Everything was excellent as always. I usually only go for the chicken livers which is the best in town!! (Dare to tell me otherwise 🙂)That being said, dont disregard the rest of the menu! Never had a regret to try anything else on there!!

Dear Mugg & BeanYou have allowed us into your restaurant with items from a rival outlet. After being seated and issued with menu’s, you indicated that the items which were placed on the table, with no intention of eating it, were not allowed.I respect and understand your stance. However, I would have preferred you offer me a reasonable solution in respect of customer service, such as a bag which I would have happily paid for. Or kept my items at the entrance for me to collect on my way out. This would have given me and my family peace of mind while enjoying the service of Mugg & Bean. What I find more distasteful is your waitress collecting the menus while I was talking to another of your employees. This I found utterly disrespectful and demeaning.

Bad food. Bad service. Slow. Overpriced. After several bad experiences I feel compelled to write a review. On our visit today, I ordered a bottomless lemonade. It arrived 10 minutes later. I finished it and waited half an hour for another. After another 45 minutes I gave up on getting a third lemonade. I would hardly call around 500ml of lemonade bottomless.I ate a burger and fries. The fries were cold and I returned them. The burger was mediocre at best. My wifes sesame chicken tenders were room temperature and soft and could not be eaten.After we were done eating what we could, and the plates were taken away, we waited another half hour for our waitron to reappear and ask if we needed anything else. I asked for the bill, which I had to pay for in cash because the card readers were down.Bad food. Bad service. Slow. Overpriced. This is not our first bad experience at this Mugg & Bean, but it will be our last.

I love eggs benedict, but i prefer well done eggs - cannot stomach runny eggs. But just like steak, most chefs prefer to send it them out under medium, no matter how the customer wants it. Ive always had to send back runny eggs for a few seconds in the microwave, no matter where i eat. But today, at Mugg & Bean, Whale Coast Mall, my eggs benedict arrived exactly how i asked for it. Well done, but still fluffy. Thank you! 🤗

Pleasant experience, although as much as I wanted to be seated inside, it appeared very warm there so settled for an external table instead. Service was prompt and enjoyed the bottomless iced tea.

By far the worst, most watered-down cafe mocha I have ever tasted in my entire life. I think a simple hug-in-a-mug sachet might be creamier than the dishwater served here.

Wow, what a great team at an amazing franchise. We accidentally spilled our green smoothie over the table and the floor, but the waiter and even the manager was there in a second to help us clean it up. They even replaced the smoothie without extra charge :)! I didnt catch the servers name, or the managers, but thank you so much for great service and your help cleaning up. Its not everyday that you see managers scramble for more wet-wipes for the customer :DThe food was delectable as well.

Honestly, this is a must go to if you are ever in south africa. your meals are fresh, delectable and overall well prepared. however, you need to learn how to make better eggs cause its always over-done and dry. but i love the bottom less shakes.

Friendly service from the staff. Enjoyable experience all round. Food well presented. Coffee with cream is a great addition to the menu. Good location within the shopping centre close to other big retailers one might want to visit.

I am a regular customer, always getting great service, however this morning I must admit, things were rather on the slow go. I sat down at 9am and waited 10min for a waiter to ask if I have been served. I ordered my drink and meal, which was a toasted tomato and cheese on rye. Much later I had to question where my food is, this was now 9h34. I then received a chicken and mayo toasted sarmie. Not only the wrong order, I am vegetarian. Not a great start to the morning. I had to cancel my order as I had an appointment to tend to, so couldnt wait. Very disappointed, as the restaurant was not that busy either. I have been there at busier times and never received the service I did today. I am letting you know so that you can bring this under the attention of your staff. Thank you.

Second time in 6 months. Yay time we did not get served at all in 15 minutes. Now decided to give them a second chance. But did does not look up to standard of other M&Bs... Cappuccino was piping hot. We had to wait an age for the coffee. We decided not to eat. Walked over to the spur.

Lovely place for a wonderful cup of hot chocolate. Just such a pity that it closes so early @ 18:00 on week nights. I saw too many people walking away to the restaurant on the other side of the entrance.

Been twice while on holiday. Both times the experience was shocking. I only went back the 2nd time, as my sister insisted that we give them another try.I have a serious food allergy, and askedspecifically if the product was in the food ordered. The first time around, was told, definately not. However I ended up with the serious side effects of the contaminated item. On the 2nd visit, we never even got as far as ordering the meal. They took so long with the drinks, and messed that up, we didnt bother continuing with the meal order. There is nothing good to say about this m&b. If there was a negative star rating, I would mark is as that!

Old hard chocolate cake. When i asked when it was naked the waiter said the previous day, but that cake was at least 5-6 days old. Rock hard and dry. Very disappointing as i love mugg and beans cakes.

Every time we asked for cold milk with the coffee and everytime they bring hot milk. We talked and report it several times, today it happened again. The waiters do not listen or they dont care, maybe we need to add no tip, until they ask, what the reason are

Possibly the worst meal Ive ever had at Mugg & Bean, not sure what has changed but it needs to go back to the great food and service it had when it first opened. Ordered the aubergine and holoumi wrap with sweet potato fries, the fries were not peeled, oily and definetly old. The wrap was drowned in so much sauce that you couldnt taste anything else.2 of my guests had the chicken and mayo toasted sandwich and it was spicy. The waiter mentioned it was likely because they used the same cutlery for the jalapeño toasted sandwich that my other guest had.Not great

What a wonderful surprise. Whale Coast Mall is sporting a brand new Mugg & Bean! Yes, I am a big fan of this restaurant chain and I therefor did not pass the opportunity to find out if this one will live up to the standard set by the other Mugg & Beans I frequented. I was met by a very friendly staff member. We could choose between a bunk table or table with normal chairs. The decor is true to the M & B theme with some individuality that was a pleasant surprise. Also, it was good to see that the restaurant had easy wheelchair access plus baby chairs. These chairs were noticeable from the entrance which will encourage moms with babies to choose M& B. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, always close-by and our order was taken correctly. I love the menu. Always difficult to make up my mind to what I must order. Enough pictures and clear discriptions of the dishes. A wide variety of cold and hot drinks. Good time frame between placing our order and receiving it. Food well presented and once again very tasty. Portions, in line with their moto, is a bit larger making sure your tummy is satisfied. So, without writing a book about my experience, I can vouch that this new addition to the chain will not disappoint you.

With the strikes again yesterday (Friday, 07/12/18) again, a lot of shops and restaurants were closed, but HATS OFF to Mug & Bean, situated at entrance 2...!!! Needless to say, they were packed, with the owner and his wife in the kitchen and one waiter on the floor, they kept their clients very happy. 😉A special SHOUT OUT to Manfred the waiter, who came in to work, despite his day off, he handled that volume and demand with a sincere smile and inextinguishable friendliness and when complemented, he gave the owner and his wife who was busy preparing orders in the kitchen, the honour, saying they are his inspiration...!!! You were a life lesson to me today sir, THANK YOU. 🙏
