If you are going to fly with an airline in South Africa, I definitely recommend Airlink. My family only uses them when flying domestically because they are reliable, professional and will assist you with any queries.I wouldnt waste my time struggling with another airline.

Airlink is my first choice! Unless you are a daily commuter, most times booking a flight is one of the pleasures of life! Call me old school, but I prefer being treated like a valued customer rather than a buddy. The staff have only ever been very friendly, professional and helpful. The planes are always clean, schedules are kept and sure is a pleasure flying with Airlink.

Airlink is also our first choice. Travelled with 4z601 yesterday 30-07-2021and the service was excellent. The cabin crew members were friendly and professional. The Embraer 170 was quiet (much more so than the noisy and uncomfortable B737 aircraft of other service providers) and fast, making for a relaxing flight.

Had a smooth flight. The plane was clean and well looked after (inside out). Friendly staff. They even served a meal and drinks at no extra cost. Cant say the same of their competitors.

Worst service today, booked flight for a unaccompanied minor (10 years old), arrived at OR Tambo 2hours before checkin, had all the necessary documentation but was delayed by the airline staff to fill health questionnaires, my brother was then checked in but left by the flight and they did not bother to communicate as to what transpired instead they are saying we arrived late and should have been at the airport 3hours before.

Booking During COVID - WarningI was aware that there was a risk that my flight may be cancelled due to lower demand for certain routes. I took the risk and paid a premium for a direct route, Cape Town - Maun. The flight was in fact cancelled and instead of a 2,5 hour direct flight, I had to go past JHB, the 2 flights and lay over was increased to 6 hours and less advantageous time - early morning out and late night back. I was aware that this was a risk and accepted this change.WARNING - what I was not aware of was that in the time of COVID, this is considered Force Majeure and the normal cancellation fees apply. Therefore the premium I paid to go direct was taken by Airlink and not refunded. I could have avoided the additional cost had I not accepted the risk.My advice is to stick to the main routes and not pay the premium for direct routes. (Go past JHB).When I pointed out that it was Airlink’s decision to cancel the flight due to lack of demand (which I understand), they threw the t’s and c’s at me and said it was Force Majeure due to COVID (which I don’t understand). I believe that they didn’t behave ethically in this instance as it was their decision to cancel.MY ADVICE - think carefully before you choose your route and don’t trust that you’ll get the difference in cost back from Airlink.

Me and my husband recently flew from Durban to OR with airlink, and wow far exceeded my expectations! Their complementary sandwiches were actually delicious and the plane has a lot of leg space. Air hostesses were friendly and helpful. I will always travel with Airlink, going forward!

Unacceptable service delivery at Air Link Kimberley Air port. I booked a ticket telephonically and they advised me that they will be open on Sunday at 14:00 to pay the ticket. When I arrived there at 14:00 nobody was there and the air port staff told me they will only be there at 17:00. I told them I had to start working at 17:00 and wont be able to pay the ticket at 17:00. They said they will email me a reference number to pay the ticket at any Checkers or Pick n Pay. Went to Checkers and Pick n Pay and they told me it was an unacceptable reference, they would not be able to accept it but they will be able to do a new booking for R600 more. Back to the air port on Monday morning. There were three attendants in the kiosk with only one customer in front of me in the queue and still I have waited 40 minutes to get assistance.

Airlink head office is in an office park, so has a controlled access gate. Parking is available at the building which is modern and immaculately neat. Access to the building is controlled by the receptionists, and visitors are collected at reception. Covid precautions are in place with sanitizer at the door and screens and masks in use. This building is typical of a successful company headquarters.
