What you are doing is wrong you cant increase our premium twice a year without increasing our benefit we are going through tough time we cant afford. This is unprofessional. We dont have jobs and we are trying to protect our loved ones, i think there are better insurance company than this
Takes too long to respond to a claim, but too fast to debit money. What a horrible experience with Hollard.
Worst customer service, terribly run. Ive waited for 1.5 years and they still havent covered my claim. They do no respond to my emails and the hold time on the phone is long and pointless. Nothing gets taken care of. This is definitely not a company worth using for insurance.
THIS INSURANCE COMPANY WILL GO OUT OF THEIR WAY NOT TO PAY THE CLAIMS. I HAD THE MOST ORRIFIC EXPERIENCE , AFTER A MOTORBIKE ACCIDENT THAT NEARLY COST ME MY LIFE THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE DAMAGES TO MY MOTORBIKE .AFTER 3 MONTHS OF BEGGINING AND PLEADING I GOT PAID 50% OF THE COST OF THE REPAIRS.I WILL CHANGE INSURANCE COMPANY AS FROM NEXT WEEK

A really affordable insurance company
My dad passed away on the 22nd of June 2021. My mum has being paying for her policy for over 6 years. She is a pensioner so I am assisting in claiming for my dads funeral cover. Hollard repeatedly cuts calls after making you hold on for over 5 mins at a time. I have call logs that show over 7 calls alone for today to hollard and each and every time the call was cut by the incompetent consultant. Today is the 5th of July 2021 and my mum has still nit recieved any information regarding her claim. Pathetic service.

I dropped someone off at the place.The building outside is clean and neat. Security good and friendly. Building inside was corporate, very clean and classy.Receptionist friendly.I just needed to use the ladies. They have a unisex toilet. First time using a toilet where a man was using the next cubicle. Was very uncomfortable.

An amazing building , with ever green and fresh materials - a great mix of natural materials. Great interior design and I never thought purple could look cool except seeing lots of it in Durban amongst the Hindu believers and for those who believe it represents royalty.The art collection is jaw dropping. So much support for SA artists. The Creative Block (www.creative block.co.za) is a great idea and much needed by artists.I managed to secure three creative art blocks by Nkosinathi Quwe art pieces and Shakes Tembani. Both amazing artists.Such a great building with great art ... I can spend an entire day and night and not be bored.

Im very disappointed with Hollard I submitted a funeral claim on the 1st of July to date I have not been paid out. I have been calling them to find out about the claim and they tell me all the time that they are escalating the claim.
The architecture at this place is amazing, the symmetrical lines were joined seamlessly. Not sure about their products offering although I figure its insurance isnt it that the risk is weighed against the benefits which is all quantified into period and price, the rest would be the efficiency and their effectiveness of their admin

I had Hollard as my vehicle insurer for more than 5 years and got into an accident that was not my fault and the vehicle got written off. It took Hollard more than 2 months to finalize my claim with me having to phone them constantly get updated. Every time it was a different story. So getting to part where I try to claim my claim excess back from the other party... 2 years of me having to contact them, with many promises of them going to keep me informed. Finally after me contacting them again I was informed that they will need more witness (one would have assumed that they would contact me if they needed it) statements and they will send me a form, which I never got. Now I get communication from them after 2 months of constant emails to them that they view the matter as settled as all avenues as exhausted. I cant get to they other person as they have emigrated and since Hollard has not given it any attention in a timely mannner. My advice to anyone is not to touch them even with a bio-hazard suit!
I went in to the premises at oxford road, to update my policy info. Very professional. and they have more than one person at reception so you dont need to wait too long to be attended.

I have been trying to get hold of the call center for 2 weeks to no avail. I have sent an email and no response. And they hold my funeral plans....just imagine.
I’ve been trying to reach Hollard regent department for over six months now and I still haven’t won. I been calling but every time they say they put me through I just can’t reach this department, I tried emailing but no one got back to me. I’m trying to enquire about an amount money they are debiting that I’m not aware of but I still have no answers. I tried reversing the money so that at least they would call and they can finally clarify what is the money for but still nothing. This is my last attempt before I drive from Mpumalanga to Hollard’s head office. I hope they’d respond this time 🤦♀️
Unbelievable! I have never witnessed anything like this in my life before. My friend drives a company car. Company opened here in SA in 2008. Purchased insurance through Regent and has subsequently been taken over by Hollard. NEVER CLAIMED. Worked it out, they have made over R285k on premiums. Currently pays R2600 pm for a Mercedes 2008 model. Total rip off. She was parked in a parking lot about 2 weeks ago and someone side swiped her. No witnesses. Hit & run. What she is currently going through to get them to pay the claim is a nightmare. DON’T SIGN UP WITH HOLLARD. RATHER WALK.

Reason why this company can have fancy buildings in fancy neighborhoods is that they WILL NOT pay you out if you have a claim. They will go through a claim in fine fine detail and make sure that they find a reason not to reimburse you. They have a whole department of really clever people to make sure of this.Client of theirs be warned.....

This company has now caused for Edgars to list me but I have sent our insurance policy claim for loss of income in August and september and have followed up with Edgars and hollard. I will now take this further. YOU and your agents do not know how customer service works. Your agents refuse to refer me to a manager and are rude, proper work from home attitude... probably watching netflix since your customers arent getting serviced

10 rotten tomatoes to Hollard for poor service, lack of attention to detail and cancelling a 6 year running top policy because of a banking bungle. Now they tell us we must commence rewriting and insuring from scratch for 3 cars on a policy that supposedly expired a day ago due to none payment of a single debit order which is explainable. No consideration whatsoever for the commitment and business given to them for 6 years non stop. Companies can be so short sighted it’s unbelievable. Not all policies and processes apply in blanket form to all situations. Super annoyed and do not recommend them to anyone.

If you happen to go to the Hollard Campus in Parktown for what so ever reason then please note: The only way to get to the campus when coming on the highway is via Oxford Road is to drive past the campus until you come to a break in the island to turn right. There is clear signage showing you the way, so not to worry about not finding the entrance. Also, have a valid drivers license when entering the booms for Security to scan. Security is tight and efficient, so dont be rude or offish towards them, they are only doing their job. Please note that Florence House has its own entrance to the rest of the campus which is accessible from the Oxford Road entrance. Hollard over all is located at a beautiful historic site in Parktown, with lovely gardens and settings. Each House has its own theme and decor which, when time allows is worth the look. Its a busy place with thousands of people working there, so be sure to know exactly who you are going to see - Name and Surname of the person and preferably in which house they are working in.

The share call number I used to call is absolutely frustrating. It loops around to the same introduction before you eventually get to speak to someone. I left a message for claims person to call me, a Donovan, more than an hour later, I had to call back only to hear that Donovan was not taking calls and would call me after 12:00. My car is still at the workshop, waiting for them to give the go-ahead.Complete waste of monthly premiums!Totally useless and inefficient.Rather stick to the more professional companies like Sanlam, etc.Would never, ever, ever, ever recommend !!!!Stay away, youve been warned!!!
