Very beautiful and interesting food is great milkshakes were some of the best But the service was poor we were given a table but no menus we waited 15min until i asked for a menu which was very short and had no beverages on after our meal we ordered drinks which took a good 20 min to come waiter did apologize but i feel that they forget about the customer this was a quiet day i dont even what to see what the service is like on a busy day. Then their parking space is a bit tricky if you drive a low vehicle sevral cars scraped their bumpers while we were there. Food is A+ Service C - Parking B

Such a lovely place to have a nice breakfast or lunch. We liked our breakfast so much that we went for breakfast again the next day. They do have several choices of coffee, like the regular cappuchino but for example flat white as well. I ordered a dish that normally comes with bacon but because I am a vegetarian I asked them to leave out the bacon. They made me some very good baked bananas instead. Love it! There is a shop in the restaurant as well, its very nice as well. You can buy some nice souvenirs over there! And... the stuff is very very friendly!

My absolute favorite eatery. This place is a real treat with homemade confectionery and traditional dishes true to our heritage. The best part is the prices. Excellent value for money. This is a get together or family and friends. I just love Gisters!!!

Wow wow wow!!Now this is THE best lunch we have had in some time! Fantastic is all we have to say. Its well woth a visit when you are in town.We had the Lamb rib lunch special and it was worth every cent.

Very cute little eatery and if you are from South Africa, the food has a sense of nostalgia...here you can still get things like samp and roosterkoek and melktert and even offal for the brave. Good cappucino and tasty chips. Cute giftshop as well.

Incredible restaurant with delicious food. They have all the old favorites you would never get anywhere else. The are super affordable. Not to mention their cakes !! Amazing. Unfortunate incident with manager making my wife feel like a criminal, after taking a chair from a empty table to sit on after we asked the waiter permission.

This place has a lot of traditional foods. My favorite is the baked milktart... Truly just like my grandmother used to make it!

Food is good - relative to the size of my serving of bacon compared to other servings at the table. Service is not friendly and really slow. Waiting time is indicated to 35 - 45 minutes. Too many tables or too small kitchen. Also @ R18 for a small tin of cooldrink; expensive. Not worth the wait for a seat or the wait for the food.

Delicious plate of traditional South African food served piping hot.... Huge portions. Always a good choice no matter what you eat.

I used to love Gisters. It is a quirky coffee shop and has interesting items for sale, but the last few times I visited I found the quality of the meals not to be the same as in the beginning.

Good home style meals in rustic setting. It also shares the premises with Die Kospot a well know and busy take away spot that makes delicious and well priced home cooked meals. Try their curries on Saturdays and their Sunday lunches. Mmmmmm.

I had the pasta alfredo yesterday at brunch (5 January 2019) and it gave me food poisoning. 30 minutes after I finished it, I started feeling uncomfortable and and hour later I started getting the symptoms. I didnt eat anything else the rest of the day because of how I felt and because of what happens when you have food poisoning. The service was really bad as well. There were about 10 waiters and not one of them were serving tables, they were all inside the shop. We waited for our drinks for 20 minutes before my mom got up and asked where our drinks were, we then waited another 10 minutes and when my mom asked for the second time, they finally brought our drinks (we were only 3 at the table).

Best fish and chips in Jeffreys Bay next door, same owners, walk thru to Gisters, its a wonderland of gifts and curios. Newly decorated tea room with womderful cakes and much more, I go there quite often for an enjoyable meal, known by locals, tourists have to discover it, 110 Da Gamma Rd. Its worth the visit.
