When a large Airways company like Qatar Airways gets simple COVID regulations TOTALLY wrong, it is laughable.Some advise: When a specific government (Italy), states that negative COVID test report for both PCR and antigen swabs are accepted, please understand that it does NOT mean that both are required. Huge difference. What is the purpose of obtaining an additional antigen test, if a negative Lancet PCR test report was already obtained only a few hours prior to the flight?

Booked a flight for 3 staff.Two were able to fly no problem.The Third however was detained by immigration for documentation irregularities.We tried to rebook with Qatar and pay in the difference but Qatar responded we do not take deportees.We had to buy a new ticket with Ethiopian Airlines.Another issue, traveller paid R1900.00 for excess luggage but never travelled. Surely this should be refunded.

This airline has bad customer service, if you have not booked your flight, and think that after booking you might be needing some kind of phone call or email assistance, then, this airline is not for you. Just look elsewhere.

We received an automated email notification that our flight has changedWe originally booked to fly: JNB at 19:20 and arrive at DOH at 05:15, before departing at 07:15 for our final destinationThe new flight forced us to fly: JNB at 13:10 and arrive at 23:05, before departing at 07:15We have a baby traveling with us, which makes It totally unacceptable to stay at the airport for 8 hours for the whole night and taking into account the associated COVID risk of such a public placeWe visited the offices at JNB Design Quarter, where the help desk employee and his lady manager informed us that due to COVID it is impossible to get a hotel room as we are entitled, according to the EUROPEAN passenger rights.This proved to be a blatant lie since we checked online and the hotels in the DOHA airport are fully operational and we can book a room for this date.Based on the misinformation we where forced to alter our booking for the next day.The flight change was enforced by Qatar, and WE have to pay all the penalties for car&hotel rebooking at our destination plus the costs to repeat our COVID tests and the reduced holidays.This airline is cheating and lying to people in order to reduce the costs.I do not know why our flight was cancelled (maybe not enough bookings??) BUT at least they could have provided a hotel room or some other compensation for the inconvenience they caused.

Call centre is very unhelpful - they are more concerned with me committing to a flight than to update me on Covid-19 travel regulations. When I asked to be transferred to someone who could better help me, the lady helping me just said that she was the one helping me. When I asked about regulations again, she hung up the phone. Bad customer service.

Very disappointing customer service received from your Durban branch. The consultant that assisted me was so rude when I tried to find out more information about flights due to Covid-19. I wont bother booking a flight with Qatar if staff get irritated when having to assist customers. Its not acceptable.

Horrible experience with Qatar Airways, 3 flight cancellations in 2 months during tough time’s. Worst off is that let you know the morning before the flight or don’t let you know at all. The flight booking on the app disappeared multiple times. No one had a good answer when trying to resolve things. The plane had a broken charging port and the headset didn’t work on my screen. I would not recommend this airline at all.

I had won a free flight for being a frontline worker.Flight got cancelled and suddenly the service fees and taxes where as much as a standard flight.Shame on you qatar airways

The place was like any other office.Honestly I dont think there was anything wrong to it, but Emirates has set the standards higher.The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful eventhough the service was rather slow.Understanding the current situation of the covid 19 pandemic and the international lockdown, I still did expect more from Qatar Airways especially since they have been boasting on their social media recently of their award winning services 2020.I was rather disappointed to the fact that the tickets were literally 3 times more than the usual ticket, however they were yet to even apologise about their cancellations.When we try to phone them, they are always unreachable.Their social media page is not responsive.Note: Qatar Airways charges a service fee if you purchase tickets from their office. Should be 350 or 500 rands.

Sq1364. Date 12.12.19 delay 3h pax had to wait inside the aircraft. Then still delay ..... until 5 and qatar decided to book room for us in airport hotel (city lodge). The delay no body want but the way qatar they solved the poblems were terrible. Untill now 21:00 we still standing on the quee to wait for the room.
