Loved the place. Closer to the N1 if youre traveling. Its neat and the reception service is seamless.

This is the second time we use this rooms on short notice and every time the rooms are neat and tidy. I will recommend this for all travellers. Safe parking and close to main road.

What a disgrase???Dirty bedding!7 Black men having their party right in front of our room. Was asked at 22h00 to be silent, just keep on talking loud as only they can, having a couple of beers outside.Bathroom fan making a terrible noise, basically impossible to sleep at night.If you want to stay over in a place as close being like a township...this is it!!Needing a night of rest in a clean bed, look further. Its a mess!!

Close to N1, friendly service, across the road from OK. Clean and winter sheets for bed during winter.

Room and bathroom wasnt clean. Cockroaches and other bugs on bedding which had oil spots on. No fitted sheets and sheet on mattress didnt cover it totally. Fridge had leftovers from previous guests. Window handle fell off when opening it. Door couldnt lock and we had to move to another unit which given that it was late was an inconvenience. Only plus was friendly staff. Not Covid friendly given lack of hygiene.

Not bad at all. However it might be time for an upgrade. Our TV was not working and be prepared as the offer braai facilities, but do not have cutlery or plates. You can buy it from OK Grocer across the road, but not the cheapest and best quality cutlery available.

No cutlery or plates. No basin to clean cups and glasses. Bathroom needs attention, TV needs and upgrade. Pool was green. Can be a great stopover, but needs an upgrade.

Gable inn slipping Im afraid,although we were in pretty newly appointed room,quality pretty rudimentary.Stsff still pleasant and helpful though so thankyou for that.For a sleep over ok and price is ok but some better places out there.

Clean and tidy, pet friendly, no frills 24 accommodation for a reasonable price.I arrived at 3am but staff were still friendly and accommodating.

This is the worst place I ever stayed.Your bedding smells like its never been washed. Your shower floor is a disgrace.Incase you didnt notice its Covid..WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT

Friendly staff at reception,helped us very quickly as allot of people came in for a sleepover,room very small with tv,small fridge,kettle and basics for coffee,hand basin was running out slow,toilet seat broken shower leaked into bashroom,but overall very nice for quick sleepover,also very secure parking.

It was very nice staying at the Inn. The rooms where clean and so where the bathrooms. The rooms also had a fridge which helped, especially for keeping drinks cool for the next days drive. The mattress was okay but a bit worn out which made it a bit uncomfortable and the room was quite hot, even with the windows open. The curtains didnt have a black out so quite a bit of light came through the curtains. But it was an overall enjoyable stay. Would stay there again.

Not value for money. One fan and no a/c. No restaurants have to go into town or drive to highway to KFC. Credit card machine not working had to pay cash.

A drop and sleep by place after a long exciting journey from N1 north.A refreshing stop over into the Cape 😉 early morning drive to the Oceañ on hot scotching day.

Look its not the best, but its got a clean bed and air conditioning. My only issue is safety, they have sliding doors for the rooms, never felt safe really

All you need for resting your head.

I phoned to ask for a booking, i was not even done talking yet when the lady told me we are full and put the phone down in my ear. She did not even hear the date or the questions i had , while talking to her she was shouting at someone in the back not even listening. I am so disappointed.

So this place has gone down. Not deserving of their supposed 3 star rating. Issues with break ins into cars, leaking roofs, unsafe electricals, kettles no longer switching off when the water boils and having to walk to reception to ask for coffee, milk and sugar sachets (some of which they dont have stock off). Generally well kept and clean so not all bad.

Real oasis when you need rest.Some showers need propar sealing and maybe aircon in all the rooms.Otherwise i reccommend to everyone travelling Cpt and Back to stop there👍

Neat and clean. Staff is very helpfull and friendly. The room we slept in was spacious with aircon, which was a bliss in the heat. Will definitely sleep here again. Swimming pool was also a plus for cooling off.

If youre passing by to your destination and you just want somewhere to lay your head and wake up early and leave then yes Gable inn its okay, but other than that its a definite no no! Their service is poor, only 2 TV channels are playing, the pool is small and dirty, kids swings are old and broken, there is absolutely nothing appealing about Gables inn.

Terrible service. Made a booking, which was confirmed twice. Got there, just to be shown away very rudely, told that they are full and our booking does not reflect due to an apparent system glitch. Have the emails to prove it was confirmed, yes, twice! Owner said its not their duty to inform clients. Avoid this place.

PLEASE READ!!!This is the worst place Ive ever stayed at!My husband and I didnt sleep at all! We were itching the whole night. These people need to check for bed bugs because it was so bad! Upgrades also need to be done on this place! On the website it looks nice but once you get there it is really not what you expect! Heater didnt work, shower was so dirty and the bedding looked like it hasnt been washed in a really long time. There was stains on the sheets, hair and what looked like old dried blood! REALLY NOT IMPRESSED!!

While building exteriors are well kempt, the room interiors are in desperate need of a revamp. Linen and towels are worn and threadbare, bed lamps are disconnected and appliances are outdated. Good only for a necessary, quick, no expectations, no luxury stay over.

24hrs, walk-in accommodation. Conveniently situated near the highways off-ramp, but still quiet.Room shows general state of neglect. We needed a bed to sleep in before carrying on with our journey, unfortunately the double bed in unit G1 was so creaky and wobbly it took forever to get to sleep and then one was too scared to move because the other would be woken up by the noise and shaking.Then we finally got to sleep only to be woken at 6am by the staff talking to each other from one end of the driveways to the other and singing as they stroll along.R460 (1Dec2018) for the room for the night. It sleeps three. A double bed and a single.

Price good but very basic

For R500 a night there is not Aircon or fan only a tiny portable fan that does not help at all.I can here absolutely everything in the room next to me absolutely everything to talking to using the bathroom.The TV is so small I was unable to even watch.For 500 Rand per night I think it is disgusting what you get.

It is a good stopover for a rest between Cape Town and Johannesburg and vice versa. Just enough comfort for the nightly stay.
