Im a regular here for small tasks[tyres, balancing, puntures, oil change etc.]. The service is usually on point and the manager is pretty good.The alignment guy[dude with one eye] however is completely useless. Spent 6hrs here over two days. The first day he couldnt get my alignment done right. My car was running slightly left, when he was done it was pulling right hard and my steering wheel was off centre. I gave him three opportunities between test drives to correct it and he literally eyeballed it each time.On the second day I let the manager test it and he confirmed the issue. After the first attempt to fix it failed I had the owner test it and while testing he proceeded to make a ton of excuses, telling me that road surface affects the drive and so on. I then had the owner take the car on the highway with me on board. He tried to trick me by only letting go off the steering wheel for a second or two each time. After advising him that I know a lot more about cars than he assumed I switched seats and took him for a drive.I let go of the wheel in the extreme left lane at 100km/h and allowed the car to pull across four lanes into the extreme right lane. The owner was so afraid he actually attempted to grab the steering wheel and straighten the car out. I assured him that I knew what I was doing and was just trying to prove my point.Needless to say, he was convinced and then gave my car his full attention until the alignment was almost 100%I will go back here for those small tasks but never again for alignment, at least not while they have the current alignment guy working there.

Morris has helped me earier this year with my front shocks. Today Im back for my front discs and brake pads for my Renault Megane 2 CC. Hes charging me R600 for fitment of my part, I purchased them from Autozone. Original Ate brake pads and femo brake discs

So today I went to Hi-Q wynberg to get my Control Arms, Front Shocks and Stabiliser links put on my car.. I bought all the parts which were brand new parts. After the installation I drove on the highway for a while and noticed a knocking sound when turning the wheel at slow speeds. I took the car into Speedys to investigate the noise which they showed me to be a stripped tie rod end, with two bolts on it instead of the usual one bolt. It was loose and on investigation completely stripped. I watched them undo the tie rod ends in the Hi-Q shop while fitting the shocks and control arms. Why did they not mention that they stripped the Tie-rod threading? Do they not realise the danger that comes with that? Very Disappointed!! Extrmely dangerous, dishonest! 500 Rand fix now for new tie rod and Im going to need the car realigned again! So much for being RMI accredited!

Phoned on Tuesday morning for a price on a Tyre and said i would be phoned back, Friday and still nothing! Ending up going to Tiger Wheel & Tyre and received the best price with the best service!
