Good stuff! Menus are nice and not very expensive. The drinks are as well, they have some interesting specials as well. A nice venue, quiet during the day. The food was very tasty. They make some of the tastiest bunny chows in Durban. I had some sliders and those were tasty as well. Staff were also very friendly if not a little bit distracted. All in all very much worth a visit.

Kudos to the Chef or the kitchen staff. Food-wise its definitely one of the best restaurant in Durban but your service is a let down. Some of your waiters were tipsy when we got served.

Home to one of my favourite craft beers - The Red. The urban-pub atmosphere does a great job of setting the tone for some amazing food and drinks. The staff are friendly and efficient. Will be back to try more meals and grabs a few more beers.

We had a lovely lunch! Fillet was cooked to perfection and was paired with an exquisite cauliflower puree and jus... the sorbet was a bit too sweet for my liking bit otherwise it was a great meal...

I believe in reviewing honestly, Unity Bar has been a place that I have had drinks and meals many times over the years. They have amalgamated some Café 1999 meals to their menu. I rate the meal a 9/10 but the mens toilet is an absolute disgrace something that needs rectifying!

Ok firstly the staff is awesome, unity has awesome interiors, the food is great and the beer, oh the beer... Strongly suggest ordering the taster platter of their brews, however they do also have a large variety of other crafts. These guys have made a great effort, I find myself going there 3 days in a row for their American pale ale

I liked that it wasnt too big. You didnt feel like just another patron. The staff and managers were super friendly and courteous. The lavatories and dining areas are clean and neat. Conversation will have to compete with music thats just a tad loud on certain evenings but this adds to the ambience. Its not Oupas bar and grill.The menus are unique, wooden boards which is pretty cool. Great selection of local and international craft beers and ciders. All are good. Food menu is simple and perfect. The Unity Vegetarian Burger was one of the best Ive had. It doesnt come with sides but the burger is hefty enough to hit the spot especially since youre going to accompany it with a beer. My companions all enjoyed there generous portions as well. Although it was busy, our order took around 15-20 minutes to get to us.I managed to pick up a few pages from their menu online but Id suggest you go to their website just in case prices have changed. All in all, 10/10 would visit again.Update:Vegan food isnt good. Disappointed all 3 times.

One of the best spots to get brews, grub and a vibe that is nowhere else! Great for date night, group dinners or a quick drink after work. Great vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and many many beers to choose from.

I am sure this is a great venue. Covid has sucked the life of all our beloved restaurants. With a limited menu they try really hard. The food was good and service great. I will go back and encourage people to support these great eateries

We were at Unity bar for my sisters 30th birthday lunch ,all i can say Is the staff there are super nice and helpful and the food Is amazing ..

Disappointed. Wife is Gluten Free so ordered a bunless burger without mayo. Surely you can put something more than just the actual tiny chicken piece over a dry salad if youre going to charge the full R95!! Basically paid R95 for a tiny piece. Next time maybe add another piece or at least another side . Very pricey.

Very nice place to stop in and have a drink and a quick snack.

On a personal level, there is nothing worse than sitting in a restaurant, with a group of friends for dinner and everyone else’s food arrives and you are left looking at the bare table in front of you, half of your fellow diners nibble surreptitiously at their food and the others sit stoically staring at their plates, watching their food get cold.After 5 minutes they start asking you “where is your food, did you order?”. Your server avoids the general area of your table and after another 5 mins he rushes past, with someone else’s order not stopping, and merely says “it’s on it’s way”. Your fellow diners have now eaten more than half of their food. You are angry and have lost your appetite so try to cancel your order, which now about 15 mins late, with another staff member who’s standing near the kitchen door, only to get told it is plated and on its way.I understand that with a huge table of 7 people these mistakes can happen, however when they do, I expect considerably better communication from the staff and a real sense apology. Sadly both of these were lacking.

Quick stop for dessert and coffees...very good! The beer ice cream was delicious!

This restaurant has some excellent food and has some vegan risotto which was amazing! It is on the pricey side, and finding parking nearby can be an issue. Overall a very stylish atmosphere.

Great vibe... Nice set out...Food extremely disappointing... I waited 45 minutes for a lamb pie to be made... Which was terrible..I would have preferred a pie at the garage that would of been a 100 times better and way faster!

Marcel and team are amazing! We had a lunch planned for quite a large group. On the day, thanks to the wonderful people at Eskom, we were there slap bang in the middle of load shedding. The team at Unity pulled off an amazing lunch and everyone had a fabulous time!

This is one of my new favourite spots in Durban. The food and drinks are awesome. Loved the stuffed calamata olives and literally all the burgers. The vibe is always great and the service is good too! Definitely check it out

Absolutely fantastic food and drinks. It may be a bit pricey but its sure worth it. Definitely try any steak, their incredible cocktails and craft beers and the marrow bone. I would suggest trying a few starters as they are really worthwhile.

Unity is definitely our favourite bar/restaurant in Durban. We find ourselves here at least every second week - its the perfect spot for a relaxed drink, or a delicious burger or curry. The waiters are friendly, and the vibe is great.

Unity used to be one of our favourite places but we stopped going a couple of years ago as the food just wasnt as good anymore. We gave it another try last night and were disappointed in the food and the service. The starters were ok but three of us had stuffed olives that had nothing inside them. The manager took them away and the waitress gave us an excuse about the injection process. They replaced them with more empty olives. The mains lacked flavour and my veg burger was very dry. Also, one of the few vegan options contained honey, which is not vegan. The service was very slow and the drinks were overpriced. Very disappointing and we wont be back in a hurry.

The Chocolate brownie what ah ma zing! yum! just the right amount for me, not huge. and lamb curry pie authentic and beautiful, similar to the Oyster box, it did take about 30min but we didnt mind because it was worth it and the waiter did tell us wed have to wait. Thank you! great craft beer on tap, Irish red is the best! Dont go if you want peace and quiet, we really didnt mind the loud beats at all! depends on how you feel. Young and old go here 😊

I do love this place. Its the perfect local, with craft beer and a delicious menu. Its a little pricey, though, and very easy to get carried away with all the yummy things on offer. Go for the deep fried olives or jalapeño poppers to start, I promise its worth it.

Head here for one of the best home made hamburgers in Durban.If burgers are not for you, then try one of the other delicious offerings as everything is excellent.Theres a comprehensive selection of wines and spirits, but their in house craft beers (brewed on the premesis of their sister restaurant S43) are highly recommended.

Food still great. Atmosphere, depends on the day you go, I guess. For a Saturday night, it was pretty quiet at 10pm

This spot is a favourite of my wife and I. All the food and beer here is amazing, but some must tries is That Red beer and the lamb curry pie. Atmosphere and service is also 5 star.
