Great decor with outside seating options available. Good variety on the breakfast menu that ranges from a simple inexpensive croissant to more elaborate dishes so there is something for everyone. Not so easy to find but worth the visit

No little throbb. They consistently deliver good quality food with friendly and efficient service in a pleasant atmosphere. The first surprise of the evening was the La Trappe blond larger in a delightful beer glass. Oh, so smooth we ended up buying the gift pack of 4 beers and a glass. The second surprise was the fillet on the bone, my first with a source ‘to die for’. Definitely choose the medium option as the meat closer to the bone is more under cooked. Above average fillet price but worth the experience.

Have been there a few times, the food is always fresh. The breakfast is amazing. Staff very quick on their feet. Very great ambience to chill at on a nice hot day.

Love the atmosphere and decor. Our waitress was pleasant and we had good service.We were served with complimentary flat bread/butter/Parmesan/chilli/. Food was average however the prawn curry was way below average and tasted bitter. Their desserts are good.I just got my sherry and accidentally spilled all of it . The manager said I gotta pay for another one - I own a coffee shop and I will gladly replace a spilled drink at no charge. For a restaurant that busy as a manager without batting an eyelid should of done the opposite.

Even though there was load shedding they were able to switch to generators and business as usual. Food was superb!!

Good portion sizes and quick service. This place has a slightly French, but mostly homely, neighbourhood feel to it. Their food is good, I especially liked the bunny chow, a brioche bun stuffed to overflow with spicy chicken livers and a side of scrambled eggs.Shout-out to their plain croissant - flaky and buttery. Avoid the variants of almond or chocolate though, the almond tasted overpowering of almond liqueur and the chocolate was dense and heavy.

Vibrant restaurant in Fourways with good food, decent wine and cocktail menu and great service. The atmosphere is relaxed. Booking is recommended.

Smaller branch of Throbbing Strawberry, but with a bakery rather than bar feel. Smaller menu, but still more than enough options to feel like you need to come back to try them all! Perfect spot for brunch with freshly baked goods produced throughout the morning.

Delightful restaurant hidden in the hustle and bustle of Fourway. This rustic style restaurant boasts a wide variety of dishes each tailored to the course. My recommendation is breakfast. Their artisanal breads are the perfect accompaniment to the traditional English breakfast.

Lovely service, didnt have a reservation but they seated us on a busy Sunday Mothers day morning. The waiter was attentive and I got a great and wine glass as a gift for Mothers day. The food was great as always lovely hollandaise sauce with my Benedict.

This is a small but charming restaurant. I like the location - quiet but conveniently close to Monte. The food was incredible. I had the prawn penne pasta. It was fresh and delicious and served super hot. Will definitely be back for this dish. The coffee was also good. I’d rate the Service as average to good. So overall rating would be 4.5 stars.

I often meet friends at Mon Petit Throbb and love the atmosphere. Convenient situated to reach Easy to reach and safe and accessible parking.The food are prepared to perfection and the prices reasonable. Bread etc are baked on the premises. Wine list is excellent.

They had run out of quite a few dishes and the only reason we went there was because of their American cheesecake which was also finished😔. The food that the rest of our party got was according to them delicious and I had the chicken salad which was tasty but chicken salad is chicken salad. The birthday gesture dessert, ice cream was enjoyed by my husband😄😄will visit again but maybe during the week to purchase their artisinal breads and finally get my American cheesecake!!

I went there for lunch today, not knowing the place, mostly good reviews and the usual disgruntled customer. Located in an office park, the set-up is rather nice hinting the claimed french bistro style. I am very please to discover that they offer la Trappe beer on tap, menu is enticing, very promising. I set my mind for the mussel pot (being very wary of mussels in SA restaurants). The menu announces mussels steamed in garlic and wine with a HINT of cream. Perfect for a light Friday lunch. I finish my beer and order a glass of wine, weve been served some focaccia in the mean time, a bit of a wait but so far so good. After some more wait, halfway through my glass of wine, comes the mussel pot, I open the lid and there have to dive to the bottom of it to discover a couple of mussels chasing each other while drowning in what looks like a thick cheesy sauce. In dismay I called the waitress and indicate that this is not what was described on the menu and that I was expecting a full portion not a starter one. The poor lady apologies and heads back to the kitchen to get me a new pot of mussels. Another wait... comes the manager advising the kitchen is busy fixing another mussel pot for me. wait, wait wait... here comes the long expected pot! It doesnt look like there are more mussels in that one. The sauce looks lighter but still like a cheesy creamy thing and not a broth... Here comes the manager, pleased to tell me that they have given me 26 mussels! when the normal portion is 20. Really not convinced but still willing to try, I pick up the one mussel eat it, what a feeling... just like picking up an old chewing gum from under your school desk! Thats where it stopped, I asked for the bill and left, dumbfounded. How can someone mess mussels that badly? how much effort does it take?

French fine dining is usually super expensive and you always leave hungry or make a stop at McDs on your way home. Mon Petit Throbb cultivates and serves the most delicious French cuisine in a beautiful and humble Cafe style. If youre looking for a must-visit and close to home Parisienne experience, Mon Petit Throbb is the place to visit. Cant wait to go back.

Ordered eggs benedict, menu says it comes with English muffins which is the norm. When it arrived it was just poached eggs on rye bread. Thats not eggs benedict, thats eggs on toast. The manager said they were out of English muffins but she is still unable to discount the price. The waitress also didnt tell us they were out of English muffins. Not good.

My wife has been a number of times with girl friends but today was our first time together. What a lovely relaxed ambiance and fantastic venue for a celebratory breakfast. What was particularly outstanding was the service and attention to detail from Polite. Thank you Sir you are a gentleman. I look forward to coming back with our fourlegged fur kid for another delightful meal on the patio. Im confident this will be our weekend brunch spot of choice going forward.

Its a lovely little restaurant next to Montecasino, with very friendly staff. Loved the Thai Fish cakes that I had for a starter. They also have craft beers, which my friend appeared to enjoy (I dont drink so cant vouch for that 😉)

We had a breakfast par excellence! Well sized, no extra charges for 2 slices pp of delicious healthbread. I ordered salmon and scrambled eggs. Eggs were cooked to perfection and a very generous helping of lovely salmon. My husband had the full Monte and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well priced too compared to the other restaurants that we frequent. My cappuccino was too milky initially but I asked the waiter for a stronger one with more foam than milk and they made it how I enjoy my cappuccino. Will definitely visit again soon

A few steps across from Monte Casino. Parking is safe and secure. Restaurant has a typical bistro feel and look ie Parisian and small. Very well done and effort made in this regard. Been here a couple of times and every time the Manager greets you the moment you walk in and staff seat you immediately. Have found staff wonderfully friendly. Menu is not overdone and has a nice selection. Wine list is also not overdone. A great place for any occasion, they know what they are doing. Service has always been fast and efficient no matter what time of day and how busy. Only drawback maybe a Friday evening live music, which may entail screaming above the music to your partner/guests. Highly recommended overall

The food was great. Starters, main course and deserts were all good with our group of 10. The service was really bad. Lack of atfention and lack of caring. One of the chairs had a nail sticking through the upholstery damaging one of our partys clothing. Little sign of concern. Wont go back.

Their French toast is great Soaked through and fried just right. Not like other places where the bread has not soaked properly and might as well be a fired piece of bread.

Restaurants near hotels often fail to impress. Mon Petite Throb is a pleasant exception. Well appointed, good service and a good selection for all tastes. Despite there being a restaurant next door and Monte Casino across the road MPT attracts both locals and hotel guests. Both lunch and dinner is busy so booking is suggested but there is usually some space. Wine list is good and enough Vegetarian options as well. Well managed and responsive I take both local and and overseas guests with confidence. From salads, steaks and pizza there is always something for everyone.

The food is fantastic, great place to go for a high end business dinner, as well a romantic setting for couples. The place isnt suitable for kids. The service is great and always look at their chef specialailities bord for something out of this world.

Decided to try Mon Petit Throbb this past sunday for breakfast/brunch... Walked and it was really, a group of 40 bikers had turned up. From the outset expectations were set that the service might be little slow due to the large turn up.. The breakfast was really really good. We ordered the Eggs Florentine and the Full Monty. Both meals were excellent and to be honest for the taste and presentation they outdo places that charge a while lot more for breakfast!! Well done! Will definitely be back for more!
