even consider never again purchasing a Ford, as parts and maintenance after plan are insanely, utterly ridiculously inflated(worse than some german cars).

I will never go back to this dealer. I was charged heavily by them replacing brake pads when I knew they did it not need replacing. I was told there is less than 1mm pad left which was not true at all as I demanded the old pads back and found each pad with 3-4mm of meat on all the pads. After much back and forth and rude staff Telling me to bring the car in at my inconvenience again so they can put the old ones back I have left it and will never go back. So sad, been a customer for many years but no longer.
