Very quaint, a little slow with meals but well worth the wait. Waitresses are great. Worth a visit if you like quiet.

One of my favourite feel-good restaurants. Inside and outside dining. Art gallery in the same building. Waitress is friendly and attentive. One can stay and chat after your meal, if its not busy. I feel like Im in the country, although Palet is situated on a main, very busy road.

Very few of these authentic coffee shop type restaurants outside shopping centres in the Roodepoort area. Really something special. Good menu/food open 7 days a week.

Now this is a very relaxed, peaceful and neat suburban Coffee Shop and Art Dealer. The menu is a typical but sufficient coffee shop menu. The menu items are well prepared and they use very fresh produce for it.

The atmosphere is okay as it is also an art gallery. The service was very slow,and the food, although prepared well enough, was served on a cold plate on a chilly Johannesburg winters morning. It is my pet hate when restaurants do this.It was overall okay, but I doubt I will be returning. There are too many other breakfast options in Jhb.

Got to watch my wife, she and her friends would go here everyday if they could. Great food and a nice venue. They also allow groups to use the venue for things like baby showers etc since you will order food there.

Not as child friendly as they say they are. The wait staff could not seem to handle a Café that was at capacity and got rather snotty when questioned. It could be nice for a coffee during the week when its quieter.

Nice place : good atmosphere, nicely laid out, decent food. They do however need to get a good coffee machine.

Service has deteriorated drastically now that it has become more popular. Family members are filling in as waitrons on weekends. Waited more than an hour for our breakfast on my last visit there. Very disappointed as this is a really lovely coffee shop and art exhibitor with great potential

We had a lovely relaxed afternoon there...delicious food. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

What a disaster!Although the place wasnt even busy, we still waited for over an hour for three meals! Two plates eventually arrived. We were then informed that the kitchen had made the incorrect third meal!The third plate eventually arrived - 3 dry flapjacks, 2 pieces of bacon and a sliced grilled banana - no syrup, no honey, no sauce of any kind.A complimentary cup of coffee doesnt make up for incredibly poor, lukewarm food.Had been looking forward to our first visit to Palet. Very disappointing - definitely WONT be back.

Lovely place to meet a friend/ friends for a time outGreat ambience with the art gallery, well set out gardens & unusual interior decor. Good service by smiling staff serving excellent food. Only problem is that there are quite a few steps so not really suitable for wheelchair users or those not too nimble footed.

I have not had any experience at this institution, apart from the fact that it is the neighbouring business of my medical consulting rooms in Florida Park. The shop seems to be quite busy, though. The rating is based purely on the number of people who frequent it.

The service was reasonable.
