Today I went down to the George.I had an absolutely amazing Time! The vibe down there was Incredible!I had two barmen that looked after me (Gareth Kaiser and Dane McFarlane) they offered amazing service and made my whole night 💪🏼

This place is a must visit whenever I am in the area. You feel welcome, the staff engages you, and they have you drinking and eating in no time at all. They know what they are doing, know their drinks and promotes the daily special. This is a really cheap option and you feel like youre having your pubgrub of yesteryear. Absolutely loves it.

Unfortunately the service was slow even though it was quiet. Loadshedding started as we ordered so we were limited to what we could eat. It was also incredibly noisy.The menu has none of the old favourites that I remember.

The best place in Umhlanga to watch football. A good vibe for it, first experienced in an EPL game a while ago, and now for the World Cup. The fact that the place was packed, when all the other joints in the same strip, all screening the same World Cup match, were practically empty, says it all.

The George is always busy. If you are going for a quiet lunch dont think that peace is what youll get... However, wanna watch the game with your mates, have a ladies or gents night out, randomly bump into the locals who youve know since school days... Then the George is the place to be. On the side of the village, this little pub has a great reputation for being the main local hangout... It has that reputation for a reason, The food is great, like really yummy food :D and hanging with friends having a fun time always makes a weekend awesome. Definitely 5 stars all the way!

We popped in for a late breakfast and being in Lockdown we unfortunately could not have the liquid refreshment that we wanted :( but the coffee was really good and brekkie decent for the price. Service was good as usual.

My friend and I had an awesome evening out at the George. The food portions are very generous and the atmosphere is great! The waiters and waitresses are young and gorgeous. I would recommend this place for sure!

Food was bad. Had there lunch special I ordered the chicken bunny which was not curry at all and they must rather stay away from curry and leave it to a curry restaurant. My wife had the pork chop with mushroom sauce of which was extremely dry and tasteless. Will definitely not going back and rather leave it up to the locals to go and drink there.

If you havent been to the George then you havent been to a pub. It is never empty and always has an outstanding atmosphere and vibe. And you never know when you may see a celebrity or sports star coming round for a round or two.

Very popular venue for all age groups. Situated in the heart of umhlanga rocks and always busy. Food is above average and price of food and drinks also above average. Service was good even when full. Bathrooms need more regular cleaning when busy very enjoyable experience overall

Great little pub in the middle of the Umlanga strip, good vibe and seems to the local spot to grab a beer. The Rugby was on and there was more than enough TVs / Large Screens to get a great viewing. You can sit inside at a long bar or outside at bar tables and stools. I did not eat BUT the food looked amazing.

Hit the night off by trying to keep up with the locals, ended up being dragged into a beer-bong tournament in the restaurant together with the owner and competing against, lets say, competitive opponents and then being crowned beer-bong champions of the night.Might have been rigged now that I think about it.Nevertheless, had a memorable night.
