Ginger the Restaurant is fantastic. Good service, friendly, clearly information and amazing show. They have a good menu description could even convince a hesitant us to try something new. I am appreciate my dish, Grilled scallop and mussel linguine ‼️ wow very rich of flavor. I won’t forget my dessert today is very amazing and classic recipe. Crepes Suzette, classic crepes flambeed at the table with cointreau, brandy and star anise served with Homemade Vanilla pod ice cream… huuu G.O.A.T.👍👍👍Thanks for the amazing show🙏❤️❤️❤️

The service is good, the bathrooms are amazingly clean and beautiful. It has a beautifully hanging chandelier too. Very classy and affordable prices.

The Ginger Restaurant is one of the best restaurants and situated in The Beach hotel. Beautiful restaurant with lovely views. A fantastic menu and food was delicious. Quality wines and friendliest and helpful personnel. Will always go there when we visit Port Elizabeth again. Definitely a must to go there.

Slow and pricey for what you get.Our food took over an hour to arrive and then in batches.It was my first visit and judging by the reviews here I was expecting better service and food.

Supurb service and excellent food. All round a really good experience. This was my second visit in 2 weeks and everything was on point. They also have really good vegetarian options.

Situated in Summerstrand PE ,overlooking the ocean. If you looking to dine in style, romantic dinners and a more formal setup this is definitely the place . Everything about them is upmarket, their food absolutely amazing........and not to mention their cocktail bar. If you in PE this is a definite must do.

My husband and I had lunch here on a weekday and dinner on another day.For me This is one of the best fine dining restaurants in PEWe had a very friendly and efficient waitress - extremely helpful. Our dishes that we ordered were delish. We were disappointed that the lunch menu was so limited.Cocktails were interesting and good.For dinner the food was absolutely delish, well beautifully plated. Once again the staff were amazing.

Excellent. just excellent!With David we had a very good and caring waiter. He even prepared the snails for us.The food is very good and nicely served. The mashed potatoes with truffles after the best I ever had. The dessert was the only thing we didnt like that much.I can fully recommend this restaurant.

We had an amazing Christmas lunch. The service was friendly as well. The only fault I had was that I found the lamb a bit tough, but everything was exceptional. If I am in PE again I will definitely return to this restaurant as the dining experience was great.

Perfect service.Had wild mushroom risotto - seriously delicious.Rump steak was perfecly cooked, super soft and delicious.Crepe suzettes served and flambed tableside was to die for.Also made specialy arrangements for flowers that was delivered to be placed on our reserved table.I would highy recommend this restaurant

Had a wonderful experience at Ginger! The food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend the chocolate menu, but the mushroom risotto was also fantastic. The service was very good, with a well trained waiter that knew the menu and ingredients by heart. Will definitely be back!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Ginger tonight. The special effort that they went to to make our celebration the best that it could be is hugely appreciated. The food, service and ambiance were all exceptional and Ginger is now, without any doubt, our celebration venue of choice.

I planned a surprise birthday dinner for a friend. The food was really good, but everything else was very very poor. I didnt even get to enjoy the rest of the night. I wouldnt recommend this place.

It was such a great experience. My husband and I went there for lunch we had the wild mushrooms risotto, baby squids as an entrè and I have to say they were just unbelievable tasty. For the main course we had the ChateauBriand almost cried when we tasted. Definitely Ginger is value for money. I dont think you will walk away disappointed about the price or their food.

Limited menu when I went but I heard it is being revamped. For a place that is fine dining...there is zero dress code. So having someone sit next to me in slip slops and beach shorts while I am dress smartly just doesnt fit the upper class of the restaurant. Extremely expensive for Port Elizabeth. But food is good and lovely wine menu

Nice atmosphere and great wine menu but unfortunately my main course (salmon) was not nice at all, the sauce tasted badly burnt so I couldnt eat it. No apology or alternative offered. The only bad meal I had in my two weeks travelling south Africa.

Great place, excellent food! Unfortunately, we arent big eaters so couldnt do all courses which Im sure would have been fantastic.The sercvse was also v good.We ordered the fish platter and every item of fish and shellfish was cooked to perfection. A must visit - not too expensive either.

I visited them on Friday and the chardonnay was very complimentary and rock salmon perfectly cooked. I visited them again on Tuesday. Food and service was still great. I also test restaurants on the red wine they serve, their starter and dessert. Full marks. 🥂🍹😁😄😊

Best chicken salad I had in the EC! Simplicity at its best- excellent vinaigrette, fresh lettuce, beautifully marinated chicken with crispy skin.Could consider a change in coffee beans. Service was very professional and friendly. Good wine list. Great views.

DATE NIGHT - food was tasty and well prepared. Ambiance was a little stiff on the inside, so we decided to move to the deck. Service was very good. Well worth a visit.

A nice restaurant, which belongs to the Beach Hotel. seems to be a noble restaurant, so don’t come in shorts an flip-flops, we felt a little underdressed when strolling in with our jeans and sneaker-Outfit. Service was good, food also. You can seat outside, but when you want to smoke, you have to leave the table and go around the corner (quite silly, when you’re the only one, who sits outside). So the restaurant wants to be more, than it is, but it’s fine to go there. There have a great wine list, too.

I previously reviewed Ginger as being inconsistent. My last visit was a good one and Ginger delivered. The restaurant was fully booked and the staff was on their toes. The food was good.These are the visits that make me return.

Visited for a year-end function - The staff can improve with regards to smiling (except for our waiter who was very friendly). The lamb shank was AMAZING!!!! They have a great variety of cocktails and some interesting meals. We had a good time - Thanks!

Good food but dreadful service. The waitress was clearly run off her feet but the manager was hopeless. We had been to the same restaurant the week before and had a good experience, so it may be a question of pot luck. If you do have problems, dont expect the manager to help
