Heinrich is the saving grace of this establishment. His commitment to service and hospitality is superb. Its a great pity that the rest of the hotel staff dont follow his sterling example.

Great staff with smilling faces all the time. Good space for conferences and those networking gatherings. Surrounded by the shopping mall so you wont lack a thing. A definite book-in for any visitor to the Garden Route.

Great stop in a prime, central location just off the freeway and walking distance to the George mall with great voews of the mountains and a lovely pool and grass area for kiddies.

Service is not bad, but rooms can be upgraded, like a fridge, beter dstv package. Staff is friendly

Perfect location, lovely people

The rooms are spacious and have a coffee station. The rooms are well maintained and clean, although the finishings make the room quiet dark and dull. I always request a ground floor pool-side room, which have back doors opening onto the pool area. This gives the room more of a villa feel than a normal hotel room, which i really enjoy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You can order room service from any of the restaurants in the Garden Route Mall, order talk a walk across the parking area to the Mall. There is easy access to George airport via the N2 .

Im currently staying at the place and service is bad especially the managers of this place, they dont treat us equally with the white people not saying they are racist but they have their favourite.

I didnt think that, at my age, hotel service could improve. Town Lodge have done something good here - from reception to support staff - I was pleasantly surprised and impressed! The breakfast was great ! Id been to George at some other places before and cant believe that Ive passed this gem over the years. What a bonus for having found them! I hope to be back.

Have you watched the Shinning? Well this is a step down, think American Horror Story Hotel and your are on the right track. My favourite part of this dismal hotel was the awesome view of the McDonald’s which you could close out with the 1970’s curtain.... this is not retro curtains just curtains from the 1970’s

This place is awesome for a quick pitstop on your way somewhere else.. The rooms are nice and clean.. Beds comfortable and facilities are perfect for two people.. Rooms can be a bit small for extended stays.. Pool is awesome.. Staff friendly and helpful...

We just spent 4 fantastic days at this gem of a hotel. The facilities are wonderful, but what really made it stand out are the exceptional staff. We have stayed at many (international) hotels, and this was fantastic! 10 out of 5 stars.

Awesome stay

We got the room for a good price, service from the staff was always welcoming and friendly. We didnt really eat breakfast at the hotel as that was a little pricey and we wanted to explore other culinary breakfasts from around George. The only thing is that the bed was a little hard and the pillows needs to be firmer.

I stayed at this hotel during my Holiday in George this year. Really enjoyed staying here. Very clean and neat as always as per City Lodge Standards. The one thing that really stood out to me is the exceptional outstanding quality service from the staff members. Very Friendly and always ready to assist!! I would stay here next time just because of the staff. Very central location being located on the doorstep of a mall. Fast internet and my family enjoyed the pool. One negative is that we got a damp smell in corridors and one of our rooms, seems i get this same issue in all city lodge hotels country wide . Dont know why. For this reason i can rate it 4 stars. Would be 5 stars otherwise. Thank You Town Lodge George. Hats off to your staff.

Everything was great. Fast and friendly service. Only problem was the milk they supplied for coffee n tea, was off.

The hotel rooms are small but cosy -we were treated with awesomeness by the management and staff. Everything was neat and really a place where you can find peace. The malls are in walking distance and it is quite nice and safe to walk late at night.

Very nice & easy, we were on route Cape Town from PE & our sleepover was great.I like the position of the hotel as we could easily walk into the mall through the pedestrian back gate.Heindrich the Maintenance Guy was also cool, we had a chit chat with him and I was happy to speak to an employee of the business who spoke so highly about his employment.

Good places to stay if you staying in George for business. Close to shop and public transport. Is not the greatest town lodge you will ever go to but the staff are friendly.

Rooms are clean but could do with an update.When booking I asked for a room close to the entrance as I had a broken foot and was on crutches.When we arrived I was put in a room that was last in the corridor,extremely far from the entrance.Breakfast is basic with cold meats and cereal ,but good service otherwise
