I didnt stay in the B&B but the bakery here is sublime. Not many places in the Midlands make a fine dirty Chai with almond milk and my scrambled egg bagel was heaven. What a gorgeous, unpretentious, charming place with all kinds of delicious goods to take home. Its a very happy Meander find. (If you take your dog with you, maybe on a lead? One of the property dogs isnt entirely chilled.)

After reading the good reviews, we were looking forward to visiting a great place. We were however bitterly disappointed. When we arrived there was no one to welcome us. The room was shoddy to say the least. Never before have I had to stick my finger in a hole to open a cupboard. We left a day early, but no one seemed to care why. Caladdi will definitely never see us again.

Actually reviewing N-Squared Bakery@Caladdi. Artisanal Bakery with a lovely outdoor atmosphere,dog friendly! Great Breakfast Bagel ,well plated/presented and tasted good. Slow Jo decadent Chocolate flavor👌🏽 South African version of bagels that are tasty. 😊 purchased the sourdough bread and a loaf of the rye bread. The sweet treats all looked great,just so many to choose from! You must go early to avoid disappointment. Next visit will be for sweet treats perhaps. Did get a cinnamon swirl/bun type pastry. A variety of interesting bread rolls,such as sweet potato and turmeric. Definitely recommend a visit here!! You wont be disappointed.

I really great place for a weekend away. They are on the Midlands Meander, and close to the various attractions. The family run business serve an absolute amazing breakfast and have a bakery on the premises, a great stop for coffee and home bakes.

Great bakery very nice bread

I was introduced to Caladdi and since then I have visited them many times.The rooms are more than well fitted out and tastefully decorated.You have creative options for foods and a wide menu with everything prepared by the owners own hands with much love.This is a perfect venue for birthdays for kids as well as adults with ample outdoor space and facilities to cater to large groups.I believe from November there will be a new Cafe and Bakery to compliment the hair and beauty salon.

I we t from the Soutcoast to Caladdi to get Bread, Sundried Tomato, Olive and Rosmarin. And special Charcoal Rolls, Tumeric Rolls.

We had a really good weekend at Caladdi. Nova, Wayne their family and team made us feel welcome. The breakfasts were great and there was a lot to choose from (as promised :-) ). Nova prepared us a picnic basket that we enjoyed at the Midmar Dam. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend Caladdi for anyone visiting KZN Midlands.

The owner and her family are so welcoming, friendly and really treat you like you part of their family. Rooms are lovely and spacious and breakfast is excellent which is a full spread and variety to choose from not forgetting home made scones, bread and relish..wow..I would highly recommend this place

The hosts are super cool, the horses are very friendly and they have the loveliest dogs ever!The scenery is so lovely and the beds have heating which was so nice.Wayne fixes really nice gin and tonic but oh, wait until breakfast comes!You must stay here.

Wayne and Nova gave us exceptional service throughout our stay. They accommodated us with a late breakfast after our Parkrun and even helped with some emergency printing. The rooms were sparkling clean and well maintained. A child and baby friendly facility. Highly recommended!!

Lovely place - a balance of tasteful elegance and country living, with all the attractions of the Midlands Meander within easy reach. Magically relaxing and memorable experience - cooing doves, happy kids running around, horses, good-natured dogs and an Egyptian goose that waddled into the lounge!

Great hospitality. We stayed for one evening on our way through the meander. There are dogs, horses, chickens and a forest to meander through.Room was comfy and the coffee was good.

What a gem! Nova and Wayne and their welcoming committee of Golden Retrievers make this a must stay in the Midlands.We unfortunately didnt stay for breakfast in the morning, but can attest to the spread that was being laid on as we made our way down the hill to do the Piggly Wiggly parkrun.The room was tastefully decorated and felt very homely. Attention to detail.We will definitely return to stay ... looking for any excuse to get back there!
