Advice to all pensioners who collect their SASSA money. Try not to go near this Checkers on the first day of payment, it is torture. They are badly organised and have a very laid back attitude. I stood in the que for 90 minutes to get my SASSA payment, they blamed the looting for the delay?

Please do update your operating hours, i was at Mall at 19h30 and store was closed while on Google u open until 20h00.

Long queues. Very long. Covid distancing not adhered to. POS machine software Continuously crashes. Long wait at till, long wait at lines. Long wait to enter. No temperature checks. Ordered coffee, and asked for it to be made so I can come back, collect and leave, only to return to be told we waited for you to return to have hot coffee. I was in a hurry. So besides in taking far too long to understand my very basic and simple order, they then delayed me further. Its 15 mins later and I still cant drink it. Poor service from a decent store. Not one of my better visits to the numerous Checkers I have visited and support internationally.

It can get very busy and the tills and isle are quiet cramped. Other than that they have friendly staff and all the grocery necessities.

Theres not even 1 m Distancing ! Staff an management ! Only at entrance is this applied W h y ? and other shoppers ! Theres No 1 lines at cashiers for queuing. Unfriendly irritated cashiers . And I Will cover the card machine when entering my pin why does it bother u staff

Went to the deli for breakfast at 10h50 and was told breakfast was over. The lady actually carried the bacon, sausages, toast etc away while telling me this. I understand it ends at 11h00? What is the problem?

Ive been to Checkers Southway mall on numerous occasions for odd items when in the area, but can never get 1.5 litres aQuelle lemon water. I have asked the store manager why they dont have stock but they dont seem to care. As for their bakery, rolls are stale and Im sure that they sell yesterdays old stock first. Checkers Malvern is much better experience, bakery always fresh and full stock of aQuelle on shelves at all times.

The store is always very crowded even when its not payday.

I’ve been shopping here with my family since 2001, the stuff is too nice, the ladies are beautiful, the money market line is almost always short, except when lotto people are around. They annoy the f out of me. Why can’t they have a self service Machine geez. The best checkers after the one in pinetown.

Convenient Mall. Not a wide variety of stores but you should find what youre looking for.

A great Checkers branch. Good meat and wine selection, besides the regular stuff. Only problem is that the queues are long during rush hour, and parking can be a pain.

Utterly disgusted in this Southway Checkers. 3 tills open at 10 H30 with long libes of people. NO speedtills open as according to them they dont open it on Saturday. No assistance frim cleaner to manager. I just keft my purchases and left. Pick n Pay were a better choice

Has all you need. Gets a bit busy though and sometimes you may find the displayed price is not the same product you may be buying. Always check the price tag is for the item you are buying.

I have a problem evertime I go there. The staff are not trained to deal with customers they are always having their own conversations while dealing with customers leading to mistakes made by themselves not even apologising for the inconvenience they cause you. You always have to wait forever in the queues even just to buy one item. I wouldnt advise anyone to shop there maybe until they sort themselves out.

Great place to do your shopping. Usually no longer line to wait in before paying or maximum time you may wait is 5-7 minutes.

Totally disgusted, bought milktart yesterday, 22 September 2018 and opened it as dessert for visitors and was embarrassed when it was sour...checked the date and it was sell by 21 September 2018...how can you keep items on your shelf passed the sell by date??? Ripping off your customers....pathetic
