Great experience with the spa. Vutomi gives a great massage. The place was very quiet on our visit and surroundings needs some cleaning.

Bad customer service at AM Lodge.After our terrible stay at AM Lodge I spoke on the phone with Hannes Du Preez the head of marketing.He said that he will check all the issues that I mentioned on my last review and he promised to get back to me, but he didn’t.The only time that he responded to me is few months later because I wrote a bad review on Trip Advisor. (He had my email address and my SA phone number).They charged us R 40,000 for a room with a toilet that we couldn’t use, broken windows and blinds that we couldn’t open, a noise that coming from the pool so we couldn’t sleep at night, and we couldn’t see the big 5 animals because the lodge operational problems.Hannes, this is not away for doing business. You should get back to me with a compensation.

The culinary experience was really disappointing considering how much the place costs. Breakfast was the same for the 2 days we were there and it was just basic, nothing special. Lunch I had a tasteless and dry “chicken burger”. I had to ask for hot sauce to at least have a bit of flavour. I kept adding salt and pepper too, it was that bad. Dinner was usually better but still very basic and not what you would expect from a five star.The biggest problem here is that there isn’t even variety with the food so because we didn’t like the food were just starving most of the time.The rooms are really nice. They are beautiful you feel really comfortable but the standard is not matched when it comes to dining.The game drive was a bit disappointing because there isn’t much to see. I went to three game drives and all we saw was giraffes, Buffalos and impalas. They said there’s only 3 lions in the entire concession so imagine going for a game drive looking for 3 lions.The ranger and the tracker were very nice, they really made the situation bearable.

The whole experience felt like a dream. The staff was amazing and tried to meet up with our every need(they made it seem effordless😂). The game drive was AWESOME, the spa was AWESOME and the food was out of this world. Its a BEAUTIFUL PLACE to visit.

The stay was a dream come true... Everything was beyond beautiful.

The staff, the rangers, the spa and the tranquility.. all out of this world. Our private chef made sure that she makes breakfast different everyday. The finishes and all oh wow!! The game drive was excellent, managed to see almost all the animals including the lions(Gustav and his partner), we continued to see more as we relaxed around the pool at our Villa. The bush walk was another experience with all the bush games and tracking 101 that we got. My family had a good time. Will do it over and over...Keep up the good work AM Luxury team.

The greatest investment that AM has is their staff. They are phenomenal, from reservation to checkout. Hannes assisted willingly and timeously prior to our stay. On arrival, we were met by Eunice at the gate, she had a bright smile and was very welcoming.Ntsako, who was equally warm & receptive, received us at reception to get us checked in. Vusie and Albert tended to our transportation needs within the lodge. They also took us on our game drive and they were informative and helpful.The food is lovely and the kitchen staff is equally helpful and attentive.The experience was memorable, the staff made our stay comfortable. Our enquiries were attended to timeously, with care and bright smiles.The rooms need upgrades and maintainance. They are decorated with bold pieces and dark furniture which works well but some items need to be upholstered/replaced. There are blinds and curtains on every window, creating very dark spaces. More natural lighting,  new & light roman blinds + replacing all curtains with automated screens would do the spaces some good. It can definitely be much cleaner as well and the outdoor furniture needs some love.We received a complimentary room upgrade and the views + added features were phenomenal. Overall, our stay was good.

Beautiful place

I called AM Spa to make a booking for my lovely Mother because its her birthday tomorrow and I must say that I recieved bad services from you guys not only bad Telephone etiquette from Vutomi but also the fact that Nobody got back to me after I called you guys twice to follow up on why am I not being called back, That was very Distasteful because I could have made other Alternatives by checking other SPAs, thank you for wasting my time.

This is a well established lodge. Top of the range with outstanding services and in a quiet environment. You can never go wrong with this one,

This review is only of my Spa experience.It was an average massage, not sure of the training of the masseuse. By the end I just wanted it to be finished as it was not relieving any muscle tension. Facilities were very nice though, and if highly skilled staff were employed it would have rated better.

Looking good and interesting

Travelled with Family, everything about this place is just perfect. very knowledgeable staff, our guide and tracker were the best. Management on the floor at all times. The food was yummy too.i recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Kruger area.

We stayed at the AM Villa but had the flexibility to use the gym and facilities of the AM Lodge as well. Again the staff was amazingly accommodating and the service impeccable. The gym was impressively outfitted and a perfect balance to the phenomenal food we were continually enjoying. The safari team was 5 star showing us all the big 5 and educating our children in a fun and friendly way. A truly unforgettable experience.

I have only good things to say about our experience at the AM lodge.With fine attention to detail the staff were extremely polite, accommodating and gave us a different dining experience every night of our stay. The food was brilliant and every meal was cooked beautifully. The barkeep Suprise was very entertaining and Vussi and Kenny our safari guides brought us up close and personal with all of the big 5 while showing us a great time in between. On top of everything the gym was very open and broadly equipped, the masseuses at the spa were well versed in what they do and to finish the review our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this lodge to anyone looking to experience a getaway without any regrets.

We came family of 11 pepole they said that we can take two suites and the villa. no body tell us that the suite are around 25 minutes drive from the villa!!!they lie to me that we will be together! so all our expectation: to be all the family together, to do a fun together - this not happend! they told us that we must split . the worst thing was the treatment from the management- they dont listen us and not even try to help with our problem.i feel like the lie to me. i pay a lot of many and dont get the base that i expect from hotel - to be the family together. and again, the treatment from the management was the worst that i met.i must say that the stuff in the villa was amazing and do amazing work.

Fantastic, wonderful place, a unique experience, from safaris to hotel facilities, a place that will stay in my memory.

Im here for the third day. Its hard to describe how gorgeous everything is. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. There is nothing to be desired. Very clean, Food and wine great and the safari is really great.

My husband and I stayed at AM Lodge for a total of three nights. We had incredibly beautiful days not only because of the game drives but because of the entire AM Lodge team.Our room was really very nice, large and super clean. The outside shower is a dream.A big thank you to our guide Vusi, he made it possible for us to have great moments and see an incredible number of animals.There wasnt a game drive where we didnt see elephants, giraffes, kudu or the like. Of course we also saw lions, cheetahs, zebras, eagles, buffalo, antelopes and many more.Also a big thank you to Vusis colleague Kenny.We will definitely be back and can recommend AM Lodge to everyone.It may well be that there are a few bugs in the room, you should be prepared for that when you are in nature.We had no problems with mosquitoes at all.

Hard to describe how you can feel at this place. We came to Africa for the first time and went on a safari. The people are incredibly nice and do everything for a great stay. The lodge is a dream, we are two and have a lot of space, indoor as well as protected outdoor shower, separate living room, free-standing bath etc. twice a day there are tours in the wilderness with a guide and tracker can only wish and tell you a lot about flora and fauna. We had 2 days of rain, for the guides not an issue. The food is very European, well get ostrich fillet on request. The last evening (for us today) the staff will prepare the food in our temporary home. We are very grateful for the experience, come here, it is a dream.
