Zaras Cafe is one of the longest standing restaurants in the Lifestyle center. It has always been a place of great quality food and atmosphere. Reasonably priced items on the menu with plenty options of meals as well as freshly baked goods from the ovens. This is also a proudly Greek family-run cafe.

A wide selection of vegetarian meals available. Excellent service from our waitress, Emma. The toasted cheese sandwiches was served with a generous helping of salad. They also made a very good veg burger, patti was made with a mix of vegetables. Will go back.

Service is great and so was the food. The halloumi and avo salad was a winner as well as the chicken crispa.

Possibly the best feta I have tasted. Excellent cappuccino too.Impeccable service as always.

Had high expectations due to good ratings. Asked for crispy bacon it was rock hard close to burned. Menu lack add on options and waiter seem unsure as to all the add on options. Food took quite some time to arrive and the overall experience was very average. On a good day wimpy can beat this breakfast

Very disappointed,manager was very loud telling waiters how much she just paid for menus in front of everyone, the custard slices that we purchased was very disappointing. The management is happy to take S.A money but does not know how to take care of our people. Stay away

There is no doubt that Zaras cafe is the perfect spot for a hearty breakfast. The setting gives off a Tashas vibe and the crowd is a combination of family and professionals grabbing a quick bite. The service we received was fantastic and the quality of food is worth the visit!

I have just had the worst service and breakfast experience.I ordered eggs Benedict…. Simple enough!And then waited ……..at least an hour for my order to arrive. The Cafe was not at all busy.When my order arrived it was the beginning of a catastrophic journey, the slither of thin ham under the eggs that had also become hard, back to the ham, obviously the order had sat in an oven, causing the ham to dry out to the extent of being brittle, the eggs which were supposed to be medium, were hard, nicely covered up with the with hollandaise sauce. I asked for the manageress after some arguing about the ham she took it back to the kitchen after offering to replace it.So again a wait, then she presented me with scrambled eggs and two pieces of toast,and cherry tomatoes. By this time I was starving, I don’t eat scrambled eggs, surely before doing me this extraordinary favour she should of at the very least asked if I would be satisfied with scrambled eggs, after ordering eggs Benedict, you would think so wouldn’t you.Instead when I became irate she went on a loud attach telling me clearly nothing was going to make me happy and promptly told the staff to, with hand gestures as well, “Take it back to the kitchen, nothing will make her happy”I also received an arrogant lecture about the length of time she has been in the business, and how she always makes her customers so happy.Well well well you sure did not bring a smile to my lips.Rude loud Manageres, who assumes she can treat her customers as though she is running a soup kitchen, take it or leave honey.I will not be going back.

Waiter pre-occupied and unhelpfull. Showed him bird droppings on the chair seat and he didnt clean it. Contents of salt and pepper bottles were soft and didnt dispense because the bottles had no lids.

Food and service is excellent. A very popular place with covid protocol in place. Wil for sure visit again.

Lovely food but very slow service considering our table of 8 were only 1 of 2 tables taken. the other table had 2 people. it took forever to have our drinks order taken and to finally receive the drinks but the food was worth the wait. I would try them again.

The food and service was awesome. The Sunrise Burger is breakfast on a bun, and is definitely recommended with a delicious home made beef patty. Substitute is allowed for people who dont eat bacon (pork).

Very poor experience. Chicken in the Meze Platter was raw - now concerned about food poisoning. Ordered medium eggs with another meal and they were very soft.

Stay away!!!! Poor management and poor kitchen hygiene and inspection. In general poor customer service. We found a piece of foil in my daughter’s pancake meal. Manageress apologized by saying “this is South Africa”. It sounds like she saying that they accept poor service of her staff but is happy to accept our South African rand. The manageress was also very loud, rude and condescending, only occasionally taking time out for lengthy conversations with one or two customers. I urge South africans and international tourists to stay away from this place, they are not what they appear to be from face value.

Ordered lamb krisper . Cooked for 5 hours lamb was terribly dry and chewy . Plain and bland . The dish overall not great I was so disappointed after seeing trip advisor reviews.I tasted a few other dishes too from family and they too were lacking in flavour and character .Sad result . The lamb had no garlic. No seasoning . No salt . Nothing at all . It needed a tie in a sauce with possibly other additions to bring it to life.

Zara’s cafe is an amazing family run cafe I recommend their Nougatina, it is out of this world.

Used to be better... Chocolate cake a bit crumbly and not as flavourful anymore. Nut meringue comes with too much poor-quality (and flavourless) ice cream.

All relative hype, had the Iberica Hash breakfast. The hash brown was soggy. Also had the Sunrise burger, the patty lacked flavour and was slightly dry even though it was medium. Service was great though.

Was good. Just i think the lady owner disciplining staff in front of everyone was a bit unnecessary.

Extremely poor management. Phoned to make a reservation afterwhich I was informed that no reservations can be made. I was then informed to still come and a plan will be made. Upon my arrival, no tables were available and I was given the option to wait 50min to 60min. Definately not coming back.

The staff is friendly and the owner is very passionate about the food they made. We planned to have coffee and the custard sliced which was super awesome. What an amazing experience my hubby had the lamb on the flat bead!!! We will go back for breakfast tomorrow.
