We have spent 3 nights here and have really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful hotel tucked away from the road into Franschhoek with excellent rooms and really friendly, helpful staff.

Babymoon location. Minimal luxury, but nice clean room and a tiny resort feel with magnificent pool.

Terrible food, dining area not clean, spider webs in the corners of the sealing. You do NOT get what you pay for and the rooms themselves are dated and over all not great either.

Nice location and garden, amazing staff, caring and friendly. Rooms a bit old, would need to be refreshed and refurbished, not soundproof (quite noisy around breakfast time)

What a beautiful place and great accommodation. Room was clean, with lovely decor, DStv, tea and coffee available and stunning bathroom. The staff are friendly too.

A lovely gem, hidden away off the main strip.. great staff and beautiful setting. (Just dont forget your insect repellent.. some mozzies at night)

Staying at a vineyard had been on the top of my wishing list and my stay at ValdOr Estate was exactly what I wanted. Arriving the vineyard in pitch dark, the staff was polite and welcome. Our lovely and spacious room facing the vineyard, the view was fabulous! I cant wait to come back again someday!

Excellent accomoodation in a wonderful estate. We had such a peacful stay near Franschhoek. The breakfast on the patio was delicious and we could enjoy the magnificent mountain view.

For the price it is great. A bit dated, but again, good value.

Val D’or Estates is a well manicured tasteful estate that has an excellent location nestled amongst rows of ripening grapes bound for the nearby wineries. Our reception was warm and cordial, and our room was thoughtfully appointed. The grounds are extremely beautiful with warm vibrant flowers in the foreground that create a perfect contrast to the golden sun setting over the purple hued mountains in the distance. Val D’Ors proximity to nearby Franschhoek makes it an ideal pairing for both food and wine connoisseurs. This was our first time to South Africa and I would unequivocally say we made a perfect choice in lodging.
