Friendly staff and great food. Animals were walking around freely and was a great site. Unfortunately there was no cellphone signal or reception but was a great stay

Very nice near Kruger park experience. Abundance of wildlife and the wonder throughout! I would recommend this reserve! Camp sites are neat and not cramped and ablution is clean. Excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed camping on bush campsite 18 with our own ablutions and wash up area, and discovering a place weve never been to before. You have to work hard to find the game but thats what makes it so rewarding. We self drove and a lot of the roads were tricky from all the rain and are not suitable for regular vehicles even on a normal day. There is the option to go on guided game drives though. All the staff we encountered, from the gate guard, to the cleaners, to the reception staff were very friendly and most helpful. We will definitely be back with friends in the future.

We loved the camping and the property. On Friday evening we found low or no pressure in the bathrooms. We contacted the 24 hour number and after 2 attempts a person answered.We were told that some elephants messed up the waterlines (acceptable and understood). We were promised that the water should be back soon. Saturday morning, still no water, at this point we just needed to shower. We went to reception but were told we would have to wait a bit longer. By the afternoon we went back to reception to ask for a key of a unit that has water - we had to ask, Bonamanzi did not offer!The keys were given, the evening when we wanted to shower there were other guests in the unit and we almost walked in on other guests sleeping. Eventually we received another units keys and could shower.We understand water issues, we understand that it might take time to resolve, but for the camping fee we paid (any of the Bonamanzi fees for that matter) we expected a bit more customer service and the situation could have been handled...

Great food & excellent service. Magic location.

We stayed there recently with some family. the park was OK but the rooms and service was really poor. The aircon was not working even after complaining and them sending a maintenence guy the problem was not sorted out. We had 30plus temps so couldnt sleep in the heat. Also the water was only on at certain times so couldnt even shower to cool off after game drives etc. No one came to clean the rooms while we were there. They ran out of coffee in the rooms, no sachets. the safe in the room didnt work.Overall the price we paid they should use the money to maintain the rooms. Will not go back there.

First time at Bonamanzi, to attend Karel & Biancas wedding Ceremony! We loved the relaxing atmosphere along with the wildlife animals all around you! We loved our rooms. We especially loved the breakfast that was served! Wow! Awesome time, and we will most definitely recommend this reserve & hopefully stay over again soon!

Awesome awesome ....staff super friendly and helpful...we had a faulty electrical box and they fixed it after 2 plan A s didnt work ..peacefull and the private ablutions per camp site were such a bonus ....and clean...will go there at the drop of a hat .

Wow, I loved the welcoming we received just after entering the gate from the giraffes. They were just strolling in front of the car like nobodys business. The park has great views and the atmosphere is really relaxing.I loved the chalets, they are beautiful and the meals were delicious. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. I enjoyed the sights of small game strolling all over the yard anytime of the day or night. I can always go back there whenever I get a chance. I strongly recommend Bonamanzi Game Park.

Pool is dirty. Place is dusty. Food is average. What was worst is that the front desk tried to charge me another R7000 when we checked out, not knowing 4 game drives were included in the price we paid 9 months beforehand. She simply made up an invoice and expected us to paid again.

Relaxed and well run. You’re in thick bush and have lots of space to yourself. It’s a great place to chill out and both St Lucia and the game reserves are within an hour.

We loved our stay in Tree House 7, which was the perfect combination of isolated yet close enough to reception. The room was perfect size with everything that we could want on our stay. Highly recommend spending some time at Bonamanzi!

It has become our favorite place. Superbly run, fantastically friendly, clean, efficient and affordable. Every time we leave, we leave a piece of our hearts. We will be back, time and time again. The place is amazing. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the food was lovely. The rooms luxurius, Conference area on a deck with an amazing view was inspirational. The area was conducive for the purpose of our gathering as an institution. Id definately recommend it to anyone looking for a place to spend quality time relaxing and reflecting. The wild life at your door step; lovely deers and cute little warthogs roaming about, breath taking♡

Fantastic place to stay. Great accommodation, meals and staff. The morning walk was one of the most interesting Ive been on. Bonamanzi boasts its own wildlife, although we missed the elusive leopards, and is close enough to Hluhluwe to warrant day trips

The Bonamanzi private reserve is located near St. Lucia and the Hluhluwe reserve, near the city of the same name. Accessible only by a track of 5 kilometers (stony but feasible by camper), this very pleasant reserve has several assets: it has, in addition to its luxurious lodges, campgrounds each with a bathroom and a private kitchenette . Spread in the reserve, the reserve offers locations in the wilderness, in the middle of impala. Several swimming pools very nice and very natural, and a restaurant offering a snack at noon and very nice barbecue evenings around a giant campfire in the evening. Do not miss.
