The service was excellent, and covid regulations are adhered to. I loved the platter too it was delicious 😍 would definitely go there again.

Staff are friendly. I ordered a prawns and calamari and chips, my partner a platter for one and my son a calamari and chips. No complaints with their meals. Mine in the other hand .... My chips tasted funny, they brought a fresh batch, which also tasted funny ... Maybe burnt oil or something.. They did try fix this by offering a salad or rice, but by then I just wanted to eat and go.... Other wise, I would have given more stars, but it wont stop me from eating there again.

Wow, where to start... Ordered fish and chips (Mr D) with creamy lemon sauce. No creamy lemon sauce arrived. Deliberately did not order cutlery (plastic!). Arrived with cutlery in a sealed plastic packet including tomato sauce. Tomato sauce sachet had popped, was all over the napkin and cutlery and was properly rancid. My wifes meal came with a small stone (quartz to be precise lol).

Went for a late lunch today. Took a while for the condiments to arrive and then the waitress forgot the plates 🙈 Waited a while for our meal. Our food was sitting on the counter for a while. We could see it from where we were seated. Waitress brought it to us and it was coldish. I asked for it to be reheated. Not much of a difference when it came back. When she brought my food and my daughters we were informed they didnt have what my husband ordered. Needless to say he was extremely disappointed. We ended up letting my daughter finish her meal and left with mine as a takeaway. My husband did not want to order something else because he was extremely upset. They should have informed us they were out of stock and he could have ordered something else instead of waiting until they brought out our meals. Not very impressed with the service today😳...

Really good experience. Busy day and travelling so slipped my mind that today was Valentines day... cringed when I saw the flowers on the tables cause then I remembered the day...I thought it would be awkward going there alone but the staff were amazing so felt really at ease and comfortable. Soso, my waiter did a great job of making sure I was taken care of even with all the hustle snd bustle of love struck couples all around.Oh... and the food was great too. THANKS GUYS! KEEP IT UP.Will definitely be back when Im in EL again.

Food was good but the place gets really busy any time of day. And eating from a flaming hot frying pan is just not something i see myself doing. So i opt for a take away until they discover plates. Even if it is paper plates.

The place was crowded, no one at reception. I was eventually placed at a blocked table. No cutlery, no seasoning. The poor waitrons were running around like headless chickens. I would expect that the manager take charge during the surge, instead of being conspicuously absent in leadership. Perhaps take some example from the Ocean Basket in Newcastle and learn how to lead. A pity, the food was good. But client service comes before churning out numbers at the expense of quality.

There are limited options on Mr delivery to tailor make your order which forces u to call the restaurant directly... Absolute nightmare

The service from our waitress on Tuesday evening 18/05/2021 was shockingShe did not get our order right we are still waiting for our sides that we ordered then all of us were finished with our food and one lot still did not arrive we were ignored and did not order anything else as we were there for about an hour and a half waiting for our meal to arrive really disappointed

I just love this Ocean Basket. Place for young children to play outside, and really good wining and dining.

I found the service to be slow and lacking. Tables around us get bread rolls, yet we dont. I dont think our waitron was not interested. The delays werent acceptable to be honest. Thank goodness the quality of food was up to standard.

We entered ur establishment on 28/9/20 and was really looking forward to a meal. We waited a while for someone to welcome us and to take our temp and sanitise our hands which is the norm at any restaurant nowadays. No one came to assist and someone behind the counter just gestured that we should take a seat anywhere.We also waited some time for someone to atleast come around and take an order of drinks but again we were left waiting.The service last night was really of poor standard.We also saw another customer complain about the poor service and after witnessing that, we decided to just leave.I sincerely hope that this will be looked into and would not like this to happen again should we decide to visit ur restaurant again.Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint.RegardsLYNNE

Vincent Ocean Basket has been consistently good over the last couple of visits. I order the Jupiter Mezzo Platter (with cajun) and it always delivers. Staff are always helpful and the parking in Vincent is usually rather good, especially with the 1.5 hour free parking. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone go here! (Sorry no pics of food. I was too excited to eat it that I forgot)

Excellent view and sitting is great. I like it and it was my first time. Only the flies were disturbing when enjoying our meals. The place is more inviting, neat and tidy.

Service extremely poor, has to ask at counter twice to come assist us. Food was enjoyed, but dessert cream was sour.

Fish & Chips and some rice is what I ordered and what I got. The fish was actually very good. But the fries were miserable. So was the rice. It was way to dry. You get some bread, garlic and chilli in oil, and some japanese kind of mayonnaise. Service was good, selection of drinks as well. Fair priced and still open on Sunday. If you wanna get a four star rating please improve on the quality of your sides. Thank you.

Loved it... My son took me there for my birthday... We shared a delicious sushi starter and thrreafter a platter for two.. We could not finish it... Very tasty excellent service and a great atmosphere

At Vincent branch, the Waiter who served my friend and I was not friendly and not professional. He would not acknowledge any requests from us, choosing instead to bring whatever we had asked for, leading us to wonder if he had understood our order. In one of the occasions, walked away, and come back with a kitchen staff to explain that our request could not be done. The request was to have half vegetable and half starch with our meal, which came with rice and chips. When we requested that the food be warmed, as it had become cold, he simply took the pan with food, and brought it back still cold. Only when we complained about it, he then explained that he couldnt put the pan in the microwave. we asked him to please transfer it to a plate to heat up in microwave, he still insisted he couldnt do it, when he asked why, he then said he couldnt touch our food. We had to ask him to bring a plate, so we could transfer the food into a plate. finally, we were able to have our warm food. At that stage, we had realized we had chosen the wrong venue. Weve always enjoyed the Beacon bay branch 👌

The food and the service was great. The Greek salad had minimal tomatoes and full of cucumbers. Overall the food was amazing 😊

Beacon Bay Ocean Basket horrible,I’m sitting with a sick husband after eating food from this place,we ordered soup the waiter served the soup with a tea spoon,when I asked him why is there no big spoons,he replied we out of big spoons but you can use the fork.....The fork serious!!! really you don’t have enough cutlery?how the hell do you eat soup with a fork...please Management of Beacon Bay Ocean Basket please train your stuff to be at least decent.

I have been here plenty of times before and have felt like the food was decent but the service was a little lacking. My last visit really impressed me though, everything has improved. The food was so fresh and delicious, our orders came out so quick, and the service was awesome.

This is our favorite grab a meal quick place. Best seafood in East London and the best value for money. We have been going here forever and seldom disappointed. My husband always has a platter for one and I love the grilled Kingklip.

If I could give a zero star rating... I will definitely do so... food was cold, some of us were almost finished eating and then the others only received their sushi.... and we did not rven receive any Portuguese rolls.... bad service... they will not see me again!!

Great seafood restaurant. Good for families or date or friends or business lunch. Kids play area outside. Smoking section. Drinks offering. The Baklava was jummy and the pot meals are large, tasty and filling.

We have dined here twice and were treated with real good and honest East London hospitality. Will surely visit again.

The starter, the mussels were cold but the sauce was hot, main meal the chip cold the rice hot and the prawns so overdone I couldnt remove them from their shells

Salmon and tuna sushi pieces are very thin and small. Also dont waste money ordering the king prawns, theyre the same size as the prince prawns. Other than that the food is very well prepared and tasty and staff is friendly and approachable.

I had a grilled fish and rice as i cant have fried food i never expected to get the driest most bland and tasteless rice ever! Never again . Everything they just so stingy with the last time i had a platter for two there was hardly any cheese sauce. A franchise that used to serve the best quality seafood prepared in town along with great service for years. Went to dine there a year ago and the food was very average and not fresh at all. Gave them a shot again a few weeks ago and the service was appalling. Ordered with a waitress, then after almost an hour of waiting had to get another waiter to confirm where our food was. Food came a few minutes later and was cold, prawns where dry and over done and so was the fish. To top it all off the restaurant staff was dancing and jiving and cleaning to music while customers were still inside the restaurant. Dont waste your money people

The only disappointing thing was that although our waiter was very friendly, he was very unattenative and often had to ask other waiters to assist us. But over all a great place.

The waiter was on top, the waiting for the food was despicable waited forever and we (me and my sister) ordered a takeaway( ordered Soul mate platter ) when we got home only one fish was in the box and it wasnt cooked at all!!!. The mussels werent nice, the prawns were tasteless, the rice was horrible. The way they packed everything, the mussels butter sauce was everywhere. If this is how you do takeaways Im not impressed. It was our Wedding Anniversary and what a disappointed meal. The potato fritters was oily and raw, the salmon fish cakes was burnt & over cooked. Didnt enjoyed our main meal at all. The service was slow.
