The customer service is pathetic, went there with Hubby on Saturday 16/10/2021, we went to the showroom for new cars, for the past 10 minutes there was no one to offer assistance, there were 2 guys that just looked at us. so i called in to log a complain but all the manages were not at work. this is not good. no customer service at all. so disappointed.
Parts department is not very customer centric. Waiting for a part that is supposedly coming from Kempton part for two weeks is just not acceptable. Having to go back and forth to check on it because no one from the department reaches out even after you have made full payment is disappointing.
Nicole Matticks was a star in assisting me in my purchase of a T-Cross. She explained the whole administrative process and supported a good trade-in price for my previous vehicle. Thanks Nicole!

Very poor service from Mr Leon Chetty an team.Took my car in for a service on 3rd July 2021 an honestly it was less than pleasant. Did not check my vehicle as proper as promised and my vehicle came back with dirty finger prints. When Mr Leon Chetty contacted me he pushed blame towards me saying it was my fault.

Bought my car here , takes 2weeks to order my parts and once installed they did not do it properly, when they registered my car they accidentally registered to other customer , they asked me to take it to roadworthy for them as they didnt have a driver or time , takes me almost 3hours to do it , and once everything is done they never replaced my number plates i had to tell them and they did it , dont believe that they checked everything they say , 1 star as they gave me new tires for the vehicle , they have all my details if someone needs to contact me about this rewiew . I know the parts were wrong installed as i took it to a different vw garage and paid for something that shouldve been right .. very disappointing...

Careful with them as apparently I was overcharged on my service. So if you dont know much about cars or prices dont send your vehicle here.
My car went in for a service 26/06/2020, I was then called and told that my cars battery was experiencing issues. This was very worrisome as my car had no issues with the battery prior to this service and that my car is just over one year old. Only then to be called an hour later to tell me they contacted the wrong customer and my car was fine. Then when I went to collect my car they still joked about it.
As always, fantastic service received from the entire team there.

I bought a T cross end of June which is suppose to come standard with a data plug. the salesman said they didnt have they will call me once they have it 6 months later I still dont have it and if I ask he says he doesnt know when they will have it . I am truly disappointed at VW Edenvale.

Excellent service from them, they are really helpful and do try to get you the best deal possible, with saying that I unfortunately had a few setbacks. Every time the vehicle came back from the panel beater there was a problem. I had to constantly phone them and try get things sorted. When buying my vehicle a few things were missing, my roadside triangle, lighter and the antenna. First paint job was half a job and I had to point it out NOT the dealer. The front logo was also broken after it came back from the panel beater. It started good and ended bad.

Visited the branch a while ago and was really let down by the service. (in comparison to other dealerships we visited on the day) The salesperson wasnt really helpful and it felt like he treated us like we couldnt afford the vechiles. Salesperson promised to phone us back (after taking our details), and the fact that he never contacted my fiancé or myself only reaffirms the latter. Its such a pitty because out of all the vehicles we went to look at on the day I was really keen on the VW. The other dealers in the surrounding area had much more informative and friendly staff who took us for a test drive etc. Hopefully in this instance the guy was just having a bad day. Who knows?Ive always loved VW and will definitely be looking at more models in the near future.... Just not at this branch. :(
In my experience the level of service from VW dealerships in Johannesburg varies. Lindsay Saker Edenvale is in my view doing pretty well: Very helpful and friendly technicians in the service department. Cant fault them.
The service is good even though I was refused pick up at my home.. I HAD TO BE DRIVEN TO A CONVENIENT LOCATION.. AS IT WAS CLAIMED IM OUTSIDE THEIR LIMITED KM FOR PICK UPS AND DROP OFFS, SUPRISINGLY THEIR DRIVER TOLD ME HE PICKS UP PEOPLE AT ESKOM...AND HE IS GOING THERE AGAIN ON THE SAME DAY.. WHICH BY THE WAY US IS A STONE THROW AWAY FROM MY HOUSE..

My wifes vehicle went to VW Greenstone for a service (13 August 2019) and was contacted by a lady with regards to a stone chip on the vehicles windscreen. My wife was told that their would be no charge to her but would need to phone our short term insurance company and speak to a specific person to get the authorization. My wife did this and received an sms with a reference number and the stone chip was repaired. Not more than 3 weeks later my wifes car was back at VW because of an issue that could not be resolved during the service and the same lady contacted my wife to say that there were more stone chips on the vehicles windscreen. This is when my wife realized that something was not right as the car had no additional chips in the windscreen. Just to add salt to the wound, I received my annual claims history from my short term insurer and noticed that this lady (not sure which company she works for) through VW Greenstone had claimed an amount of R 3,737.50 for the stone chip. I dont want to point fingers but surely a stone chip repair with labour cannot cost more than R 1000.00 to repair. I feel that an investigation needs to take place into what claims these people are putting through on customers insurance policys.

So I especially booked for service and VALET on 21 September 2018 since Lindsay Saker Edenvale could supply both withing my location. Only to find out at the collection of my car that there was no valet car wash done. Even normal car wash was not even done, car was still not vacuumed and dashboard cleaned. Only excuse I got from service consultant ON COLLECTION OF MY CAR IS that the guy working at valet left early that he had family emergency. Why was I not notified at the time family emergency occurred? It was my first and last time taking my car there! I am even uncertain that was the service done properly as well?
I have been using this dealership since its inception in greenstone. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service is second to none. They greet you by your name and make you feel welcome in their business. Looking forward to dealing with them for the foreseable future.

Walked into Lindsay Saker Stoneridge today. Didnt get any service. When we prompted one of the ladies to stamp our gate pass she asked if we were helped and we said no. Her response was ok. She stamped our pass and we left. On our way out the security guard was friendly enough to say goodbye and have a nice Christmas. Really disappointing service.

I used to enjoy the excellent service received from Lindsay Saker Edenvale, however lately I have been less than impressed.Our rearview camera on our Amarok is once again not working. We had it replaced less than 3 months ago. It is currently being looked into.Now all of a sudden (not three days after my fiancè brought it in for the camera complaint) a part in the ignition is broken and when asked how this could have happened, my fiancé was met with, (am paraphrasing) well thats just the way it is and bring the car back on Monday.Now I am sorry, when a customer enquires as to how a part could have broken, your answer should be accurate and professional. If you do not know the answer, find out, and give the customer a call that very same day, preferably within the hour.The service from VW Lindsay Saker has gradually gotten worse as time has gone on.I am very disappointed, as I used to rave about how wonderful VW Lindsay Saker Edenvale was. Wont be raving or recommending their service department any time soon.
