Great breads and croissants…if you get there early on saturday and sunday mornings. Otherwise you will have to wait for the next batch of croissants. With the breads, take what is left. Left with low GI bread and a fresh loaf because the sourdough was out. But there are tables for breakfast and fresh juices to try while you wait. Lots of treats to tempt you too.

Still a great breakfast here, especially when youre helped by Prospect. One huge problem, though - dont try coming in a wheelchair. Shockingly no ramp up the pavement from the parking lot!

It was great to be back at Fournos Dunkeld after a long time. The food and service were as good as ever. Highly recommended.

The service is amazing. As soon as you walk through the doors the fresh smell of baked goods makes you want to stay and eat everything in sight 😋. Loved them and their work ethic for my big orders this week

One of my all time favourites. It has been around for years and years and the reason why is clear. The quality and the incredible smell of delicious buttery baked goods and a to die for assortment of savoury treats. The croissants are the clear favourite. The chocolate ones are probably the best in the southern hemisphere.

Fournos smells like heaven.. even if you walk in there and just had breakfast you will find something you have to try.. their chocolate croissants is amazing!

The best bakery for fresh scones. I love the scones. Wish they could make fruit scones (raisins). Only shop at Fournos and Woolies for cakes. Great variety and choices.

Had breakfast here today and it was delicious eggs made perfectly and the bread was amazing! Our waitress was stunning and fixed the corrections to the breakfast ordered with a smile and loads of patience - thank youThe other thing this place does so well is arrange to sell you ready made meals for Christmas stuffed turkeys, roast chickens and many others we got the turkey last year and it was stunning! The only draw back today was that the bees swamped the cookies and biscuits display area and there were sweet honey makers all over the food, a little off putting but this place is stunning they just need to find a way to control the insect visitors -

Great bakery with reasonable prices. They have a seat out area as well. The filled croissants are absolutely divine!

Bakery and deli products on offer. Wide range of breads and confectionery. Great quality, fair prices. Also offers sit down. Personal favourites are ciabatta bread, a tub of olive paste enjoyed with a drizzle of olive oil (all of which are available in store). Ive tried several Fournos in Gauteng and feel this store offers the best quality fare.

Great breakfast and nice things to buy to take home for later meals. Dont sit too close to the next door fishmonger because the smell is a bit much while youre enjoying a meal. Not the prettiest venue and quite busy but very good service. Lovely poached eggs.

Experienced good service from staff. The rotisserie chicken was smelling so good in the car. The buns dont look like it but they are so soft and fresh.

An incredible bakery with every little pastry and baked good imaginable, all fresh and ready to go. Well situated in terms of convenience with all the other shops around it allowing one to do their entire shop in one go.

I have loved this particular outlet since it opened. This store has always displayed their wares in the most enticing way. I cannot remember any food or coffee I have had there, ever, to have disappointed me. Service is consistently good, most staff are fully attentive. I seldom rate any institution with 5 stars. This one deserves it and all the Best of Joburg awards prominently displayed certainly affirm my choice. 👏🏻👏🏻🤗💕

I’m really disappointed about the complete disregard for social distancing at this branch, even when simple options exist - e.g. spaced out signs on the floor, one- directional ques, and care that barristers don’t stick their fingers in cups etc. Tables are also getting closer and closer to each other. I - and several friends, and at least one city councillor - have raised this on several occasions, but the manager responds aggressively and sarcastically, even when one suggests options to him. Clearly the large number of customers gives him the confidence to dismiss those who raise Covid concerns. It is time that they respect their customers’ lives and health. Pity about this ignorant, arrogant attitude, because their food is so good.

Avoid! Shocking-found chicken bones(sharp ones)in the chicken wrap! Uncooked potatoes in their hot meal section, and the toasted chicken sandwich was dry and tasteless. Warm orange juice. Disgusted-manager was half apologetic but half “well it happens”-waitress still charged us and had audacity to ask for a tip. Will never go back-tell your friends and family as we certainly will, that they are better off spending money elsewhere.

They make the most amazing chocolate croissants. Hands down the best I have tasted. The prices are good. Nice and fast service. I havent had a sit down meal but the food always smells and looks good.

We love Fournos the food and experience but please guys wear your masks properly over mouths and noses and keep to covid protocols as you are dealing with food.

Fournos need to operate on a bigger plot like space. Is too busy, compact eating areas. I do only take away. Good confectionery, pricy a bit but quality food.

Fournos forever. I cant think of a time that a visit to Dunkeld does not include a stop at the Fournos. The food is good, the service friendly and there is always a baked tasty treat to take home.

Coffee tastes like burnt wood, food was terrible. I would rather go to father coffee next door.

The takeaway coffee cups leak…imagine grabbing a cappuccino to go and have to deal with a leaking cup as you drive to work dripping on you and messing your car #NotAcceptable

Still the best Fournos by far. Was a bit disappointed by the service at the pie counter though. Its never pleasant being served (especially when its food) by someone acting like youre a pest. Also, the drinks fridge is positioned inconveniencely.
