I was very pleased with the patience shown to me by Michelle, as my parcel had to be opened and repacked, and I was rather nervous as I had not used this facility before. My parcel took only 48hrs to go from the George office to its recipient in the UK, that is amazing. I will use DHL again.

I cant speak for the SA branch but my experience with the UK branch has been terrible.The absolute WORST service EVER experienced from a courier (DHL Express UK). My parcel to Germany was not delivered on account of an abusive, rude and intimidating delivery person who had the receiver in tears. She called DHL who told her no costs, the delivery guy wanted 120 Euro in cash, and was not willing to wait 10 minutes for her to go and draw it. Who walks around with 120 Euro in their pocket, who is so backward as to not accept card payments and who employs people who so abuse their customers?They wont speak to me, only to the person who actually handed over the goods, even though my name is on the invoice.Now they want to destroy the goods. I would NEVER use DHL again. The worst service Ive ever experienced, they are not interested in individuals only companies it seems. Thats fine, then they should say so on their website, not take peoples money and then destroy their stuff.My advice, avoid them at all costs!

Absolute excellent and friendly service - weve been dealing with DHL (George branch) for years now (on business and personal level) and have only had great service - time and time again. The worst service imaginable. The lady who took my senders details got the ID number, phone number, name, and address wrong. This lead to the package being delayed with no information or updates. Because of this issue the package is now stuck at customs, and DHL cannot help me at all, even after 2 hrs on the phone, 400 rand spent on airtime, and a visit to my local branch. If you try to call exports you will be put on hold until you either quit or run out of airtime. DHL treats its customers as if they are the ones that have to provide the service. IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DO NOT USE DHL SOUTH AFRICA

Very helpful, DHL had incorrect instruction on the system and the lady in the reception ended up calling around between service provider and the hub to real time locate my package so that I can fetch it myself without delay.

Bad, I called their number in George and the lady at reception was very friendly and put me through to their Operations Department where the phone rang and was picked up and dropped again, this happened thrice and I eventually got through to someone in the middle of me telling them how the phone was put down in my ear they dropped the line in my ear. What a waste of my airtime and I would have used them frequently for my international shipments, thats not happening anymore. Such bad service.
