We went to order 2 platter from them . For our moms Funeral on Monday to collect on Tuesday. As we arrived they had forgotten to make it.BUT the man in charge had said he was truly sorry . He said that he would make if for us and deliver it for us as he said its was there fault . And he did personally deliver it him himself. I unfortunately dint get his name (My mind was all over the place that day )What great serviceAnd the platters where so nicely done and tastedamazing. I have tried to call the office to thank them personally but unfortunately no answer. But thank you for you to your amazing staff . Will definitely recommend there platters

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICEI am not happy with the service I have received from this Store. Last week Sunday 29 August 2021. The Driver of Sixty60 damaged 2 items from my order, i.e Mayonnaise and Beetroot but until now I havent had any communication from the Store or anyone for that matter. When I ask the Driver, he said he escalated the matter, but no one has been in contact with me. The Store landline is not even working. He gave me his Supervisors no Sandile Mhlongo, spoke to hm on whatsapp he said hes on leave, he gave me other no, name Edrich, is the one handling the matter. I called Edrich, he said hes not aware of the incident, I should call the Store. Yet Ive already paid the Store full amount fr my groceries, bt I still havent received my 2 items. I shouldnt have trusted the Driver when he said he was escalating the matter, I shouldve dealt with the matter right then... So disappointed, I will never use this online platform again, ever!!!!

The shop is always clean and smells fresh. The staff is helpful. But theres always a long wait at the money market, something needs to be done there to improve customer service.

Opens 08am to 08pm everyday, even on public holidays. Closed on Christmas day though.

Covid 19 central. Absolutely no care in the world here. Security or staff do not enforce masks being worn properly, infact the floor managers and packers and some of the cashiers have their nostrils exposed taking in the fresh air... whats the point of the mask then... watching a staff member coughing over the bag of potatos he is emptying onto a rack... really? very unimpressed. If I dont see improvement on my next visit, I will be getting the department of health to join me on a shopping expedition to see for themselves.

The Calamari strip are a CALAMITY. why are they always burnt and dry? bought 3 times and yes they were the same all 3 times.

I am not happy with the kind of service I received at checkers Davenport on the 26th of June 2019 to purchase a bus ticket . I handed my drivers license to the teller, she was not friendly nor helpful. All she could tell is they dont do bookings without the ID book.when I asked her since when is ID the only requirement?.she told me since March as I requested for the manager who supported the tellers statement . I still feel that they is not transparency, openness and honesty here, I bought bus tickets at this same shop after March using my drivers license. Hence I travel to Johannesburg every month.

Onion is always rotten kindly speak to your supplier. On the outside it looks healthy but rotten on the inside spoiling the entire onion. Cannot take it back coz i discover as i cook. I do not have the receipt anymore....

Hyper shop. You get everything that you would want in a supermarket here. There is enough room for big trolleys and good prices to match. Many till points and adequate parking.

Wonderful Checkers location , 2 stars as this issue has been effective for a long time , the shop is designed is such a way that during 12-1 , 3-7 the queues the normal shopping experience, is almost impossible as the queues go half way up the isles which are narrow the begin with. One is not able to reach the shelves. Service and products 5 stars

The service is shocking at this Checkers. Only 1 person at the Bakery, no rolls available, I saw Panini there but was told I am unable to buy them. Queues were horrendous, customers just accept this shoddy slow service. I only had 2 items headed to the Kiosk which also took ages. Manager seemed disinterested. Maybe they understaffed???? Yes they busy, making good money Im sure but feeling frustrated and dismayed and will not step foot in the store again if I can help it!!!

This Checkers is so clean, the produce is fresh, the display of their food items just make me want to buy everything. The bakery sells divine goodies too and the management is on point!. I give them a 10/10.

Surprisingly well stocked checkers! Not the largest checkers Ive seen but boy they keep most of everything. I found Nescafé Dolce Gusto capsules cheaper here than anywhere else (was R79 a box vs R89 everywhere else). Staff are friendly and helpful.

Clean and friendly helpful staff.Challenge in the morning when the shop opens theres stampede esp when its month end and pensioners and grant are/is getting paid.Wonder if its impossible to open both doors at once or put something thats gonna force customers to stand in line to avoid hurting elders 🤔

Always the worst customer service out of all the checkers. Shelve packers leave empty trolleys blocking the isles. The most unfriendly and rude tellers. Always working so slow. No packers at tills. Try to shop at another checkers.

Eh gets the job done but there are nicer shops that are much less busy.

This morning i went to Checkers in Davenport to look for a small hikers gas stove, and i found a whole shelf full of the gas cannisters but no stoves, how is it possible to keep the cannisters but not the stoves.I must note that every cannister i picked up off of the shelf was badly dented, and as far as i know dented gas cannisters are very dangerous.Another thing that i must note is that whenever one is looking for assistance there is never a floor supervisor about. I stood in the middle of the aisle shouting for help at the top of my voice and NOT one staff member came to see what was going on, so many people shop at this store something needs to be done about the customer service in the store.

HiI bought a microwave from Checkers Devenport Square in Glenwood, Durban. When I got home I opened my new microwave only find that it was dented.I was so upset because I stay in a flat that doesnt have a elivator and I had to carry the microwave 7 flights of staircase into my flat. I also hired a cab to take a microwave home.Now that meant if I wanted to exchange the microwave, I will have to carry it back 7 flights of staircase down before I get a meter taxi (cab) from my place back to Devenport, exchange the dented one for a good one before jumping back into the cab that would have to wait for me.But yesterday I decided to go to Checkers with my proof of purchase and I spoke to a young lady by the name of Charlene Ferreira ( Assistant Manager). I explained my situation and she took my contact number down and she promised that will organise someone to exchange the microwave for me.Today I gave her a call at about 12h30pm just to remind her, and she said I must come to the shop, where we inspected the other mirowave with the help of Mr Theo Victor we were all certified and she went looking for a trollley and Mr Victor wheeled the microwave to the Charlenes car and she drove me home with my microwave.We got to my flat Mr Theo Victor carried the microwave 7 flights of staircase into my flat.I felt like a king, I felt so blessed and I am just short of words to thank Charlene for getting out of her way to make sure that the customer is happy and certisfied.I LOVE MY DEVENPORT CHECKERS
