Pezulu Tree House Lodge is a place of tranquility and peace. The staff, special mention to Robert and Sam for their amazing hospitality and going the extra mile to make us feel special. They catered so well to all our food requirements. I will definitely recommend that one visits this amazing place, if you are looking at distressing and running away from your everyday hustle and bustle.

The trip to the resort is an adventure but when you get there you will find a little piece of paradise in the middle of the jungle. You will be surrounded with everything nature has to offer. The location is so nice and peacefull and the tree houses are everything you could want from a tree house, including luxury. Great kitchen. The staff should be proud of their hospitality, service and personality . Highly recommanded.

Pezulu is an absolute bliss - the place has different tree lodges for anyone there is a honeymoon suite and a family one too.Pezulu puts you in an area where you are surrounded by wildlife the incredible creatures roam around and you can even see them from your balcony. The lodge also has a few activities you can do. I highly recommend doing the green hike into the canyon. There is crystal clear waters and an unforgettable scenery!!The people who work at pezulu are sincere, genuine and they make the experience overall quite enjoyable.

The few nice things to say about this place is that it has a unique location and the wild life outside your door is phenomenal. Also their guides are fantastic. But there’s a lot of thing we didn’t like about this place.First of all, the tree houses are old, we had a tarpaulin on some of our roof - just fix it. Also we’d expected the tree houses to be a bit more luxurious because of the high price, but they’re not. Toilet is old, sink is old, the inside is old, the mosquito nets are old, we really think some of these houses needs a big renovation. It wouldn’t take much to have them up to date. Also you really live in a tree with bugs and animals crawling in. We had a squirrel running around while we were napping and beetles at night. If you’re a bit touchy about insects and other crawling things don’t book this. We were surprised to see how easy spiders, snakes and other insects could just crawl right in.Another thing that was really bad is their food. Especially their lunch is horrible. We had a chicken salad and a wrap and it was the worst food we’ve had in our vacation in South Africa. Very bad quality and soaked in a greasy dressing. The dinner was better but far from the standard you would expect. The service from the two employed guides was awesome but the welcome from the owner or other staff was very bad or not existingThis is just to put in perspective that now we are staying at a lodge 30 min from Pezulu at HALF the price and the service here is phenomenal, the food is fantastic, it’s clean, it’s up to date, there’s WiFi, there’s a real pool that’s not just a dirty dam with frogs in it, there’s a spa there’s everything you would expect when you book a place like Pezulu maybe should’ve been or once has been many years ago.We won’t come back. Only for the guided tours and the bush life but Pezulu really needs to get up to speed and start renovating and look into new ways of cooking and how to service their guests.

Pezulu Tree House Lodge is amazing! The lodge is in the bush, surrounded by giraffes, kudus, impalas, and zebras. It is a peaceful retreat. The staff is equally friendly and the food is incredible. My family and I love this place and will make it an mandatory stop on our future trips to South Africa.

Each treehouse is isolated enough to give you a sense of privacy, but close enough to the reception area to be able to walk there for dinner. The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The road is a little rough, so a 4x4 would be ideal, but a sedan is able to make it as well.

Its a beautiful place and animals come very close to the tree house. Many time we had no water and wifi is available at the lobby. Morning game drive is amazing, however dont go to the night drive. All animals are ofc all as sleep or hiding. Furthermore, this was all ruined after we have been given the bill and prices (key chain, oil, souvenirs) was different (much higher) however they kept insisting which has ruined the fun after. 4 days are enough.

Absolutely loved our stay at Pezulu. It was an incredible getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city (JHB). We bought a daddy day deal then were lucky enough to have been upgraded to one of the luxury units. If you going to visit and really want to make the most of your stay then definitely go for the luxury units because the standard treehouses are about a meter off the ground whereas the luxury units are +/- 6m in the air.The staff were all super friendly and really made you feel at home. The only thing we didnt particularly enjoy was the communal dining as we probably would prefer to do self catering or have private dining areas. And if you want to do any activities in the Pezulu reserve (bush walks, night drives) then you need to have a guide and pay for the activity. This is definitely aimed at tourists which is great because the foreigners will have the money. But if you a Saffa and you dont want to sit in your treehouse all day and night then prepare to spend a few hundred on activities :)

We spent four nights at this incredibly beautiful treehouse lodge, located literally in the middle of nowhere..but close to KrΓΌger park. :-) Food was fantastic and traditionally served with lots of athmosphere outside in the bush.Vaughn, Michelle and their team are very friendly, easy going people. We enjoyed having a drink together, hearing their stories.Giraffes and other animals were walking by, looking inside our treehouse. The showers are in the tree, outside, what an experience! We wanted to stay longer, felt like at home... Thank you!

We were in Pezulu a few years ago. Unfortunately, the quality has fallen sharply. According to the requested prices, the standard of the houses, the infrastructure and the quality of the food is too low. Sure, the tree houses are original, but the facilities, beds, and related services are in need of renovation or correction. The staff is very helpful and attentive. The management of the lodge is correct and does everything to satisfy the guests. For example we booked a day game drive in the Kruger over the lodge. However, this was undiskutabel poorly managed. Pick up at the lodge 30 minutes late. Then the guide phoned more with his other colleagues than explaining the flora and fauna of the Kruger. The game drive resembled a Game Race after the Big 5. After our complaint in the lodge the price of the day trip was massively reduced. - OK.Nevertheless: Pezulu is m. Opinion too expensive for what you get. For the same price, or even less, we visited other, excellent 5 * lodges in later days. (Pakmisa Lodge)We will not (unfortunately) return to Pezulu again.

Like the safari, the Tree House is one of our highlights of our tour of South Africa. It is indescribably beautiful to be in the middle of nature and to look giraffes in the eye in the morning. Our tree house was very clean and is lovingly decorated. Also a big compliment to the cooks. Our ranger, who accompanied us at the Gamewalks, was very nice and tried to see many animals with us. With the boss of the house we spent a nice evening at the bar. But beware, hes a little slutty πŸ˜‰. He invited us to try some good droplets from his collection of spirits. On the bill, we found them all again. Nevertheless we recommend the Pezulu Tree House Lodge.

Super. In contrast to other lodges in the area, also reasonably affordable. There are no cats, elephants or rhinos in the reserve. But zebras, giraffes and impala. These we have also seen from our tree house at a water hole. Breakfast and dinner, which was really good, is in the main building 150m away, where the reception is to be found. There is no heating. We were in the tree house in mid-May, but did not freeze at night. Wi-Fi is only in the main building. Game Drives (even with the Big 5) can be booked directly at the property. The property may be difficult to find without Google Maps. You have to drive from the main road from 30min a gravel road.
