Nice quiet and tranquil farm shop and restaurant. The shop supplies fresh farm foods at really good prices. The owner is very welcoming and heartwarming. The restaurant is stunning with jungle gyms, swings and plenty for kids to do. The food was amazing and the service top notch.I would like to personally thank Webster; your service friendly, welcoming, informative and exemplary. Your warmheartedness and sense of humor made us feel right at home.Unfortunately, we had a bit of hostility from the lady in the baking goods section. Not just did she shove through us without an apology but complaining about other clients whilst doing so. She was also very abrupt when we were about to pay leading to me returning the goods and choosing not to subject myself to her any further. Highly unprofessional and amateur.
Beautiful farm atmosphere, two distinctly different sections :* farm stall with excellent , fresh vegetable at a good price, and* restaurant with great food, but expensive . Coffee and (major) cake for R 75Service in shop absent, at the cafe good.Decoration imaginative and tastefulA nice stop in a lovely surrounding. Unfortunately weather did not allow for outdoor seating. If you bring children, they will have a jungle gym to play in.
Quaint little farm stall with variety of new and secondhand nickknacks on display for purchase.Jams, preserves, cookies and cakes also on offer. The tea garden looks out onto a sunny and cheerful patio overlooking a kids paradise of jungle gyms and swings. A true relief for parents looking for kid friendly place to go for a meal or just coffee and cake.Recommend you come experience this quaint place for yourself...
Worth a visit. Great home cooked meal.
Prompt service, varied menu, and option to sit inside or on the patio. Lots of items in the garden to keep small kids busy
The perfect spot to fuel up for a day trip through the valley.I imagine this would be a fantastic spot in Summer with outdoor seating and a kids play area. We had plenty of rain on our weekend in Hermanus, but Plaaskombuis felt cosy with its wood fire adding a to the homely feel. The menu offers hearty, good old South African favourites and standard fare with a local twist.Theres plenty to be said for the fine dining options up and down the valley, but for a strong coffee and a filling, reasonably priced meal, this is the place to be.
Beautiful views, delicious traditional food, generous portions and wines produced on the farm. Perfect combination!
Weve had many breakfasts here. Lovely large outside area for kids to play and adults to enjoy the sights of agricultural activities in the distance.
What a wonderful place to visit! We loved all the old South African novelties and memorabilia. My kids had a blast playing in the kids corner, running through the sprayers outside and playing in the sandpit. Its always great when a restaurant thinks of families and kids - that the adults can actually visit and enjoy their meals. Thank you Plaaskombuis! Youre one of a kind ★
Stunning place, great food and Webster was remarkable, the atmosphere was great. I would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately the elderly lady that works with the baking goods was very unpleasant and rude and did not give a welcoming atmosphere to the shop area. But the rest was very pleasant and welcoming.Michelle Barnard Receptionist
We opted for the burgers, which are not burgers. It is two pieces of bread with chicken pieces, lettuce tomato and gherkins. No sauce, no effort.Definitely not worth R105 for the burger
Nestled in the Hemel en Aarde Valley, this is a good place to stop for breakfast or a light lunch. There’s a fairly large play area for both human and fur kids - which makes it the ideal spot for vacationing families. The views are fantastic, the coffee is decent, and the shop is filled with tons of interesting bits and bobs. Food here is fair - I would say it’s really the luck of the draw on any given day.
Nice food, nice farm things to buy, feel its a bit pricey
What a beautiful outside seating spot. Veiws arw exquisite. Kids friendly. A happy spot... food great
Most enjoyable breakfast. Thank you.
Great place to go if you have kids. Lots of jungle gyms. Also dogs on leads are allowed.
Disappointing. We received our food 1 hour and 4 minutes after placing our orders. The coffee was really good. Our table ordered food that should take little time to prepare. Toasted sandwiches and quiche. My toast was room temperature, the cheese wasnt melted anymore. The chips were hot and very tasty. We sent a plate of chicken and mayo toasted sandwich back, because the chicken inside was still frozen. Our waitress, apologised and felt really bad about everything. The toasted sandwhich was taken from our bill, but we received no apology from the owner/manager. They wont see us again.
Good food. Awesome setting. And waitress Anna provided great service. Would really recommend
Awesome view, awesome food and amazing service.
Not kid friendly at all!! their is a play area for the kids but they have to be supper quiet! Please inform people of this before they order! Then their will be no misunderstandings !!
We arrived at 11.15 hoping for a late breakfast sorry too late. we asked for recommendations waitress recommend venison pie after about 35 min. she returned saying they made the wrong pies please be patient. At 12.45 the pies arrived. regrettably they were inedible we tried and we were hungry but couldnt eat. waitress returned we told her. some time later she returned and said the chef and the owner both tasted the pies nad said they thought they were fine but did not come to the table. the bill arrived for the full amount which we paid. still no owner or chef. we left and will never return. the first people we say we. repeated the story and will continue to do so. so bad!
Very nice farm atmosphere. Nice play areas for children. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Definitely worth a visit

An excellent experience. Food divine and a stunning waitress
Magical spot with breathtaking views, wonderful food and a lovely little shop with with baked goods and second-hand treasures.

Stunning, great service, awesome plaas kos give it a try you wont regret it.
Beautiful location to buy a plant, grab a bite to eat and a drink for when you get home 😛
The best thing for me was the scenery, I could sit there whole day and look onto the mountain and the greenery.
Love the setting and very sociable, BUT the menu prices are ridiculous and absurd. Been there 3 times before and the service was pathetic. I thought Ill try again, but got up and walked out. Now at BIGA down the road. Lovely, tasty food and more realistic prices.
Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Interesting experience
Delicious carrot cake and amazing view.
Lovely food huge serving nice setting value for money

Warm friendly atmosphere. Good food and stunning views A must to visit
Super friendly service together with magnificent food created an awesome late lunch. Add to that an awesome view for a destination I will definitely return to and recommend.
Friendly warm atmosphere. Great service. Generous tasty breakfast
Sunday lunch 17 Nov 19. Atmosphere excellent. Service very good. Ordered Bunny Chow, but it was VERY small! Menu should include a picture/description to avoid disappointment. Bunny Chow supposed to be half a bread!
Seriously comfortable, tables not too close together, pies and chips were good, fresh vegetables stunning and their chocolate cake so good i ordered one for my 70 birthday lunch.
Had a fantastic breakfast with good koffie, the homemade bread is something to behold. Dont miss the opportunity.
A great find and experience of country hospitality
Nice atmosphere, lots of playroom for kids. Service was a little slow but we were a large group. Good food and generous portions.
Awesome atmosphere and vibe. Child friendly.
Nice place for a wholesome meal. If you are not into all the arty type meals served up at the various wine farms around I would recommend it. Had a club sandwich which was really awesome. Bread was home made. Cheese cake was nice to
Nostalgic to visit when back in the motherland. Pricey if paying in Rand but the Dollar went a long way. Great home-made ginger beer and rusks.
What an amazing little Gem just outside Hermanus on the Hemel and Aarde road .Amazing Food and super friendly service with a smile A wonderful shop that you can buy fresh produce and ready made South African favourite dishes and the coffee and Milk tart is the best I have tasted in a very long time .Congratulations to the Neta the owner and staff for excellence and quality .From Chef Antoni
Over prized and standard of meals are not up to standard. Good atmosphere.
Our Waiter didnt know what the 3 kids meal options cost (because there is no kids meals on the menu) so we picked chicken fingers and a kiddies milkshake x2 which was an absolute rip off @ R55 for 3 chicken strips and sad portion of chips and 250ml milkshake @ R35...kids total was R180... more than for 2 adults! Left there feeling like we are repaying their covid losses
Big and airy. Tables not jammed next to aOne another. Nice view. And we had tea, most enjoyable
Casual restaurant with a nice view and good bobotie.
Delicious chicken pie. Lovely nursery.
Interesting place with good food and atmosphere. My grandchild enjoyed the play area.My wife enjoy the knitting available on each table.
Food was outstanding and service good
Unpretentious and relaxedThis is a unique place to visit - with tables inside or outside. An area with some old goods to purchase and an area with baked goods, organic eggs and vegetablesThe menu offers breakfast and lunch. We were just in time for breakfast and ordered the open omelet with freshly baked bread on the sideThe restaurant offers stunning views of the mountain in the background, fitting to the relaxed feel and experience
A hidden Gem. Love coming here for breakfast.
Loved it. Atmosphere was really nice and food amazing
Such a lovely place to visit in the country side. Good food and friendly staff. Nice to see the children having space to run around and play.
