Had a great experience at ANEW Hotel in Hluhluwe while staying on holiday with the family. Their service is really good, the facilities are top quality and their prices are not bad at all...would definitely go back again. They also have a lot of signage which makes it easy to find them as you enter Hluhluwe. This hotel is child-friendly with a nice jungle gym setup, lots of open space for them to play and the team even provided colouring in books and crayons. Would highly suggest this hotel.

The hotel is full of vibe. My room was spacious and efficiently neat. Unfortunately the TV channels are not very satisfactory with a lack of sport channels. The parking area lacks lighting.

Food needs some attention, it lacks flavour and savoury. The burgers are a bit bland. The beverages are expensive for their size. This is just my personal experience. The surroundings are beautiful though, staff is friendly. Its just the food really.

Checked in on 18 Aug 2021 & checked out on 19 Aug 2021.Ups= Nice spacious rooms, great breakfast, spacious shower.Downs= stinking flooring, too man mosquitoes, staff not responsive (I asked for an iron at 18H00 and told it is on the way. At 22H30,I walked to the reception to get the iron. It was handed to me, no explanation of the delay and no apology.I was not impressed.

Rustic with a touch of modern settings. Very clean. Restaurant service was quick. Chef Sean was the best, he came up to the table to ask how we would like our meat prepared, awesome guy.. Took a walk with him around the premises, hotel is definitely worth a visit.

Check in to the Hotel was very efficient. Friendly Reception staff.Rooms are dated but comfortable. Painting and minor repairs required. Bar and Pool area very neat. Bar service and knowledge lacking. Not much control of the bills/orders. Service in pool area and A-la-carte lounge very poor and slow. Had to find own Menu and Wine list as there was no one person on duty. Never saw the Duty Manager at all the whole weekend! Was never asked if everything was in order. No professionalism from waitrons. Had to beg to be helped. Stay was comfortable but may not recommend unless you have all the time in the world.

The staff are very friendly and they are very dedicated to giving the guest the best possible experience.

Coming here the second time round I really got to have a different experience of the hotel... absolutely amazing, I just wish they had a spa on site.... absolutely loved it.

The service was great, worker were very friendly, always willing to go an extra mile to assist you. Rooms are clean but they need to add bar fridge, should you need cold water at night. And one or two rusks to take with the coffee.

Its a nice place but because of Covid is not nice at all. The food is terrible.

The hotel is a mini resort setup. It is very neat and modern. We did not stay here but visited the place to see what it has to offer. Pricing is expensive as no other place in the area is their level of competition. Will consider booking here in the future.

Awesome Services and more importantly the Staff are the best

We had a wonderful stay, friendly staff, a hands on GM Sadira. We stayed in one of the lovely spacious rondavels. Beautiful gardens, abundant bird and butterfly life. All our needs met with great bird watching and game drives organised.The a le carte menus had lots to choose from , what we had was delicious. The hotel is situated close to the many game parks and en route to Sodwana, Mozambique etc. The area has the most stunning fever trees you will be in awe.

Great Hotel with kids play areas, pool, bar, lovely lawns. Close to Hluhluwe Mfolozi Park and St Lucia, more than enough activities for the family!

Excellent service from the staff, especially the staff by the bar. Great food, really loved their pizza. The room was very clean. Great hotel, great environment and the vibe is good.

Ive been visiting Anew hotel since last year and Ive always received the best treatment. Their food is nice as well as their facilities.

Anew is an excellent hotel. We have stayed there twice and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and in good condition. The restaurant and pool area is stunning. Definitely recommended!

The place is quite good.. But the service is a bit slow... Not sure if I was just unlucky or it does happen much often... I had to wait for about 20min to get a waiter.. While there was only 3 tables in the whole shop.. But anyways the food is amazing.. I would go again 🙌

Great hotel! Best game drive of my life ! Staff was amazing, but be prepared to travel out for activities. They only have game drives that leave from the hotel.

A very special hotel that makes you feel very at home. We went to Hluhluwe park for a day and we got a very nice picnic basket that made our day very enjoyable. You ask and you get. What ever we ordered from the kitchen it was avaiable. With covid this does not allways happen at restaurants. Welldone keep your good standards up.

Game drives with the hotel are well priced and a must.4. Friendly staff that assisted with any problems I had.5. Neat and comfortable accommodation.Negatives:1. WiFi coverage isnt available in all rooms (I was moved between rooms and lost WiFi).2. WiFi does have limitations such as blocked streaming services (not a deal breaker though).3. Unfortunately, I never saw staff correct other guests not following Covid protocols. I understand not wanting to upset your guests, but signs arent enough for some people unfortunately.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a great experience in Hluhluwe. Special thanks to Sadira who handled any issues we had, with little inconvenience, to us during our stay.

Very very poor service. Greatly understaff. Our meal orders at the restaurant took well over an hour and a half. Food wasn’t good. It was really disappointing for the money we paid. The waiters do not receive the tip from the bill which is extremely inconsiderate!! Never going back again.

A better cleaning job can be done on the bedroom floor mat, handles of the washing basin & shower, a lot of Mosquitoes, and good food.

The garage right next to the hotel is a shame, dozens of taxis park there and blast music for the world to hear. Hluhluwe town is an absolute disgrace.Massive ant and fly problem, we lost most of our food on the first day. We where supplied with a tin of doom.Zulu dancing is nice, just not when it kicks off at 20h45 when you put your child too bed. Rather annoying.The day visitors are loud and messy and COMPLETELY take over which means us hotel paying guests are forced to sit in our rooms all day as the pool area is totally crowded.Will definitely not be back or recommend it.

We had a great experience and the Service was super great. From the Manager to service staff; Iyooooo we were treated with respect and definitely coming back.

Friendly staff...good vegetarian options and the chef prepared a special vegetarian breakfast at our request.

Lovely stay at the hotel , unfortunately it was lock down so the bar and restaurant was closed for sit down . Room was clean and spacious. Beautiful pool area . Did a morning game drive , the guy was very informative.

We didnt stay over at Anew Hotel but we had our supper there on our first night in Hluhluwe. Food is divine,we had buffet. Then we were entertained with Indlamu Zulu dance. It was a beautiful night. We also came back the following day because we had booked our game drive through the hotel. Very Friendly staff I must say.

We had an exceptional stay. The staff were polite and very accommodating as we had a few added requests. The rooms were neat and the facilities amazing. We had dinner at the hotels restaurant and it was lovely. I would definitely visit again!

One of the best Large Hotels with a Safari taste at Anew

We had a very warm welcome, the whole staff was awesome, I mean everyone. The place is beautiful and clean, we enjoyed the food and pool. We had a 4 months old baby and the stuff was very helpful, we were very much impressed. ❤️

Lovely revamp

Great location and access. We loved the food too. However our rooms were not properly clean.The carpet needed a basic vacuum as a person living with asthma I struggled . The situation went from bad to worse when the toilet started leaking in our room. I must say Dumi handled the “toilet” situation well and changed our room.My advice, please get vacuum cleaners for the housekeeping staff.Ask them to move the beds at least once a week, the dirt under those beds😞.

Surprising wonderful experience at this hotel. Staff where very friendly and food was really good. Great ambiance was created during the night with Zulu dancers and bond fires. Highly recommend this hotel if you are are visiting Hluhluwe.

The hotel room was filthy! I drove for over 6 hours, walked in the room, packed the car again and went back home. Under covid constraints we understand limited staff, but poor hygiene standards means our chances of getting infected is much higher. I have been coming to anew on a yearly basis, and they have dropped the ball big time! The bathtub has soap scum galore, toothpaste stains all over the mirror, carpets never washed or vacuumed for weeks, cigarette ash on the chairs, kettle was covered with mould and toilet hasnt even been washed! Even after washing it ourselves with handy Andy we couldnt shake off the feeling of disgust. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY!!!!!! We turned down a free night and just drove back home. Anew have ruined our long weekend stay and we are disgusted with their cleaning standards

Very nice restaurant

Its a really nice hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed and bedding were really comfortable.I would suggest to the hotel that they have a spa, I think it would be a great value add.The food at the hotel is really good, we only ate one meal there as we did find the prices quite expensive. For example, for 2 people for breakfast for 2 mornings cost R700. It was cheaper to eat breakfast at the wimpy near by.

Amazing place with amazing staff. Meals were great, surrounding is fantastic.Enjoyed their evening buffet with great friendly service from their staff.The staff go all out to help, making the hotel so friendly.You wont regret spending time here, you will get an experience of a lifetime

The hotel was very nice and service at the reception desk was outstanding. Love the paintings on the walls. The dinner menu was a bit limited in terms of options for vegetarians as was the puddings for those who do not like fruit.
