Its a great B&B, staff very kind and respectful. Portia the host was very kind, helpful and goes the extra mile to make you stay comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and on most days I couldnt make it for breakfast, Portia always packed me a breakfast pack for work 😋👌greatful.

I have been to different places, bnbs, guest houses, hotels but nothing can be compared to the clearness, peaceful, and beautiful seaview from the Collard B&B.The place is so impressive...the love from the stuff. My husband and I checked in at this B&B and we really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were very neat and the house keeping staff were very friendly especially winnie. The view was so beautiful! If you looking for a place of tranquillity,this is the place to book into. Collards will definitely be seeing us again! What a peaceful place. I wont lie the view there is amazing the rooms look good and the bathroom too..but the lady was rude and the eggs had hair.. which was devastating. The business would do much better if there was someone more warm, vibrant and welcoming to attend to us.

This beautiful B&B gave me a real sense of home away from home. The owner went out of her way to ensure my comfort and was attentive at all times. The rooms were first class, and even though I am a highly critical person, I found this B&B to be really excellent with very comfortable bed and pillows (for me essential!). The view from the B&B is absoluetly stunning and there is a lovely outside area to relax and take it all in. The food was very good and plentiful. I would highly recomment Collards and already have my next reservation booked.

The place its nice n clean but the owner not friendly at all . I dont think I will refer people. Breakfast is of limit I ask for grilled tomato n she said no. U get 2 eggs n 2 strip of bacon no cheese. She serve with 1 fish finger imagine an adult with that . she serve danone no plain yought at all . She must improve her attitude as she need us n we need her service

What a frightening experience!!The service received from Alta the Manager was extremely shameful. Her conduct in relating to us, the paying customer, was always disgusting and rude. I would not recommend this establishment to anybody wanting a peaceful get away!! No need to even escalate the issues because Alta boasted about how her brother, the owner, will listen to everything she says.

Good friendly service with modern clean rooms. Would recommend to anyone.

I was really excited when i got here the Male host was so friendly but then the lady host took over and my God is she Rude.the WIFi was not working and just because we called her to ask if she could assist she started shouting at us i mean its so unnecessary.if it were upto me i would give it a 0 start just because of her.otherwise the place is beautiful,clean and the stuff is friendly

Great value for money. Alta made us feel right at home upon arrival. The rooms are nicely set out, spacious and clean. Rates are truely reasonable, for what you get in return. Another plus point is, Collards B & B is very well located, thus they are very central to the CBD, Umhlanga etc. I will most definitely be visiting them again, whenever I am back in KZN on business.

What a terrible experience! The manager was so rude towards us, the paying customer. We found hair on our breakfast(bacon on surtaday and egg on sunday), called the helper , showed her the hair and she took the food back to the kitchen. The manager came to the dining hall from the kitchen shouting Whos complaining about hair on their breakfast? . She got to our table, didnt greet and demanded my friend to show her the hair.mind you she was shouting and all eyes of the other guests were now on our table. The hair was no longer there they had removed it in the kitchen . She didnt even bother apologising. And that is just the least of things she did. If you want to fully enjoy your stay in Durban DO NOT BOOK Collards BnB especially if you are BLACK!
