Quiet, friendly place. Seun was very helpful.
We were so well received, the room was clean and fresh. Lovely people, gorgeous place!! Felt like a little oasis. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Thank you guys!
Lovely historic buildings. Petter is a fantastic host and very very helpful. Room and beds very comfortable too. Highly recommended.
We had a very nice stay. The host, Petter, was very welcoming and informative. The B and B is very close to Bars and Restaurants which is all within walking distance. Its also very safe! Just too expensive for what you get. No TV. And only a microwave and a sign that asks you not to eat inside.
Peaceful setting, inviting gardens and genuine decor
Not as advertised. No TV, drain smell, no milk and no tea.
The host,Petter,is a kind and warm person.I felt welcome. My room was well furnished. I had a good nights rest.
Unfortunately this place is not as advertised. A bit disappointing.
Stayed overnight at Coniston House on two separate occasions. We loved it. Very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was great! The owner and her son, Giles, are lovely people and are people of integrity. My daughter accidentally left her camera there and I received an email from Giles, to let us know that they had found the camera and would keep it for us until we could collect it.Will definitely be back!
No TV no breakfast Old oranges to fight a war with No sugar No tea I dont think I would allow my domestic to stay in the room We stayed here many years ago and it was stylish and wonderful Very disappointed
Extremely poor service !! Tried to book accommodation, first cellphone number does not exist. Finally got hold of manager, requested booking but he did not get back to us. Would definitely not recommend
By far my favourite place I have stayed so far in Colesberg. I will most certainly be back there again soon.Beautiful building and bedrooms with friendly staff and delicious food.Good job Coniston! Thank You! :)
Owner is hugely accomadating, hugel helpful, great rooms
If you’re not into old world charm, this isn’t the place for you. Wooden antique floors and a beautiful spiral staircase take you back to yesteryear. It’s a clean and comfy place to stop over on a drive down to Cape Town from Joburg, although the beds are probably due for replacement. Also, it’s probably better to skip breakfast and find something on the road.
Perfect for overnight. Bar fridge would be a great benefit
The guesthouse is old and in need of attention. Unfortunately, on the night we stayed over the towns water supply was out. We had a safe and fairly comfortable sleep but departed early the water supply had still not been restored.
An almost 200 year old house with beautiful charm and centrally located close to restaurants. Our room was nice and clean, but never got the breakfasts we paid for.
Rarely do you get a chance to experience a piece of our history like you do whilst staying at Coniston. Built in 1835 and still owned and operated by the original family. Comfortable well appointed guest suites and serene oasis style gardens. And walking distance to town and restaurants. Please stay here for your overnighter on your trip through.
Nice enough. Breakfast is very slow (hour wait) and was cold. Besides the lack of heat, breakfast was pretty tasty
Thank you very cozy
Beds are okay; breakfast was good but took ~1hr for 2 eggs and bacon...
After an 8 hr drive had to wait for 10 min for someone to open gate. Parked in boiling sun cramped space. Room was tiny.. globes out. Bed uncomfortable no TV..no milk for coffee. No fresh air in room. Not a pleasant experience . Very poor value for money
Very highly priced for a room with no TV or aircon and the drain of the bathroom basin was blocked
Colesberg accommodation at its best! Thanks goes to the friendly staff, and the facilities were great :)
Comfortable overnight spot.
Will never recommend anybody too stay there.Owner is the most terrible host.
Nice and clean
Manager was not very professional
Night from HELL!!! Never ever again!!!!!
