I had a good experience with Woodford car hire. I needed a vehicle because mine had broken down and was being repaired. They didnt have the type of car I had booked online so I was upgraded for free which was very generous. The credit card hold took a week (instead of stated 72 hours) to reverse but it was done. I had no problems or hidden costs and would definitely use them again.
I booked a Toyota Corolla but was instead given a VW Polo as I am fairly tall , the Polo was uncomfortable, I was not happy with their service and wouldn’t ever use them again

Poor service went to enquire about the authenticity pin that came on in the vehicle I hired at the King Shaka airport branch the gent at the counter told me to take a seat someone will attend to me sat on couch almost fell off to sleep even though I left without being attended to no one even noticed.Though the airport branch the service was excellent telephonically as well as face to face as well as the collections and returns if I had to hire again most definitely will go there again.Their service exceeded all the other well known names and this group was the only one had vehicles available.
Thee most pathetic customer service I have ever experienced. I had hired a vehicle from Woodford car hire Or Tambo on the 27th of January with a deposit of R4000, upon returning the vehicle on Friday the 28th of January in proper condition I was told that my deposit would automatically be deposited back into my account within 7-9 working days. It is now the 15th of February and I have still not received my money back, I have made various attempts to call customer service with no response. On the 11th of February I spoke to an employee named Strini who had confirmed that standard bank had been asked to release the funds into my account, and yet I have still not received my R4000. I would highly appreciate some intervention. My booking reference is OR-45359

Honestly the best car hiring company in South Africa. Ive used almost all other car rental companies and I was never ever satisfied as like now. Woodford also gave me a brand new car to use from their fleet. Woodford has the best service from all and the director Essa gives his personal time and service to his clients. This isnt found at any other car rental company. Dont look around shopping for price. pay decent prices and enjoy top quality service at woodford.

Hired a car from Woodford Durban CBD. When I got to my grandmothers house 2 hours later, a police van arrived arrogantly told us that he was sent by tracker and he wants to inspect the vehicle. He tried to make me speak to someone on the phone. He treated us as if we were suspects. The whole experience was embarrassing. The community was looking at me as if Im a car thief or something. Imagine that humiliation after spending your hard earned money supporting their business. On top of that ,it was impossible to get through to their call centre. They didnt even answer their phones. An absolutely horrific experience

I hired a car recently in Durban central, and made a mistake of choosing an incorrect option as it was my first time hiring, I chose 100 kms free instead of unlimited kilometres. I requested for the option to be changed, and for me to billed at unlimited kms as I had hired a car to travel long distance. The worst car rental agency everHired and paid for a car for 4 days though Cartrawler.Thier system was off line when we returned the car as such they only captured the return at 13h36, by which time we where already on the plane. Theres my story . Today I was in the yard of woodford, and guess what? Since 07h30 am waiting for my turn to be tested but 3 guys came after me and got tested because they had connection inside the company when it was me the tester said he is tired.... Just like that. Does that mean if u dont know anyone in the company u wont get a job?? Even a chance to be tested???
