I have never had a good shopping experience here. It is under staffed and always has an unpleasant damp smell.I wont by food from this checkers.Went there to buy an iron but could not find a boxed item of the model I wanted. When I finally got assistance I was given an iron with sticky gunk on the surface and what appears to be rat droppings in the box (see pics)Reported it to a manager who seemed completely indifferent.I wont go back

Constantly being harassed by loiterers to purchase their groceries and crisp and coldrink. Have addressed with management but they are still doing it. Too dodgy just go to norwood instead

Medium diversely stocked shopping mall.Checkers is a great supermarket chain. You can find a lot of service here, certainly all the basics; from clothes, through entertainment electronics, to groceries.The vegetables are fresh and juicy, the fruit is tasty and ripe.You can get all you dairy products, frozen meats and fish, all your conserves.Cereals and bread, teas, coffees, jams…Oh, and of course sweets, chocolates and all kinds of desserts.

Worst place to shop,their securities especially by the exit are very rude,l was short of cash to pay for my groceries today,l kindly spoke with the cashier smangaliso if l can leave my groceries with her and quietly go and get the balance from the car,and she said it was ok,when l come back l kindly explained to the security about what had happened and if l can go in to give the cashier the balance,he refused and said l must go by the entrance to que again,and l did excatly what he said,as l was walking away,he called me back then told me,l was 1st suppose to tell him about it when l was goin out,l then replied him that l didnt know l was suppose to tell him since l had already spoken with the cashier,he then returned me again and said l must go back because l am not apologizing,the cashier who had scanned my groceries had to beg him to let me inn,as l was goin in he starts threatening me telling me that he knows me,and that hes goin to deal with me,l mean what is it that l said to him or did for him to cause so much scene infont of all customers,terrible service lve ever had to experience

Like therr are always few till operators when the store is full of people. Where is the sense in that? Spar is way way better, id recommend everyone to shop there😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

Only one teller on the express lane

I wanted to buy some ham,salami and other cold meats. Firstly one packer could not even understand me. When I eventually found someone, she could not find it and when we did, the variety of meats was very poor . Apparently the lady who cuts was not there. I was then taken to the deli where I saw some stale slices of meat loaf meats....not proper cold meats like parma ham, salami, ordinary ham. Poor reflection when Checkers display the most incredible food.
