I like Tashas. The food is fresh and the portions are large. Its location is great for business lunches in the area. A diverse, vegan friendly menu, reasonably priced and some interesting drinks on the menu. The staff is friendly and professional. Great service.If your looking for a place to eat and hang out stop at Tashas.

A very nice liver on toast dish with a medium poached egg served with dour dough toast. Not to filling and my new go to dish at Tashas

We had the vegan burger that comes with chips and it was honestly quite disappointing. We also had some smoothies and those were great. But would not really recommend this place if youre looking for delicious vegan food.

The Morningside Tashas in particular has the best management and the best service of all the Tashas restaurants, and possibly the best in the country. George sets the absolute highest standards when it comes to service and will not accept anything below great from the management & waiting staff as well as in the kitchen!

Keep coming here on a regular basis. These guys rock. Overcrowded regularly... waiting time to be seated is around 5 min... its worth to wait.Menu still is consistent and good... not to mention, vast.Because its crowded the level of noise is high...Food and service is good.When you order natural juices, please remind the waiter to tell the juicer man to wash the juicer container... otherwise your orange juice comes with a carrot slight flavour...🤔

Amazing coffee, great service however the red velvet cake was a little dry. Other than that no complaints about this place. Try out their Greek coffee takes coffee to another level.

A pleasant evening meal with my sister visiting from the UK.Salad seemed a little tired and dressings not up to scratch.Our waiter Brian was attentive and polite, restaurant was very quiet with the festive emigration to the coastal areas.All in all 6.5 /10

Terrible experience. Ordered coffee and a muffin. The muffin was rubbery in texture and tasted like egg yolks. Sent it back immediately after the first bite. The manager came over to our table and proceeded to argue about how we were mistaken and that there was nothing wrong with the muffin, he was forceful and quite aggressive and if we weren’t 3 women at the table I’m sure that he wouldn’t have acted the way that he did. They’ve lost 3 return customers for good.Rude, sexist staff members have ruined this cafe for us for good.

After a drink or two... (Who is counting?) We decided to order some food. We ordered the Schnitzel Sarmie, Lettuce Cup Burgers and the Greenland Quesadillas. ALL of the dishes were truly memorable and generous! Comfortable and relaxing place, even though usually packed on weekends for brunch, the wait for a table is usually not that long. Food is pretty good and service is commendable.

Was very disappointed by grill fish. It was tasteless, just like boiled fish. Such waste of money. Cheese cake and pasta was OK. And they didnt have anything for kids to do.

Ordinarily I would rate them 4/5. Sadly their selection is deteriorating rapidly. Out of a variety of tea they used to have they now stock what you can buy at a Wimpy whilst all of the other franchises still have the selection available. Manager shrugs and says he doesnt know if they will get it again but we must keep coming back to check 🤦‍♂️

An acquaintance of mine and I went out for a late breakfast during level 3 lockdown and it felt good to be out again. Tashas had a great vibe, it was packed, the service was great through out. Really enjoyed it.

One good thing about COVID-19 is that the pandemic has forced eateries to create a lot more space between patrons. Sadly though, their acoustics are still terrible, making it extremely noisy.The food was delicious, tasty and flavourful. I settled for my Mediterranean lamb cutlets with chips and a salad.

First time back in a year and a half and it seems if the menu is still the same as it has ALWAYS been. Outstanding coffee albeit pricey. Had a simple cheese and tomato croissant that appeared to be put into the microwave to melt the cheese (the croissant was soft) then had to pay R100 for the combination.

Waitress Virginia is a legend. Ordered the open chicken souvlaki to share with a side order of chips. Best Summer dish ever!

Have unfortunately not had a satisfactory vegan meal here (none on menu - had to be adapted at great tedium)...given the prices youd think that they would make an effort. Veg options also tasteless and overpriced. But maybe Tash doesnt need the extra custom. Also tables/spacing way too close for comfort, can hardly move or hear. My fault for trying 3 times.

The best Freezo Ive had in a really long time. The staff are friendly and the food is good.

Nice buzz, good food, good service. All would be well with this popular venue, but I think it has got expensive for what it is. 3 of us enjoyed a wrap, a toasted sandwich and an egg bake (swallowed down with 2 cups of coffee each). But it did set us back almost R200 a head!I regularly enjoy Tashas, but I am finding it harder to justify the pricing. Definitely a place to enjoy if you dont care about what it will cost.

Look, the service was great, and the drinks were good, too. But if I wanted a medium rare sirloin steak that wasnt so chewy, Id have made it myself. The restaurant was busy, but come on. Also, they oversalted my chips a lot. I was thirsty after eating five shoestring fries. Five. Still, the brownies are fantastic. So, a mixed bag if you go when its busy on a Friday afternoon.

Excellent service, especially during these times. Tashas made our dining friendly and safe, but it could have been more safe with better sanitisation sprays upon entry to the cafe as this was not really enforced with each person entering, especially children.

Tashas has some of the simplest but most delicious food in all of South Africa. They have a wide variety of dishes which though they may seem normal and nothing outside the ordinary its flavours and presentation is truly outstanding. I have been going to Tashas many restaurants for a lot of years now, and they all live up the their reputation of an impeccable service and tasty food. I may prefer a select few dishes in particular such as the quessedilha, but they have such a wide variety that they appeal to all types of customers. There is always something for everyone. Furthermore, tashas has a very atmosphere in its restaurants being a confortable and relaxing place. Its decoration is also a factor in this being very well choosen and being able to incorporate the right feeling to it.I highly recommend that anyone goes there whether it be for Breakfast, lunch or dinner.
