Ample parking for customers inside which is great.The booking system only allows you entry in but you still have to queue and wait your turn.Why allow users to download the form if you still force them to complete the same form on arrival?Out of 4 possible stations to serve customers only 2 were working. And at one point it was only 1 person helping.The cashier queue can be relatively long as well for some reason.No cash is accepted which makes it safer but I dont enjoy handing over my card to the cashier who will have the card out of view which in my view can be dangerous in terms of having your card information stolen via a hidden skimming machine.Best advice is to book but to still arrive in advance of your appointment.To bring your own black pen.And Fridays they fumigate at 16:00 so if you are in the queue you may have to return on another day which im not sure means you need to make another appointment on the website.

Rubbish if you ask me, theres thugs at the gate that are robbing people who are not familiar with the place. When you call the nearby police station they acknowledge what is happening but they its non of their business.I sat and watched while they rob 2 other people, who clearly have never been there before.The cashier was rude and attends to people she knows first while you standing at the window.

Getting inside is a nightmareThere are loads of scammers trying to assist you to make the process quicker. (they do seem to be jumping the queue inside but dont tell you thier fee upfront...) fraud if Im not mistaken...Just say thank you, if I need your help I will come ask. Inside the station actually isnt to bad, they are just processing a lot of people so that takes time. But it does get done. Application for drivers renewal took me about 2 hours, card pick only 15 min. The haggling is really intimidating and makes the place seem very unpleasant and its not acatully.

I called to inquire about roadworthy testing but couldnt get through over the phone. It doesnt look like theres anyone that answers the phone. It just rings endlessly that is if their numbers are working or phones exist at all.

Guys outside saying off line since previous day but will help you for a fee.- all a scam.Then tell you there is an outstanding traffic fine to be paid. Unsafe area with lots of dodgy people hanging around. Randburg much safer.

I went to renew my license and I was in and out in 35 minutes top. I was very impressed, its just the payment queue that was long.

Very good, testing is done quickly but efficiently as well. And they advise if there are additional problems that they dont have to check. I would recommend this place to all.

Every time I go there getting worst,with all the technology and the renovation been done still bad.You can see corruption happening day light every where inside and outside.

Arrived at 9 o’clock to write my learners license booked for 10. We only got in to write the test at 10:30 after sitting around and waiting. After the test was marked we were told to go wait in a line outside to pay, this was at 11:30. We all stood in that queue for 3 hours not moving before we finally were allowed to pay and get the learners. Apparently staff were on lunch. Lucky them. The rest of us stood there starving and thirsty. I gave them 2 stars cause there was a really kind lady that helped us with our forms and she deserved a star at least. This entire process was concerning and extremely worrying. Can’t believe they have no respect for anyone there’s time. So many people had taken off work to be there. It should have been a morning off but instead a whole day affair.

You will queue forever, one lady passed out in the sun. Zero stars is too much, I have been to Laanglagte and Randfontein, way better than this useless place.

Quite efficient in my own opinion. The queues do move fast & the staff are well organised. They do need to work on the air conditioning. It gets HOT and humid in the offices & waiting area.

I went to the Florida Test Station to have my drivers licence renewed. There were notices on the walls that said that it is closed as they have not been provided with protective gear. Tried to speak to a black lady at collections and she said We are closed. I then asked her when it would open. She said Watch the News. Can you please assist or advise.

I would not recommend using this testing station. There is a huge criminal syndicate operating at the entrance and as careful as one could be we still had items stolen. They block the roads and chase you and intimidate you. Never again.

They dont work like other testing stations that are reliable on what I must provide. The system allow us to print application to complete. When you arrive they give you another form and discard what you have printed. They also need photos that the other stations they dont need if you are doing normal licence without looking for temporary.

There is a big group of scammers waiting right outside the FREE parking space and they try to get you to park outside the DLTC and make you pay. They also claim that you can skip the line to the front for a huge fee. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING. Why these scammers are free to scheme right outside the DLTC is a mystery to me. Why arent they arrested? Absolutely atrocious.

Ample FREE parking ON the premises for customers. Ignore all those dodgy characters just outside the gate, making you believe you cannot park inside, so that THEY must watch your car outside, for a fee of course.Quick service.Friendly staff.Not nearly as painful as I anticipated. What a rubbish place to visit. There is no indication where to go when you get there. Very unfriendly staff. Prepare yourself for a minimum of 2 hours wait. So so bitterly disappointed in public servants SCREAMING at the kids for not having a copy of ID. Shame on you Roodepoort Test station. Shame on you. Will never ever return.

Useless-security was clueless and was probably making money on the side as he was letting it friends but blocking others in the queue. Also was in charge of handing out forms to the tax paying public. Had to take a day off for pathetic service and was to told to come back again and again. If you have to go, take precautions and try go just before closing.

The service received was efficient and the gent I initially went and to was very polite and helpful. The lady by the cashier was also very friendly, however, she took down my bank card number and wrote down my id number on a block piece of paper which was slipped under the screen. I then asked her why she took my card number and Id and she replied it was protocol.

Rude! Ive never been this upset ever! The tellers are extremely rude and wont even attempt to help out! If you going there make sure you take cash and the perfect amount ad they never have a cash float and their card machines almost always never works

Amazing how some of our governmental agencies, have slick processes, e.g Home Affairs, applying for passport etc. Meanwhile, getting a learners license application process (for my son)....is like watching paint dry. Nevermind the no added value of the online booking process, nor the fact that I came already prepared with a eye test certificate from my own optometrist. You still hurry up and wait and join the queue. Over an hour now. A shake up is needed here....the guys that run SARS IT....please lend a help here.

Roodepoort Florida the most pathetic service they tell you service is offline staff are having snacks at their table and dont have the decency to sit at the enquiry counter to explain to customers what is going on. The security guard stands around being rude and abrupt to people saying there is nothing he can do. Waiting just to do a eye test and pay for a booking after people must do online bookings. This is pathetic service no manager comes out to explain what is going on!

With the online bookings for your LL, DL, DLR & PDL is just as easy like your click-and-collect registration even though the queues may be there for formalities but over and above the online initiative made and makes great impact

Well I had a great day being there bc I passed however its a pretty chilled place. The service was fairly okay, nothing to complain about, it was efficient, got everything done on a jiffy

Honestly the system in which these government organisations operate are much to be desired. The frustration and snail pace in which the employees work at is just shocking. Im yet to go to any licencing department and have a pleasant experience. Most of the staff are on slow go and so miserable. The only 2 people who I can say were helpful was the young guy at reception and the gentleman who tested my eyes. The system really needs jacking up but I honestly cannot see it happening anytime soon. One needs to take a deep breath when going to re new the licences.

Not very safe.. U get called by people outside even followed when u need to get pics.. They hang on the fence and stare at u to get their attention.. My son was mugged here with his phone.. People trying to talk u into not standing in the queue and not waiting so u pay them.. So glad Cape Town Goodwood and Milnerton was organised and none of that funny stuff happening outside. Dont understand why the dept cant just make it safer for people to actually get their stuff done here. Its not like the people hanging outside are vendors.. Thats different thats standing and selling stuff to make a living.. But this is con artists and thieves that are allowed to stand and hang around here to interfere with everyone entering the gate

Openly fraudulent employees and incapable of answering telephones

I went to this Licensing Department on Tuesday 2nd August and was treated with utmost courtesy, efficiency, concern and warm friendship. Every person I spoke to, and dealt with, was sympathetic to my plight, and my Temporary License was organised in no time at all. Id like to thank every person who assisted me there, most particularly a man named Zulu who went beyond the call of duty to arrange an Uber to take me back to Sharonlea, even checking with the driver that he would take care of me, and assisting me into the car. Arrived at 12.00 - BEEEEG mistake! Pre-lunch go-slow - Lunch - Post-lunch coma. Finished after 16h00. 4 hours of my life I wont get back. The queue barely moves until 15h00. Then watch the staff turn into Flash Gordon and miraculously process everyone in an hour.Clearly theres a Tsetse fly outbreak. Apart from the usual Trypanosomiasis symptoms, this particular strain is accompanied by profound disdain for the people you are meant to help, utter loss of public relations and communication skills, disappearance at meal times followed by post-prandial malaise.On a serious note this ineffectiveness at all levels of government bureaucracy is costing the economy millionsTo renew an expired drivers people have to take a day off work. More than once if the system is offline. Even emergency service workers are not exempt from the insanity - firemen, paramedics, nurses, doctors - must put in for leave to go off duty just to comply with a dumb law that renders a drivers license invalid every 5 years.

This place is a kak place, it was my first time going to book for learners I arrived there at 9h20am and I was attended at 16h30pm. Poor service and poor staff, they know nothing a out the Batho Pele Principle

Its a municipal service centre, with all the usual bureaucratic snarls, tangles and long waiting queues. Crowds of opportunistic vagrants without the facility creates an unsafe environment for the public, and public safety officers are usually absent

Dont go as a woman on your own. As I drove in the men outside started banging on the car trying to open the door and shouting at me. They wouldnt let me drive in. Eventually the security guard chased them away. A very scary experience.Rather go to roodepoort or Krugersdorp.
