Recently I purchased 6 Large scones and it was disgusting so unhygienic and pathetic of the bread ahead staff and factory not taking into consideration at all about covid 19,my mum cut into a scone this morning and I know purchased plain scones and she found a smoked cigarette filter inside which means it was baked with it and thats just really I have no words about their negligence.

Is good bakery been there for as long I can remember their fresh cream cakes are yummy and affordable nice and local

Bitterly disappointed. I am from Johannesburg and here with my family for 5 days. My husband is originally from here and 3 years ago he took me to bread ahead at the bluff, today we took the kids there but was told it moved. We googled one and found the one in Dr Pixlie street. Firstly no inviting aroma and no variety of selections. We each picked something, 6 items. To our surprise nothing was fresh. My carrot slice had green mouldy patches in it. Absolutely terrible. I will never buy from bread ahead. This is No way of serving the public. The same public that sustains your business.

Today I went to buy a cake @ Old Mutual Building Bread Ahead, since I couldnt go to Cowey Road. Their Bar one is so dry and inedible I am very disappointed.

I bought a pie today and I was given a terrible pie so i asked a ldy to change it for a better one and she did so but to my surprise the pie is old .the curry inside its so dry like it ws prepared last week. U cant even say eating a pie and the dough is dry itself . I cant expect us to pay such an amount and we get such terrible service .

Most disgusting Bread ahead store iv ever seen... I wish I could give it No Stars... Iv always supported bread ahead stores... And this store has changed my entire perception of Bread ahead... I bought a chocolate Crosant that was more like smashed dough than a pastry Crosant...the the store itself was so u kept yet I took my chances because I had no option seeing I only eat Halaal food.

I bought a cake that was obviously old, the cream was flakey. And it happened twice. So I guess it their habit to sell old cakes. This branch is turnishing the brand.

They make good cakes even though the prices are a bit steep for its market but they have a good variety.

Today I bought a vanilla cake, it was frozen we couldnt even eat it at that time, we had to keep it for about an hour, we couldnt even cut it. It was the last one at about 12:30. We were very disappointed.
