A great performance by Pieter Dirk Uys! Enjoyed my Darling Brew beer and the food was delicious, highly recommend the soup of the day with sour dough bread on the restaurant menu. Experience your childhood again with the Darling Sweet toffees on sale or visit the shop in Darling for more treats.

Outstanding! The restaurant has been revamped - so fitting for Tannie Evita! From the host that meets you at the door to the vetkoek en tee served as an apperitiff to the exceptional table service, delicious food and drinks and to top it all the chef comes round and chat. An experience not to be missed!

Very disappointed. The magical mood of a real train station is gone. All that is left is a very modern coffee shop and a museum.

A special thanks to Fritz and Hentie, for an amazing meal and experience at Kossie Sikelela, the food was amazing. They made us feel welcome and at home. The only way we could describe Henties and Fritz cooking is ouma se kos as a fine dining experience, absolutely worth every penny. Weve decided to make it a regular stop. Thanks again and Tannie Evita was hilarious

Fun and unexpected!Perfect little spot to stop at for breakfast, lunch or just a cup of coffee. We took a short detour through Darling on our way to Paternoster. Stetched our legs and enjoyed a delicious cappuccino before we took the last stretch to Paternoster. Make sure you go and look at the Evita museum which is also there.

Interesting place with great memorabilia from Evita and her political past. Sadly the old theatre has been replaced with a Café by the new owners, but it serves great breakfasts. Definitely worth a visit. The theatre actually doubles up as a cafe during the week and reverts to a theatre on weekends. Thanks for the correction by the owners.

A fascinating restaurant with loads of character. Loads of memorabilia from the old apartheid South Africa in the adjacent building and a shop full of interesting things. I would have given 5 stars if the restaurant was vegan friendly, but they could not offer even a single vegan lunch option.

Evita Bezuidenhout has been part of our household since 80s. I went on a bike trip with a friend. We saw the sign to Evita se Peron while driving around Darling. What a pleasant surprise. A little museum...takes you back a couple of years. Amazing collection. They are busy with some improvements we will definately stop there again.

As always Darling was a must stop for us and what is Darling without Evita se Perron. We had lovely food and was taken on a journey through time through the eyes of a legend and folk icon with snippets of the history of the country and lots of moments with Evita Bezuidenhout. It has changed a bit since the previous visit but is still evenly entertaining. Glad to see that this spot was kept alive.

What a great trip down memory lane. The Nauseum Museum is full of apartheid political melorabilia and boere kitsch. Our kids had no frame of reference so I would recommend it for people old enough to know Tannie Evita and the politics of that era. The food in the restaurant is really really nice! We were fed up with greasy restaurant food after a week on the road and it was nice to just have a plate of regular food that was well prepared. The service is extremely friendly. Worth a visit.
